yeah true , but i want to point out , was'nt rengoku kinda dumb, all he had to do was keep his distance fighting defensively until sun came up , but he decided to fight close combat and attacking , even if he knew he cant ever defeat akaza. if he fought defensively we would have an extra hashira for the final arc . lets be honest fighting attackingly had no benefits in the end at all
@@LinoAckenjiroHe would’ve lost fighting defensively from a distance. And if he kept his distance, he wouldn’t be able to protect the others. By fighting in close quarters, he focused akaza’s attention on him
@@Mc_Assassin lmao akaza's attention was all on him, akaza wasn't interested in tanjiro or inosuke lol.do you think akaza will lose interest in fighting a hashira? Lmao He would have definitely survived if he fought defensively and maintained a specific distance lmao. Rengoku can't ever defeat akaza, so fighting attackingly was super super dumb. He would have lost fighting defensively? You say like he won fighting attackingly . and i said he would have survived if he kept a distance with akaza , that does not mean i said he would keep a distance with tanjiro and others , he would hold his ground near tanjiro and fight defensively and akaza doesnt have time for weaklings (akaza thinks of tanjiro as a weakling)
@@LinoAckenjiro he literally gets injured by and is unable to block akaza’s ranged attack. How could he have survived from a distance. And even if he could dodge the range attacks, what is stopping akaza frim just closing the distance? And I already said that Rengoku couldn’t beat akaza either way. But considering that akaza went straight for tanjiro, most likely because he had the earrings, he decided to put himself between akaza and tanjiro, rather than fight at a distance where he wouldn’t be able to stop akaza in time in case he made a move to kill tanjiro again. From considering rengoku’s nature and his situation, it was both in character and not a terrible strategy for him to fight close quarters.
@@Mc_Assassin lmao , yeah he got injured , but still even after those injuries he decided to fight attackingly . yeah akaza could close the distance , but rengoku can widen the distance as well , like the time he launched akaza into the forest in the middle of the fight . as soon as he figured out that he cant beat akaza , he should have fought defensively . akaza also has pride lmao . do you think akaza would cowardly decide to go for tanjiro in the middle of his fight with rengoku , yeah sure he went for tanjiro at the start , but that was before he and rengoku started fighting . akaza wouldnt throw away his pride and go for tanjiro in the middle of the battle. there was just one attack between rengoku surviving and rengoku dying (the donut attack) , why dont you think rengoku could have avoided that 1 attack if he fought defensively and waited for the sun. yeah i know rengoku is strong and cool . but fighting agressively instead of defensively even after he knew that he cant defeat akaza was just super super dumb. rengoku used his final form at 1:33:42 , became a donut at 1:35:30 and sun came up at 1:38:55 , so there was only 3 minutes(ignoring 2 minutes of flashback) between him surviving and him dying . he definitely would have survived if he fought defensively
Rengoku as a character is so likeable, but his final stand made me genuinely adore him and remember him in such a positive light. The Uppermoons are such a threat that Akaza was basically toying with Rengoku the entire time, until Rengoku made one last ditch effort to try and kill him. He probably knew he was done for, but he still gave it his all because he knew he was the only one that possibly had the strength to save everyone, and he wanted to use it, even at the cost of his life. Even two seasons after his death I'd say he's still my favorite Hashira.
Just to clarify, Akaza is likely the most moral of the twelve kizuki, and he only strives to get stronger and stronger. He has an entire moral code he follows for how he conducts himself. It was a great foil against Rengoku, because you can see even the best person among the demons does not even hold a flame to one of the best Hashira. You lose your humanity, even if you try to cling to it, as a demon.
30:47 Rengoku making Akaza experience the same level of terror Zeke felt at Levi's hands. Even though they both escaped, they were forever shook by their close encounters with super powerful swordsmen.

Rengoku definitely gave his all. He knew after his first few hits he was not strong enough to beat Akaza, but he knew if his pupils who were watching him to still fight with all his heart, that they can beat him and avenge where he has fallen
not just that, before rengoku, nobody has any idea how strong and how uppermoon's work. Rengoku did a very good job by keeping the trio alive so they could get the informations about the 12 kizukis for the other hashiras to hone their skills

No spoilers, but let’s just say things would’ve gone differently if another upper moon had been sent to send a message. Akazas mindset of loving to fight and train can be seen pretty clearly here. He could’ve won the fight the second time he hit rengoku and killed everyone else in short order but he chose to drag out a fight with the hashira cuz he wanted to train and recruit him. This let rengoku delay long enough that Akaza had to run before killing anyone else. Other demons would’ve chosen to kill the biggest threat quickly and then butcher and eat every human there.

