Glad you got shot of the BMW 520d. It has the notorious N47 diesel which has a bad name for snapping its timing chain. Engine in 2015 was replaced by a modified B47 engine.
Is the B47 smoother?
It’s the tensioners that’s fall apart due to incorrect / too long service intervals.

I've just had a key fob cut and programmed for a 2018 Peugeot for £158 from Auto Lock Devon... Based in Exeter but fully mobile... Took 20 mins and the key looks identical to the original, check them out 👍

I love my 09 swift, just done 800 miles whilst on holiday, never missed a beat.
The detonators at the hinges will have gone off on the bmw after the small bump at the front, the bonnet pops up at the back and you can sometimes lock them back fown again fepending on the car, sometimes the hinges need replaced as well.
The stonechip foil on the hyundai will just end up a mess if you try and remove it and stick it back on ,youll be able to get one from hyundai, its a vlear foil so just watch you dont get dirty fingerprints on the sticky side when fitting it 😊

@@ChopsGarage If you're talking about UA-cam videos, the amount of fair use that big channels seem to get away with is more like 5 seconds. You'll notice bigger channels never exceed 5 seconds, likely because the claimants and YT claim system do not play fair

You really should be able to code your own keys makimg a replacement around 40 to 50 quid for most cars
You can't program your own keys anymore. Ford allow it with the T7 immobiliser chip. But that ended in 2007. When it programed with a laptop through the OBD2 port.
The key fob itself cost that much
