Fire the one who made this horrible rankings
BTS Mic drop, Kesha Blow, Benny Benassi Satisfaction, Katy Perry Bon Appetit, Prodigy Smack my Bitch Up and Nelly Furtado maneater should be on this
Dancing Queen
You forgot the Ding Dong Song…
How can you not include Never Gonna Give You Up? With how many people have gotten rick rolled there's a lot of flak for those of us who love the song regardless (and it's a fun one to sing at karaoke).
I refuse to feel guilt over something that brings me joy. If I enjoy a song, I will listen to it with zero shame. I still listen to BSB and Aqua and Haddaway on a regular basis, if only because it brings back memories of happier, simpler times.
Couldn't have said it better, totally agree
Agreed
Agreed. I used to feel embarrassed to listen to some song loudly at a stop light, but now I just don't care.
I listen to video game music like Silent hill or Zelda when i got to sleep.
Best comment 💯 I listen to a band that literally writes songs about famous serial killers n very well known true crime cases and im sure most people would look at me like im nuts, but their music really is amazing
"Take on me" should not be on this list. No one should feel guilty for loving this awesome song!
Romantic 😍
I have the 12 inch single of Take On Me. One of the dreamy pop songs to come out of the 80s!
Sorry, never cared for the song nor the video, but the world be mighty boring if everyone had the same tastes.
Yeah, no way a “guilty pleasure.” No way.
Same with A Thousand Miles. Songs an absolute banger and no one should feel guilty for loving it.
No such thing as a guilty pleasure song. If you feel guilty for liking music, you're doing it wrong.
Agreed, I'm not ashamed for loving any of these hits!
When I was younger i would omit songs from my tapes/CD mixes. After my 20s i stopped caring and blast barbie girl on the car speakers
Nah, man. Sometimes you know the song is trash but you still know it. I’m sorry I’m all for the love of music. But it’s not all made the same.
Yep I love the Hamsterdance and I'm not apologizing
@@sotballs28 music, like every other form of art, is subjective. What's trash for you, maybe gold for someone else.
"Too Sexy," "Take on Me," "Funky Town," "All Star," and "Barbie Girl" have to be some of the most awesome songs ever.
Listen to The Magicians "Take On Me". That's all imma say
Starship’s Nothings Going To Stop Us.
A Thousand Miles is not a guilty pleasure, it is a piece of music history
The funny thing is that Vanessa Carlton hates that song because it’s the only song people know her for
@@jasonparrish1808 She's not alone. Plenty of good artists hate being reduced to their best known song…
Which TRUELY IS a terribly embarrassing thing for a lot of artists 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
I like Terry cruises version better
Deee-Lite's "Groove is in the Heart" was #21, I can only assume. Slide whistle pop masterpiece!
I love that song. It’s one of my favorites.
Groove is in the Heart is a classic!
I wouldn't ask for another
"What is love" is my favorite dance club hit, and i am NOT ashamed in the least. It's simply a pleasure
Same! It’s such a good song, as is “Rhythm is a Dancer” and “Mr. Vain”.
The video for Take On Me will always be one of my all time favorite music videos. It looked incredible for its time and it even holds up very well against a lot of todays shitty CGI
Guilty pleasures don't exist.
You enjoy something, that's all that matters. Don't feel guilty about it :)
Unless you like Disney Star Wars then you should feel bad
For me, it depends.
Unless you like the song "Friday" 🤐
@@ShadyRK9 depends on which Friday.
The Rebecca Black one? No thanks
The Mufasa one? Fuck yas!
@@Mr.Goldbar yes! the Rebecca Black one unfortunately! 👎
No “YMCA”? No “Who Let the Dogs Out”? Amazing.
As a 53 year old male I like "Let it go" (from Frozen). A guilty pleasure? It used to be my daughter´s favorite song. And believe me, I´ve heard this song more than a several times.
Jermaine Stewart's " We don't have to take our clothes off" is another catchy song of the 80's that could easily be a guilty pleasure song.
