I am so confused by G2 drafts this series, the Xayah played incredibly game 1 so giving over rell and playing triple front line into one of the best characters to deal with multiple tanks is kinda crazy to me.
In these two games, G2 played without a jungler
I did not even had to watch the game. Saw the Ezreal Pick and skipped to Game 2

Then second game they make the same mistake, only this time they try to play early on fucking Lucian, who is dead from like what, 3 years?
And they again try to counter pick Chovy with fucking Talyah which also has just a little burst and so the team has no damage.

As a G2 fan watching this game i cant help but it made me admire GENGs macro gameplay like its pure form of art for that reason i guess stomping t1 in the finals is not a fluke but pure skill knowledge of the game, team executipn diff id better watch eastern leagues a lot more too see hpw it differs from the west.

yeah just unfortunate this worlds is totally different from last year's, in terms of the gap in between the contenders of the tournament. This year there's clearly a huge gap between Gen.G/JDG and the rest of the teams. G2 is having one of their most brilliant seasons and still they're nowhere near a match to Gen.G. Still, pretty excited to watch maybe the perfect finals ever that JDG vs Gen.G would be, hoping it happens and it turns out how it'd be expected to.
I want to believe this year sigh.... I guess it's a quarters exit this year again for us.

People talking about skill gap, look, im not american, neither european, so ill give my unbiased opinion. It was mostly draft gap, both games. The first one they had 2 adcs against a jax. Jax was just unkillable, he would press E, do whatever the fuck he wanted to the backline, and that was it, they did not kill him a single time. The second game they just had no damage, fucking lucian, really g2? And without a enchanter support that adc becomes even more useless. Also taliah is not a mage that deals a lot of damage, and the rest of their picks were tanks. That was draft gap way more than it was skill gap, I actually think they played nicely
First game Sylas was a probelm too thanks to Maokai and Lissandra ults.

His sheer threat in the mid game is quite decent and basically gives you a tank that can almost one shot the backline. The problem is teams are not using him in the draft properly by picking him last to provide draft advantages elsewhere.
They are not unbeatable, sure G2 got gapped but the gap isn't so big it's unsormountable
G2 can learn from this, and if they can level up just a bit they can do it
