G2's fan abuse formula. Step 1. Win LEC and get the first seed. Step 2. Hype up the fans saying that you are doing well. Step 3. Win every game in the first weeks. Step 4. Lose one to an asian team somewhere in the 3-4th week. Step 5. Proceed to lose to literally every single team for the rest of the tournament. Step 6. Go home and repeat for next year.

I guess it was a good draw, just not for G2. Man as a EU fan this hurts, but NRG really just gapped G2 today. Even though they had an easy draw (2 EU and 1 NA team), beating G2 in this fashion and in a bo3 is no easy feat. Alright NRG, you have to carry the weight of the best western team, good luck in quarters 💪
This is the most NA team that NA brought and they got out of groups. This isn't a stomp NRG straight up violated G2, also miky is an absolute griefer

Can I say now the "NA>EU"
As an EU fan,wp to NRG. The story of the underdogs and outcasts of other NA teams to go to quarters and silence everyone by beating the best hope of West is poetic. Wp to NA. Hope the West will improve and we will see them in semi and even finals one day.
Funny how the team with most imports in NA (TL) lost to a minor region and got eliminated early, while the team with no imports except for Ignar just beat the best team in the west to qualify for Quarterfinals. NA should take note.
G2 showing sup optimal performance, I'm highly suspecting they aren't taking NA seriously at all and their egos cost them this game. Meanwhile NA showing the will of people who got nothing to lose and all to prove

What an absolute MASTERCLASS from Contractz those two games. It's so amazing to see a bunch of players that kept on persevering, and poured there heart into improving after getting tossed around teams, playing in poor performing teams and even the challenger league. It's amazing to see them reap the benefits of their hard work. I really hope NRG makes it far. They played the series extremely well and they should be proud of their performance at Worlds for a team that no one had big expectations for. As for G2, I think they can claw there way back. G2 is a team that is familiar with playing in stressful environments and dealing with setbacks. I can see a world where they claw themselves out alongside NRG.

So proud of NRG!!! As a LCS fan its amazing to see our team play without fear and to try to win instead of not lose. I hope it makes more confidence in ourselves as a reigon that we can do well and we need to not make an enemy of our own mental. Also thank you EU fans for the props given very respectful and im hoping fanatic and G2 show up well for their matches and win (without playing each other) imagine the insanity if we get 3 teams in as the west? We were the underdog that showed up today, and hopefully they win tomorrow!
NRG really inherited CLG's bloodline. From being the doubted team who won LCS against the scary monster then performing like crazy internationally, reminding me of CLG's MSI 2016's amazing run.
NRG with the best performance an NA team has had a worlds. Palafox outclassing caps. What an amazing series
People used to push the narrative that NRG was greater than the sum of its parts, but this series showed that each player is capable of playing at a high level. As a viewer, I prefer seeing an inconsistent team with a super-high ceiling than a consistent team with a mid-high ceiling. I'm excited to see which NRG will show up to Quarterfinals.
You all know that it was Flowers factor that gave NRG the win.
