  • Documentarian Ward Hiney and skeptical journalist Chad Christy have teamed up, along with Small Town Monsters, to chase down leads of dogman sightings in the Ohio Valley. Stories of werewolves have drifted from European folklore into modern American pop culture, percolating in the subconscious of the populace for centuries. These tales often tell of terrifying, half-man/half-canid beings that roam the forests and fields after dark. Most think of them as little more than campfire stories meant to scare children, but for some there is much more to this than mere mythology.
Now filmmaker Ward Hiney, leading Werewolves Unearthed, a new Small Town Monsters production, is set to lift the veil on the enigmatic “dogman” of North America.
A recent rash of werewolf sightings in western Pennsylvania have grabbed the attention of documentarian Ward Hiney. In order to get to the truth behind these ongoing encounters, he enlisted journalist and ardent skeptic Chad Christy in an effort to film their investigation, hoping to unravel the mysterious events unfolding in the Shanango Valley. As they spoke with witnesses and experts, a pattern emerged that might help establish what is behind ongoing sightings of werewolves in America's Heartland.

More dogman and werewolves, please. There's soooo much about Bigfoot. It's almost oversaturated. Theres not near as much content on this subject though. I'm completely fascinated by dogman/werewolves. And many other people are too.
At any rate, whether on Bigfoot or Dogman, Small Town Monsters makes the best content on cryptids. So happy I found this channel.

I’m seeing a lot of negative comments being thrown at the Kings and they deserve better than that. I used to be Facebook friends with Jami before I left the site a few years ago. In my opinion he’s one of the kindest, most humble and genuine people in the paranormal/cryptid community there is. We need more people like him and Jenny.

At least in this video, their self report comes across as them very lost spiritually, very naive and childlike even. I desire no harm to come to them, but they are very mistaken if they believe incense and candles are going to protect them from the demonic things they are poking into, including their using Dr Greer's methods to conjure demons (UFOs). I pray they drop the witchraft and find their relationship with the Lord; I pray the blood of Jesus keep them safe. It is very kind of you to speak well of them and honorable of you to bear true witness of them. God bless you, and them, as well.

I was happy that Seth recruits great film makers to join his production team. When Jenny and I agreed to do this we had no idea how the final product would look and I’ll say I’m happy with how we were represented. I read most of the comments and it’s difficult to read some of what was written only because it’s geared at being hurtful personally. I can and will say this for the record. Our retelling of our encounter with what we believe to be Sasquatch is 100% true for us and even I don’t understand how a prayer could have the meaning it did to me and have synchronicity involved with my dads passing but it did and that’s where my( Our) journey took a different direction. After years of analyzing all of this it’s our conclusion a lot of this is truly all related in the field of the unknown. Thank you Seth, Heather and Ward’s Dark Holler team for being so kind to invite us into their Small Town Monster legacy of films. Our authenticity is knowing our own truth and speaking about it for others, so take away from this what you will at your level of understanding. Oh and I’ve known my wife since we were 10 years old, so keep drinking lol. 😂 keep making films Seth and crew

Jami, thanks for being in the film, you and Jenny are incredibly genuine, kindhearted people. Most of the comments toward you guys, I think, comes from a presupposed a priori materialism, and neither of our different perspectives is going to align much with folks that are unwilling to entertain anything outside that, and that is 100% ok! You guys were great, and what Seth said :)

For me, the topic of Dogman/Werewolf will always remain the number 1 topic. I'm glad that there are people who see it as important as I do. It's a shame that many people are so afraid to talk about it, because it doesn't fit into their worldview. I think Bigfoot is just no longer as abnormal as it once was, it's a topic that society accepts. There is something different about Werewolves, which is always dismissed as fantasy. But we have to face the fact, that there are things out there that we cannot explain. I can only encourage you to do more on the topic of werewolves and Dogman. I would be very happy about it. Thanks to everyone who agreed to talk about what they saw. One day we will get the answers to all our questions, even if it will take a while.

I walked by myself across the bridge you saw right before Livermore Tunnel in this video, (at 48:00). This was way back in the early 1970s. The bridge wasn't cleaned up then and it had no railing like you saw in the video. Large saplings grew up on either side of the bridge, anchored into the bridge itself somehow. Maybe the high water level from the lake, which was just about two or three feet below the bridge level at the time, ( not like you see in the video), had something to do with that. Grass was growing on the bridge in large patches, spreading out from the cracks in the concrete. What was creepy to the extreme, though, were the deer heads. There were deer heads, very cleanly severed from the deer's bodies, laying at different, random angles on the bridge surface. About every fifty feet there was another deer head. There were many heads. I didn't count them but there were at least half a dozen. There might have been more. The environment was suddenly feeling extremely isolated and very eerie and the hairs were rising on my spine and I got out of there. I don't know what would have been behind those deer heads.