I hope you guys can do a seperate small reaction to the Japanese VA for Tanjro. Specifically the scene at the end where he's yelling at the upper 3 demon. It's one of the few scenes the dub could not replicate. The VA also does a live rendition of it somewhere on youtube.
It is case by case with shows. Demon Slayer's is best subbed and my hero is best dubbed. Witth demon slayer if you watch the dub you are losing like 70% of the emotion and the dialog is awkward.
If you don't speak Japanese then don't ever say things like this. It's absolutely dumb how people will die on a hill saying sub is better when they don't have any understanding of the language at all. You don't know if they are using words out of context. You don't know if they pronounce words correctly. You don't know if they are applying appropriate emphasis in the right places according to how thr language is spoken. Hell you dont even know if they are saying what the subtitles say. The only thing you can comment on is the English dub because you can understand the language and how it's used. You have 0 clue if the sub is truly better because you don't understand any of it
@@razerscale3590 YES!!!!!!! THIS. 100%. Also, if you're used to watching sub, then dub is going to sound weird and off, especially at first. Likewise, if you watch in dub then sub is like nails on a chalkboard. I agree 100%. Even with the sub, and assuming it's accurate, you still miss sooooo much watching sub. You miss slight nuance, context, hidden jokes, etc. Without any understanding of how Japan uses language and slang and dialect etc, etc, it's extremely silly to say "the acting is so much better". Honestly, they have no clue if it is! And the English acting is fantastic! It just seems off when you're so used to it in Japanese. That's it.
You still have to give rengoku alot of credit. He is ranked level 6 hashira. Took on the 3rd strongest demon and still almost killed him and was strong enough to catch one of his punches and held out till daylight. That's still a victory since no one else was killed. No one can take akaza alone but rengoku did the best. Had it been upper rank 5 or 6 rengoku would be able to kill them by himself. But 4 is where they are getting to the point were 2 or more hashira are needed to kill them
I think you do have to give him a lot of credit but it's just not true that he was remotely close to beating Akaza. Infinity castle showed Akaza was far stronger than he showed here even against marked hashiras. Akaza was never in any danger until his arms were stuck in Rengoku. And there in lies the most impressive part, holding akaza there for even a few seconds is truly impressive, with just his muscles. Unfathomable feat. But still it is not right to say he was close to beating akaza
If you read the manga, you’d see what you just said gives WAY too much credit to Rengoku. Akaza could have easily speed blitzed him in seconds. He didn’t even use a single kicking ability. Akaza wanted to prolong the fight to break Rengoku’s will so he would see fighting him is futile and become a demon
@pandax5359 akaza almost died and had a panick attack and was literally fearful for his life. I'm not saying rengoku would of beat him bit he still almost did wether it was ignorance on akazas part. To point when he finally did take it seriously was him trying to break free before sun light but had trouble and BARELY escaped. Yes rengoku in fact almost killed him in that moment
@coolgadgets7915 if rengoku was so weak then akaza wouldn't even try to recruit him that's the thing. All he talked about was his strength. Akaza can kill anyone 1v1 just like he did rengoku except gyomi and the wind hashira and in the end no one really killed him he just gave up more or less.
@@BaMBaM-gi6yx rengoku wasn't weak. It's like if a university professor compliments a soon to be high school graduate. Are they even remotely close in knowledge and certification? Hell nawh. But the student is promising.
Obanai saying "I don't believe it" after hearing Rengoku died, is because they grew up in the same household and are basically brothers. He looked up to him.
the other hahsira is so lucky that it was rengoku and tanjirou's team that encountered akaza. Rengoku saved the trio's lives and so they brought back the information on how strong the uppermoon's was and later this info helped them to train more and hone their skills to finally beat muzan and the uppermoon's in this era
The thing is, most people don't realise how strong Akaza is.. Because he wasn't giving his all with Rengoku. The only reason he almost got beaten is because he was toying with Rengoku the whole fight (you can see the first moment he was surprised was when Rengoku cut his left arm with his ultimate technique and the only moment he stopped smiling, thus taking it seriously, was just after when he deflected the slice with his other arm), until the end where he was genuinely not playing anymore when he noticed the slash would be dangerous, thus leading to him plunging his fist into Rengoku's belly. That's the only moment in the whole fight where Akaza actually fought seriously, and that's exactly when Rengoku lost. Now yeah, Rengoku could have won this fight if it wasn't for Akaza being genuinely surprised to be stuck and that Rengoku's devotion to protect all the 204s passenger actually gave him hummongous last resort strength ; not to mention the sun about to rise. Remove the rising sun and maybe Akaza would have died with Rengoku, and I say MAYBE But remove all the passengers, and Akaza destroys him with barely to none effort
Akaza was heavily holding back in this battle but rengoku keeping him in place as the sun started to rise caught him really of guard. If rengoku wasn’t injured and fatigued by enmu he would have defeated akaza no doubt, at the cost of his life of course
Well, here's hoping it won't get taken down this time. I posted this story on the first upload, so here it is again. When I saw this movie in the theater, one of the trailers was for the latest (at the time) Disney live action film. And the moment we realized it was a prequel story about Cruella DeVille, everyone in the room (myself included) let out a loud groan.
Lets just say that even if there was a second hashira they still wouldn't have been able to kill him. Can't say more without getting into spoiler territory.

