Here's a big problem. Lets assume everyone dies and becomes a zombie except for you, your family, and about 15 other people that you saved prior to everyone becoming a zombie. Even assuming you could successfully repopulate the world and have a self sustaining farm and food and water, there's nobody to maintain the nuclear power plants all across the world. Everywhere across the world the power plants would melt down and most pockets of the word would be a wasteland
I think nuclear power plants would go off as it started. It’s so much work to deal with them and if they need all their resources focused to stop the zombies the power plants would be down. But it depends
I'd plug my headphones into my phone click on king 810 and run around with my spear/clamor and end it by riding a nuke though the clouds and splashing down on all the unlucky cuts down below
I remember watching some zombie movie where the zombies ate brains because they were constantly in pain, but eating brains numbed it for a while. My ideal zombie situation is a cabin in the woods with two entrances. One is on a front porch, and the only way up is a steep set of stairs, and the other is on the back porch with a locked trapdoor and a ladder down. Honestly I can't imagine they're too coordinated, so getting up stairs would he difficult for them, and if I had outward opening doors they would have a much harder time pushing them in. Then just put wooden door bars on the back and you've got a pretty secure little shack
Without my family: Take my boat out to one of the islands along the Chesapeak Bay area, establish my new home an island there, and go to the mainland for supplies in weekly intervals. After I establish a good basis of survival I'd probably start getting drunk to numb the pain of losing the world I once knew, catch up on my reading, farm and stockpile food, constantly build onto my boat, finish learning my languages; all while hunting down the undead (and immoral assholes) because without my family I am a rage-filled wreck of a boy. With my family: Pretty much the first minus the self-loathing, drinking, and and suicidal belligerance.

Even though this video is a year old I figured I'd give my thoughts on why zombies eat brains, since Tony asked in the video. I have always seen zombies as the "Resident Evil" style zombos, so they're virus based and because of that, like viruses the zombies crave healthy living cells so that the virus can multiply just like how a normal virus does, it attacks healthy cells and slowly deteriorates therefore it aggressively grows, and attacks affecting more and more cells if left untreated, so it's not really brains they crave, but life itself
Crossbows would be extremely good and they do knot shoot arrows they shoot bolts guns jam are very loud so that will attract more they run out of bullets which you cannot reuse and it's good you can't rapid fire so you are much more likely to get a headshot
The boat idea is not a terrible idea. But I'd probably pack a enough food to survive for a while, find an island (not too far from a shore, but not too close either) and start a farm. At first you'd need to scavenge for food, but once your farm starts producing enough food, you could just start living on the island forever and basically be safe (except from other people or if the zombies start learning to swim).

I'd barricade my home, take over the local auto repair shop and build a reinforced truck so I could go and scavenge food, supplies, tools, generators/solar panels and batteries and of course weapons to keep reinforcing my home... Then I'd go to the bus depot a mile away for a touring bus I could stock w/ supplies and stuff so I had a backup escape plan. I have a bunch of good stores in my area so I could get military surplus and MREs and stuff, plus a family member is kind of a prepper and has a shitload of guns.... Plus I think it would be fun to find a high spot and just snipe zombies all day. LoL