I've seen and loved all of Seth's previous dogman documentaries, and I gave this one a like because I'm always happy to see more dogman content and am just about a true believer in the thing myself at this point, but Werewolves Unearthed did kinda feel like it was just pieced together with leftover footage that wasn't convincing enough to make it into American Werewolves. Half the witnesses were just babbling new agey psychic mumbo jumbo that would make most folks roll their eyes, and I don't think there was anything in this documentary that would have opened the mind of a skeptic to the possibility of dogman's existence. I'll still always recommend American Werewolves and The Bray Road Beast to anyone with even a passing interest in dogman though! =)

The 50 year old couple who have known each other since 10 years old, well they sounded like young children and they seemed all over the place, and very lost, spiritually. I feel great fear for them, as they seem to be poking all willy nilly into some very dark things, including witchcraft, but like children they have no idea what dangers they are looking into and stirring up. I pray they find the Lord. Incense and candles can do nothing for them, nor protect them. They need the blood and command of Jesus. I am very scared for them using Dr Greer's methods to call these "aliens" (demons); they are so naive. I pray their childlike poking around into these demonic forces that include "aliens," Dogman, and Sasquatch will yield them nothing until at which time they learn the authority and love of the Lord. God bless them and keep these children safe.

I'd be curious to find out who put the "Wolfsbane"/Monkshood flowers on top of some of the graves and why. Did they think the people buried there were Werewolves? Monkshood has no basis in folklore anywhere but in Universal's "Wolf Man" movies', however it was the plant used to make poison to kill wolves in the nineteenth century, hence the nickname "Wolfsbane. The scriptwriter cleverly put it together. for the story. Great video as usual from this company. :)

What a great docu. Honestly it was so interesting to watch and hear peoples stories, that stories about the guy going into the ladies magic store was bizarre, imagine that he actually said he is a werewolf 😮 I am floored! And then talking about the other spectrum of people who are involved in cults and saying they are werewolves too, and doing stuff to people in the woods, she said...all pretty scary. Loved that we could hear the audio when they were in the cemetery near the end, no overcast of unnecessary music, was done so professionally. Can't wait for the next instalment!! That whole team right there are top!!😊 😊

Werewolves are real, and I do not care who believes in them or not. I'm an old woman now, ( 60s), and I know what my daughter and I saw one night. I spoke to Linda Godfrey who was the reporter who wrote The Beast of Brey Road, and she confirmed that there were more and more sightings and incounters further north than where she was, and even told me someone to contact up here. Also, Josh Gates from Destination X did a show here in Wisconsin on this and found a few interesting things. I am not the only one who has seen, things, along this line around here. People do not like to talk to just anyone about them. Most, do not believe in them. I grew up in the country, and I know bears, wolverines, wolves, and the like. What we saw that night, was a werewolf.

Some really excellent witness stories, especially the lady that owned the new age shop and the couple that had encounters. Sometimes it wandered too much away from its subject for me such as the ghost hunt in the cemetery.
I decided to watch it again today back to back with American werewolves. On balance American Werewolves is the better documentary, focused on the subject in hand and allowing witnesses to tell their stories with no opinion one way or the other.
Nonetheless the spiritual angle was interesting to think about.
Small Town Monsters are the better documentary film makers for me.

After watching several hours of dogman and bigfoot encounter videos over the last couple days, I can't count on both hands the number of times people have referenced the movies "Harry and the Hendersons" and "Van Helsing." And the first time someone referenced Van Helsing they weren't even talking about the werewolf, they said the bigfoot looked like Hyde, lol. This isn't a credibility issue or anything, I believe them, it's just funny that those are the go-to movies in people's minds.

I witnessed a werewolf under the Bay Bridge in San Fran in 1996-97.
Living in NYC, you’ve seen almost everything. I thought it was a tall homeless dude from the back.
As we turned the car around and the beams hit him, he turned at us with huge fangs and this crazy look.
We screamed and peeled out of there as it just stood there. I had no idea what the heck we witnessed.
Didn’t say anything about it to anyone fearing they’d think we were crazy.
Now I know that yes Werewolves and Dogmen do exist.
I never questioned the existence of Sasquatch, I just knew they were real due to hearing one scream as a child.