you see akaza could have stayed there since he is upper 3 he could survive like 5-10 mins in sun prolly (upper 4 who is wayyy low powered than him could stay for around 5 mins) but if he did that the entire franchise would be over, why? cuz Akaza can just sweep the rest of em in under 2 mins, soo rather than saying he is a coward thank tanjiro's plot armor lol

It is case by case with shows. Demon Slayer's is best subbed and my hero is best dubbed. Witth demon slayer if you watch the dub you are losing like 70% of the emotion and the dialog is awkward.
You guys can have your opinions. Buy I think you miss a lot in the sub. And the American VAs did a great job!
That's it.
Akaza is my favorite of the Twelve Kizuki, and part of the reason is because i hear Felix from Fire Emblem Three Houses every time he talks. X3
Rengoku’s speech is one of my favorites in ALL of anime. So many lessons to learn from that
You still have to give rengoku alot of credit.
Oh man! You guys should have watched this movie in sub cause it’s really next level, all the emotions are brilliantly delivered by the VAs
They won't watch subbed because they both have auditory processing issues
Rengokus crow crying was the cherry on top of the saddness train. 😭
Balling over Erwin and barely shakey voices for Rengoatku is crazyyy 💔
The end of this movie really does feel like a punch in gut. ......🫠
I cry like a baby every time
The thing is, most people don't realise how strong Akaza is.. Remove the rising sun and maybe Akaza would have died with Rengoku, and I say MAYBE
But remove all the passengers, and Akaza destroys him with barely to none effort
It's super cool that both the Slasher demon and Akaza almost have similar tattoo designs like around the arms and torso
All of Season 2 of Demon Slayer is posted to Patreon now!

