Even when C9 won the first game they said "bad draft from Afreeca" after the second game they said "some uncharacteristic misplays from Afreeca" after the third game silence. To be fair, TL 3-0 them in finals. So we have to see the rematch when they get back. Lets go C9!!!
Yeah, this C9 is much more evolved in playstyle than the C9 in the Play-offs
but TL didn't play to their potential as well and it also a bad meta for them. Right now they would lose I think, but in a different meta with the same experiences of now it would definitely be very close or TL would just shit on them.
That's the thing, being the best is a matter of consistency, adabtability and versatility, TL just settled with the mentality "we are the best" and didn't go above and beyond to test new and different playstyles and that's what got them off. I think they have the best players on Na but they lacked that drive and they didn't let themselves dream as other team like Fnatic very similar to them did-
C9 grew insanely in the past months. They showed that they're quick learners and adapt quickly, not to mention that they're insanely more confident now to make aggressive plays and control the tempo. Imagine being 10th place LCS to semis in Worlds... they improved alot :P I can't wait for next LCS to see their skill level compared to other NA teams now
Tbh I have never been a C9 or NA fan so I am saying this, you don’t have to like them but yall have to respect them they have always been the only NA hope ever, and they always surprise others even if they had a bad start, moreover they were always the least favourite out of all 3 NA teams every year.
True. Every year, they're always expected to perform poorly but they always step up or atleast get out of groups. Other seeds from NA on the other hand are always high-praised but ends up playing like bots. TL didn't even do sh*t in groups.

TSM isn't good with callshots. Bjerg isn't good but just alright but he could perform way better than this year and Zven isn't that good of an ADC. TL did horrible especially DL and Pobelter. DL is too cocky and Pobelter did worse than any mid laner.

As an EU fan I'm so fuckin happy for c9 and especially for SNEAKY.
This guy's been playing since 2012 on incredible levels and during his career this idiotic stupid community always flamed him for no reason; "he's boosted", "he's not good at this", "he's not good at that", "he's washed up", "his mechanics are bad", "his laning phase suck" ...
Few weeks ago he lost against THE BEST BOTLANE IN THE WORLD (aka rng) and everyone started to flame him again.
TODAY HE PLAYED GODLY.
NOW he's the first player (ALONG HIS TEAMMATES) and his team is the first NA organization to reach semifinals at worlds, with good chances to beat fnatic and reach the FINAL.

Smh with these conspiracy theories. Imo KT didn't look as strong as people were hyping them up to be. IG was always going to be a close match against KT. I thought AFs was the weakest out of the 3 Korean teams but GenG got knocked out with a whimper. C9 actually matches well role for role against AFs. G2 had a different style to RNG, imo RNG didn't draft well against G2, and Uzi and co had not their best series. RNG throwing their legacy for money is not likely. All in all, I wonder which script will win...

The west beat them in one worlds and everyone is losing their minds including me. However doesn't give you a right to be all haughty. You can not say oh the west is better than the east. The east has dominated for the past 5 years. The west hopefully will win this year. However let's see if it's a trend or just an exception.
Why are all the biased shit for brains analysts (except NA ones) writing C9 off like they never had a chance? Even after they fought out of the group of death and had the most convincing win of quarter finals they still seem to write it off as luck? They are all taking FNC this FNC that but FNC had the easiest group vsing the easiest opponents and although they have been winning well they make a lot of mistakes and get behind often in early game and if C9 plays the way the did today they will bend FNC over their knee and whoop them. Plus Reckless is the most emotional player in the world, they are one first game loss away from tilting into 2020 spring split. Also C9 commands a perma Zil ban which makes them pretty much always have their way in pick ban. So sick of these analysts down playing or not recognizing how INSANE C9 has been performing.

It is kind of boring to have to point out everytime someone mentions the first "worlds" that it wasn't actually a "worlds". Riot should just rename the first tournament and start counting starting season 2. Like everyone agrees that tecnically that wasn't a worlds. I am from EU and I dont care that we would "lose" a title. If they want to get creative, just give a different tittle to the winner of that tournament like a "decade title" a more omnious one and after 10 worlds, the team with more world titles (or adding some other metric) would win a chance to challenge the "decade title" holder. It would be just an extra fun event if doable.

This is irrelevant to worlds but i feel like skt should change up their top and jg and kick out thal and blank. They dont really contribute to the team that much and dont really have presence in team fights. Since blank works better with utility champs like zac or sej or other tank champs, thal also, idk about the current meta but i feel like thal and blank doesnt fit well with the current meta playstyle and the champs. Like how last year, peanut was a aggro jg but since the meta was around tank jg. He didnt do well

@zyklon b Faker's fine. One other man who makes SKT the team that they are is Kkoma. I think they need to improve their roster a little bit, especially the jungler and top lane, they're just so inconsistent. I also think they would atleast try to make plays around Faker than him being pressured in mid and the team relying on other lanes to make the plays.