This song blew my mind after I got older and watched the video realizing it was a guy singing 🤯🤯
@@QueenNemesis327 Same... then it got blown again (no pun intended) when I realized Jermaine was gay.
This is one of my favorite songs!
“How You Remind Me” and “Hero” by Nickelback are my jams!! They’re so pensive and solemn.
My only issue with the song "Hero" is that it's not long enough. I do like it but feel it should have been a 4min or more song. I find it's just missing a bit. I know I sound weird but there are songs that I feel would be better if they were just a bit longer.
I have been a Nickelback fan for quite a while now. The first concert that I went to after I got home from Iraq was 3 Days Grace, Nickelback, and 3 Doors Down. Amazing show! I really don't understand where all of the hate for Nickelback came from...
Also Something in Your Mouth. Also Figured You Out.
@@TheCasey5401 I'm still trying to figure that out myself. I always liked Nickleback.
Never Going To Be Alone has been mine since my dad died.
“Blue (Da Ba Dee)” is still one of my 230+ most favorite songs of all time.
😁
I feel robbed over the fact that the greatest guilty pleasure song is not "Never gonna give you up".
People complain, but they secretly love it.
bc no one likes to be Rick rolled 😂😂
Rick needed a spot on that list
Nooooooo
@@ELmayberry I like to be rickrolled. I love that song.
I never get tired of getting Rickrolled
Yes, knew that without a doubt that "Barbie Girl" would rank near the top. I'm unashamed to admit that I still know all of the lyrics, and sing along every time I hear it!
The only other song I know from Aqua is “Roses are Red”.
i can't even _understand_ half the lyrics
Same confession. Cheers!
Me too I still love this song even though I am in my 30s
@@callamastia be glad you don't😂. But I like the song
I unashamedly like several of Nickelback’s songs. And Every Time we Touch brings me back to my day camp days as a kid. 0 shame. I freakimg love We Built this City! It makes me think of sunny care free summer days and it’s just so fun!
"I Want It That Way" was the choir anthem of my graduating high school class because one of the choir groups sang it in my freshman year as a throwback hit. As a result whenever any of us started singing it, the rest of us would burst into song. It's such a fun inside memory moment for me so thank you for talking about that song and reminding me of that happy part of high school. 😀
One of the last great pop songs. It's the only Backstreet Boys song that I like, though.
Pat Benatar - Love Is A Battlefield is one of the best songs ever. I used to think it was a guilty pleasure kind of tune but I can listen to that song without any guilt and I will turn on my subwoofer to max and play this right when I wake up in the morning.
I forgot to add Pat Benatar - We Belong. So amazing
Virtually everything Pat Benatar did was great stuff, in its own right..nothing wrong with that.
"Evacuate The Dancefloor" from Cascada should be on this list 😁
“Sexy And I Know It”, one of my few most favorite LMFAO. 🙂
The Spice Girls were the epitome of Girl Power in the 90's, yes, they were cheesy, but they wholeheartedly embraced it!
I remember when they cane out, I was about six years old and I told my mom I wanted to be Baby spice. 😂
It.was.a.marketing.scheme....and what exactly did they "embrace"...they did some great tunes that they mostly didn't write.....
During senior week at my college we had a trivia night in the Freshman quad one night and somehow Wannabe made it’s way into one of the questions. Needless to say the game devolved into an impromptu 90s dance party.
Amen to that!
@@madelinegarber7860 I feel you there, because one night, I was bored at home, so just for the fun of it, I decided to play Wannabe and record myself lip syncing to it in my best Sporty Spice getup, and not ashamed to say that I knew every single word by heart
When I was 15 I did a modelling course during my school holidays, and "Funky Town" was the go-to song for walking the runway.
Backstreet boys are never a guilty pleasure! They played I want it that way at theor concert in Phoenix this month and I can assure you, myself and the crowd went wild.