Akaza was heavily holding back in this battle but rengoku keeping him in place as the sun started to rise caught him really of guard.
If rengoku wasn’t injured and fatigued by enmu he would have defeated akaza no doubt, at the cost of his life of course
I'm happy to rewatch this as many times its re-uploaded 😁
Well, here's hoping it won't get taken down this time. I posted this story on the first upload, so here it is again.
When I saw this movie in the theater, one of the trailers was for the latest (at the time) Disney live action film. And the moment we realized it was a prequel story about Cruella DeVille, everyone in the room (myself included) let out a loud groan.
set your heart ablaze
I always wonder what if Inosuke managed to pierce through Akaza before he broke his arms, would they have kill him
Yes because then Tanjiro would have come to help hold him down.
Lets just say that even if there was a second hashira they still wouldn't have been able to kill him. Can't say more without getting into spoiler territory.
@@criticcreature2121 0% chance
Bro even uppermoon 4 is can endure like 5 minuted undet the sun so thry cant kill akaza
@@sherlockholmes5765i actually never put that together until now😅 Akaza probably would've been able to withstand the sun until he could get away
MANIFEST IT WILL STAY UP THIS TIME 🙏
I prefer who all watching. Demon slayer watch it in Japanese with subtitles, because get you can get the goosebumps feeling that that much in English dub
Hahaha she has the hots for Akaza
Rengoku's death hurts every time,
Wait, bro, please... Please don't tell me you think "ex machina" as a concept is a reference to a movie. 🤣😝 Anyway, this was a great reaction video. You two are very thoughtful and entertaining. Thanks for getting this out here for us all to see.
Yay! It worked! They're still here!
can we please recognize Rengoku fucking catching Akaza's punch??? holy fuck that always blows me away.
I honestly advice that you guys mute more of the music and show less of the footage, or at the very least make it more transparent, or put a filter over it or else the chance of it getting taken down again is still high, aniplex makes it really hard to post anything from this movie or series
Akaza my beloved
Upper 3 is far beyond an average hashira
i struggled with this every time i watch it i always cry
Crying with you guys ❤😢
NOT knowing about Akaza and seeing this in theaters, when that bass drop hit you could feel it i literally almost had an asthma attack from their fight I wasn't expecting it at all, it was hands down one of the best theater experiences I've ever had!
*possibly mild spoilers*
Can't wait to see the Infinity Castle arc in theaters! definitely going to need to bring my inhaler because omfg I was shaking during the season 5 finale, I can't even imagine how hard Ufotable is gonna cook
SET YOUR HEART ABLAZE!
Akaza let us know that the good don't always win
Rengoku will always be loved ❤😢
Something that I have seen a lot is the translation of the ninth posture of rengoku
Since in reality rengoku means purgatory xd
(At 18:23) This snowflake he's standing on is a compass needle?
ahh hope this doesn’t get taken down again 😭
I admit that I like the original voice more than the English dubbing.
The English 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Akaza really is a menace
Rengoku never would have won this fight. No one could. At the end of it, Akaza never got serious. And Akaza is not a coward. He would literally die in the sunlight of course he is running.
Yeah the Upper Moons are the only ones who killed Hashira regardless of how skilled they are
it seems like everyone and their mother knows that rengoku dies, its so wild you managed to escape that
(i still have like 30 minutes of the video to watch, maybe you did know idk, but for now you two seem clueless)
Is this re-uploaded
He isnt saying blood demon art because is blood demon art is his regeneration
I can’t believe how well rengoku did against akaza without his mark
I'm so sad abt rengokus death but look at zenitsu and nezuko sleeping next to each other 🩷💛🩷💛🩷💛🩷💛🩷💛🩷💛🩷💛

Their the sleepy couple 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Very surprised there was no tearbending in this video😢
Akaza is a cowered who runs from a fight by mere site of sunrise ....unlike Rengoku san who fight to the end fully knows that he's gonna die.
Even Nezuko have more guts to burned to death for saving people.
you see akaza could have stayed there since he is upper 3 he could survive like 5-10 mins in sun prolly (upper 4 who is wayyy low powered than him could stay for around 5 mins) but if he did that the entire franchise would be over, why? cuz Akaza can just sweep the rest of em in under 2 mins, soo rather than saying he is a coward thank tanjiro's plot armor lol
@@preo-yt2273 Bro Tanjiro earned every bit of strength from scratch and in their fight there was no plot armour either. He put up a good fight but Akaza didn't die from his attack. He ended himself ? There is no plot armour in that bro.
@@unnirajac8617 you misunderstood my sentence, I didnt mean plot armor via fight I mean plot armor via story.
Besides majin vegeta. This is still the only character to make me cry still
Way you colling akaza cawerd the sun for him his like a bomb for uou
Well the second season will be worth your while it’s leagues better then the first season
I love your reaction
He never actually new fire breathing he imitated it😢
In Kenny's mind, anime and movies invented and defined Latin. Latin meant nothing until the 2014 fim.
this is the fourth or third time lmao
youtube copyright sucks :(
did this channel post the same videos? or are they remaking new reaction video???
of cource they fight only at night it's the only time they can fight without hiding from the sun it not cowardness it's just smart
Akaza may have been playing around but because of it he utterly failed his primary objective from Muzan, Rengoku lost the fight but I have to say he won the war by protecting Tanjiro
Rengoku alone try to defeat him , but beside of this Tengen uzui is also strong Hashira but in defeating of gyotaro , who is also from twelve kizuki , tanjiro help him to kill gyotaro , while rengoku alone fight with the Akaza , it mean after gyomie rengoku is strongest Hashira
