Thanks for these videos Brent! I am going to school to be a Naprapath in Santa Fe, NM. It is really helpful to see how to do this! You are a good teacher!
You have such a soothing and comforting voice, that I wish to be talked to sleep by you every night. Feel my anxiety already vanish when I listen to your voice......
thank you so much for sharing the video tutorial, i did it for my dad who had a stroke, like his neck was stiff, like anyway much better, can i ask how to get blood to the brain?

Is this treatment available to patients in Northern California? Can this treatment be used for large-size adhesions? Is this treatment okay for level six spinal fusion? Thank you..I’m hoping I found my treatment for chronic pain!
I learned a lot, thank you. I don't always break petechiae. Though I do feel like the fascia breaks up and I get more movement, and then I usually get those trigger points with trigger point therapy!
Hi Elena, It takes a few weeks of doing the strengthening exercises and going to your appointments before you start feeling relief and seeing results. It is not like getting a relaxing massage. It will hurt as they work on the injured area. You may want to give it another try if not just to learn the strengthening and stretching exercises and continue on your own. It will be worth it! I hope you feel better soon. C.H.
@@peace-n-happiness They said they did not feel any relief from that particular PT's usage of the tool. How do you go to saying that they might feel hurt from them getting the injured area worked on? If they said they were sore after their medical session that would make sense to say that. The person was seeking deeper work to be done to provide pain relief. Seems to me they need a skilled massage therapist that does deep tissue and myofascial work, very well. 😁
When you’re doing that trigger point pin technique are you pinning the trigger point then doing the stretch or are you pinning next to it and almost pushing it out as the patient goes into that ROM

Hello sir, I recommend you look into Anatomy Trains by Thomas Myers. That book will teach you all about fascia and has all the fascia connections. Hope this helps!

Great info and video Brent, how many times per week and area can we apply IASTM ? Also if someone has headaches that are caused by muscle tension. Can we apply IASTM when a person is in pain ? Thank you
Its basically gua sha /coining wrapped up to be medical. In my honest opinion, the evidence is just not here to merit it's use in any treatment besides topical pain relief.
It’s one of the most effective soft tissue manipulations. Try to find someone to do this work on you and be amazed. I’ve had work done on my severely over used arms and was completely blown away by how much more ease of movement and lack of tension I had afterwards. This is the real deal.
Talk too too much. Simple work makes big thing. More or less shows on the street to sell things I knew much of it since I was a little child. Unnecessary talk.
I spend more time watching these kinds videos than i spend studying
Had this done today for first time and I feel so good after wards

Glad you like them!
I won’t lie, I learned nothing from this video. HOWEVER, it did make a wonderful ASMR video and I got a good nights sleep out of it, so win win 🤷🏽♀️
😆😆😆
Thanks for saving my time! Now next to another video!
😂😂😂 same here! He talks to much!!!!!😅

Very nice video and I was very happy to hear your thoughts in bruising. I agree and also apply that to cupping and use motion or short durations.

I do this to my hands, forearms, and SCM (muscle of the neck). It feels amazing, melts everything like butter.

very well explained, easy to understand each step and even visualize
Thank you.

Any risk from doing this?
It can be helpful over clothes also. 😊
Can a Swedish massage be given before, and in between using these tools?
I think it's fine.
What cream do you recommend using? I've seen a lot of different kinds being used
He said they use Smart Tools cream
Very detailed and clear, thanks!
You're very welcome
What emollient/lubricant/lotion do you prefer using with IASTM?
What should I use to do this
The fascia youre talking about? Do you have a book for this anatomy?

I think Gua Sha is for skin cleaning right? IASTM is mostly for small tissue.

You talk a lot, but the camera is so far I can't really see your technique
The last half of the video shows zoomed in techniques... well done, thanks!