This list is not enough you can go on even for 50-100 songs
Take on me is a great song. Brings back a lot of memories. Hearing the slow version brings a total set of emotions. How that song can "take me on...." into 2 different directions simply by how it's played is so underrated.
I remember doing "I Want It That Way" at my school's lipsync and getting a standing ovation… but lost out to a group doing All-Star by Smashmouth. I was hella robbed.
Are you from Northern Californa or Oregon...Just wondering.
@@chipsdad5861 Wrong coast. I'm from North Carolina.
@@ZootLives I knew a girl that used that word Hella. Looked it up and it is primarily associated with Northern California. I took a stab in the dark. Thanks for the response.
@@chipsdad5861 I think it originated there, but I first heard it on South Park and years later by way of the No Doubt song "Hella Good".
It’s definitely used quite regularly nationally now, but it did originate in the Bay Area.
Omgosh, how can you leave out Dancing Queen? It was one of my parent’s favorites so I grew up listening to ABBA and passed that onto my kids, now in high school…all 3 generations singing along!
I would recommend A-ha's album "East of the Sun, West of the Moon". It's great. I bought for 99 cents back in the 1990s and it's been one of my all-time favorite albums since then. It DOESN'T contain the song "Take on Me" but I picked up this album because I liked that song and thought..."hey, it's 99 cents so if I don't like it it's no big deal".
I am 30 and I still listen to most of this songs especially 70's 80's and more music....I love my music🤘
We are not only listening to Guilty Pleasure songs. We are listening to Legendary Songs that Will be listening forever.
I went through high school listening to 70s rock, a huge love for Metallica and GnR, became a fan of grunge, then NU Metal when I went to college...then discovering some obscure Scandinavian bands that would make you praise Satan.
...and yet. Whenever "I Want it That Way" plays, there is this overwhelming urge to sing along. Especially when I am alone driving.
I would say that when it comes to guilty, Oingo Boingo's "Little Girls" would be pretty high up there. Even knowing the context behind it, it still makes you feel bad for bopping your head to it.
One of my guilty pleasure songs is 'Jump In The Line' by Harry Belafonte. Too catchy!
My guilty pleasure song is "I'm Gonna Be" by the Proclaimers. I can't believe it didn't make this list.
love I'm Gonna Be!
It's called 500 miles
I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) I looked it up.
I listen to all these songs and I'm not a shamed of it, and HOW IS "WHAT IS LOVE" A GUILTY PLEASURE SONG, ITS SOOO GOOD🥳🥳💜💜
Every time I hear What is Love,
I bop my head to the left.
Yo, wtf, I'm a foreigner, I didn't know people in America consider those songs being "guilty pleasure". I love all of them 🤠🤠🤠
Martha Wash from The Weather Girls also sung Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now) for C+C Music Factory. She wasn't credited in it for not being model attractive, which sparked a landmark suit that has protected singers' copyright for decades.
Backstreet Boys have a lot of bangers
Hanson, MMMBop for me. 100% my number 1 guilty pleasure song
Yesssss!! 💯
I don't understand where people crapping on Nickelback and Creed came from. They both have top tier songs in their catalogue
I’m proud to say I never hated Nickelback or Creed, but they were those “they’re ok, but what else is on the radio” bands other than “If Today Was Your Last Day” and “Six Feet From The Edge” which I listened to a few times back in the day.
I will say that I do enjoy Nickelback, but having dealt with Scott Stapp at a restaurant I used to work at, and his unrelenting douchiness, I stopped enjoying Creed
You're not very bright. You probably drive a raised Chevy S-10 and think Taco Bell is exotic food.
“Barbie Girl” and “I’m Too Sexy” are two of the funniest songs ever made.
For me would also include Stacy’s mom has it goin on
'witchdoctor' from the cartoons would also be a very funny guilty pleasure.
Name a more recognizable lick?
Smoke on the Water-Deep Purple
Aqualung-Jethro Tull
Beat It-Michael Jackson
Sweet Home Alabama-Lynyrd
Skynyrd
These are just for starters!
I'm feeling no guilt for enjoying any of these pleasures!
I have all these songs on my Playlist im not ashamed I rock them out blasting all the time
I like this list (and as reference) and there was a time I was listening to Aqua's other songs like Dr. Jones on repeat.
I love “Ricky” by “Weird Al” Yankovic!
One of my guilty pleasure songs is “Tarzan and Jane” by Toy-Box!😊😊😊😊😊
Guilty pleasures? More like amazing party playlist haha
Singers or their songs I've never heard of; The Weather Girls, Cascada, Carly Rae Jepsen, One Direction, and Aqua. But all the rest on the list, I don't fell an ounce of guilt over and also as an add, George Michael's Faith.
Call Me Maybe will get my 30 year old ass jumping, dancing, & singing 😂
Ah funkytown, a fantastic song that was played in the background of the most infamous gore video ever. For those who are curious about what I’m talking about, the video is a cartel execution and they played funkytown in the background, which gave the video the name. For your own sanity please don’t google it. If you did look it up, don’t say I didn’t warn you.
Take on me isn't a guilty pleasure song. It's one of the greatest songs of all time
I love most of these songs and I don't feel a second of guilt about it
Give me one reason- Tracy Chapman
Chattahoochee- Alan Jackson
I saw the sign
What's Love got to do with it- Tina Turner
Larger than Life- backstreet boys
Sexy back-Justin Timberlake
Carry on (My wayward son)-
Kansas
Walk the Dinosaur-was (was not)
Want to be starting something- Michael Jackson
The beer song
When doves cry-Prince
Let's Dance- David Bowie
Poker face-Lady Gaga
Push it- salt and peppa
Blow- Kesha
East end boys West end girls-pet shop boys
Hungry like the Wolf-Duran Duran
And my list go on...
Take on me? NOT! I'm proud about loving that Song. 💗
Take on me is the single greatest song of the 80's and I won't hear otherwise.
Nope.
Safety Dance
Best song of the 80s is Rosanna by Toto, my favorite song from the 80s is Pictures of You by The Cure.
They played A Thousand Miles at my prom ❤️
Take on me is not a guiltily pleasure, it’s a classic.
A lot of these are classics but Everytime we time isn’t a guilty pleasure of mine. In fact, I find it as a bop and one of my favorite songs of all time (All other Cascada songs are either underrated or used in amvs)
Ah, Cascada. Just thinking about her music takes me back to my high school days; going to the mall and walking into the Charlotte russe.😂
There is no shame in my game. I grew up on 80s hair bands, and took my daughter and her early teen friend to Nashville to see One Direction live. I must’ve been the only male there over the age of 25 but dads do things for their daughters. It was a good show and she had a memorable night. Cool parent status attained.
I once used Haddaway’s lyrics in a wedding sermon
I’ve liked Nickelback since I was a kid, for reference I’m 25. I’ve never denied liking them. They got so many bangers
I’m surprised that Never Gonna Give You Up isn’t on this list.
I never really understood all the hate that band got...I mean why? They make good music
I've liked Nickelback since my second or third childhood, my 2 eldest grandsons do, too. For reference, my 2 eldest grandsons are 34 & 32.
Feel like i am the only person who never said they didnt like nickleback. Ive always said i liked them and still like them
Awesome in concert!!!!
I never said it either. Never understood the hate Chad and the boys got.
Damn, I wish I could've gone clubbing in the late 90s/early 00s
for some reason i thought “blurred lines” would be on this list we all hated it but somehow it was #1 for months
“What Is Love”, I love that song!
I have Calling You by Aqua as my ring tone and I'm sooooo proud of it.
DARN! I MISSED THE PREMIERE BY ABOUT A HALF HOUR!!! PHOOEY!!! THIS IS AWESOME! THE GRAPHICS AND VIDEO PERFECT, JUST LIKE THE MUSIC!!! LOVE, ❤, LOVE IT!!!!
Cher's song Believe is one of my guilty pleasures. It brings back memories of driving around Florida, and that Christmas Town place where they've got the soap foam snow that floats down.
I love that song! I love Cascada. I don’t find it as “a guilty pleasure song”. It’s my childhood favorite
I love all of them 💖
I danced around my house all morning listening to all of them. What a great beginning to a new day
Love ya WatchMojo 😘👍🏾
“COME ON BARBIE LETS GO PARTY”
So glad “Rollin” made this list! Ahhh that’s a fave!!!
This is a banger of a list, every one of these songs are amazing!
This song might be too niche, but Crucified by Army of Lovers is a huge guilty pleasure song for me in the last 30 years. Awesome video too.
Yes one of the many songs that made it to my playlist thanks to seeing it on Beavis & Butthead 😜
The criterion for this list is probably the most nebulous I've ever seen from your channel. Can't really disagree with any choices you made but how about "Obsession" - Animotion. Probably one of the best one hit wonders.
When I heard "I'm blue (Da ba dee)" on Iron Man 3, I had to bop my head along. But then, I looked it up. 😂
They are just puttin perfect songs as guilty pleasures...
My favorites guilty pleasure is Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Japsen and What's Makes You Beautiful by One Direction !❤️ Those songs gets me hyped off!🤩
More of these types of lists Mojo❤✊
Len - Steal My Sunshine
Wilson Phillips - Hold On
Icona Pop - I Love It
Busted - Air Hostess
Andrea True Connection - More, More, More
This list made me so happy. Though I thought Don’t Stop Believin might be top. Though that song has far surpassed guilty pleasure status. Or maybe Remember by Earth Wind and Fire. So iconic.
Even though "I Want It That Way" makes no sense, it is so DAMN good!
Tell me why
Absolute classics the lot of them!
I rock out to this whole list in the Elco ( El Camino ) nickleback will never die
The Offspring - Pretty Fly (For A White Guy) is one of my guilty pleasure songs until now.
What is Love is my favourite song of all time! Its not really a guilty pleasure in my opinion. Everything about the song is perfection. I also love I'm Blue (Da Ba De) that song is one of the most entertaining songs to ever be released. The melody in that song has me listening to this song on repeat. You put out a great list Watch Mojo. Your channel is awesome.
When it comes to nickelback my favorite song is hero from the movie Spiderman with the best words of wisdom with great power comes great responsibility my favorite quote and my favorite song by any other bands is away from the sun let me be myself let me go changes bully by 3 days grace my immortal by evanescence and now hello by her too because I need to cry out sadness im dealing with after too many people I cared about died and just so you know my earworm is cross-play etc that is either sad or full of anger and depression because of the pain I dealt with my entire life since my foster mom Debbie told me that she never wanted me as a daughter. Crossfade the song cold and my immortal hello by evanescence and Adele and other people I love too with the music I listened to especially metallica and led zeppelin. My guilty pleasure music that I love is funny and cute by weird al and my favorite cockroaches song in Spanish too and English that is funny and cute and the dirty towel song with cockroaches too
I have 9 of these songs in my library and I'm not ashamed to admit that.
I think the reason why I love Every Time We Touch is because my gym teacher played it when we did running activities in elementary school.
It was also overused in AMVs and shipping videos
is your gym teacher a pedophile?
I loved this song because my dad showed me the video when I was younger and I thought the song was catchy. It was also a few of the amvs I watched
“Call Me Maybe”, one of the best songs in 2010s and also one of my most favorite songs.
Crazy fun video!! ❤
Yes the Vanessa Carlton song plays I must do the scene how terry crews did it in white chicks. Everyone has to think that scene when we hear her song
Dancing Queen should have been on the list
My guiltiest pleasure of all time is the whole soundtrack of A Night at The Roxbury... Love both the movie and the music ❤️
Ha the blue song was my absolute favorite songs back in the day haha, my buddy always thought the lyrics were "I'm blue and of need of a guy"hahahhahahah
Love this video!
