    Please tell me this will help me with hip pain for which the only thing I was provided was pain medicine and told to get physical therapy I fell in a forest and landed on my hip I mean I fell hard no broken bones no torn ligaments but a lot of pain difficult to walk they said there was no surgery did you do only physical therapy and I said if I thought that would work I think I would have done it before now cuz it's been over a month I said every time I hit moves it hurts so I said I wasn't going to do that and went to a different physical therapy place in same building and talk to them about graston and they seem to think it might help me because of the type of injury I had I've also had back surgeries in the past that didn't work all the way either so I'm hoping that will help with this I have tight muscles in my lower back and butt all in my hip and leg it's not sciatica and I'm at my wit's end

      I avoid latex, because they can cause allergies in some people. Nitrile is the way to go for tissue work imo

    Thank you so much for sharing, but curious why no Rockblades in the review? Especially as I do see Rocktape product in the background?...

    Don't order any. It's been 2 months and I have not gotten mine yet and I emailed and phone called them. Getting excuses and false promises. They won't even refund you

    I was lucky enough to get the whole target point set with the wall mount for $120. Great set. I'd check out TML tools on ebay. $79 for most tools and they work excellent. I have a question too. I'm in my last year of OT grad school and considering PT grad school bc I like manual therapy and would rather treat the whole body than just the shoulder, arm and hand. As an ATC what is the difference in your scope of practice vs PT/OT? I see you do alot of the same joint mobs/manipulations that I do.

    Myometal has decent prices, I'm not a therapist by the way, but I do know other brands are way over priced, an exaggeration, it's fucken piece of metal!

    • @themovementunderground2464
      @themovementunderground2464  7 років тому +1

      eDDymOnStRo quality stainless is expensive to work with. The "big brands" were first to the market and have lots of employees, training courses, and a larger, more influential business, which I guess means bigger prices.

    $299,- for one little piece of metal? are they serious?

    • @themovementunderground2464
      @themovementunderground2464  7 років тому +1

      Kumamon Kumamoto stainless steel is hard to manufacture. Especially medical grade steel. I paid over $7000 for my certification and graston tools.... 😳 most things that are "medical" specific will often see a big mark up. These are very cost effective for the quality of instruments.

    great job on the videos, check out hawk grips as an alternative to graston tools. they are a bit cheaper and you can purchase them individually if needed, plus they have a nice grip pattern and texture.

      I do like the Hawk Grips!! (They declined working with me for this video...Which I understand as they are already commercially successful.) I do find them to be quite expensive also, but definitely a quality tool set. Thanks for sharing and commenting!!!!

      thats a bummer the owner is a very nice guy, they offer many discounts if you contact him direct rather then going through vendors.

    I’ll stick with my Guasha tools. These look like torture devices and I don’t see that they do anything different. I like combining massage and Guasha together, I also won’t be touching my clients with rubber gloves EVER.

    • @themovementunderground2464
      @themovementunderground2464  6 років тому +2

      White Flower Bodywork you are entitled to your own opinion and style as am I. As for the tools, the main difference is Friction. Ox horn and stone gua sha tools have a much higher friction coefficient. Meaning less treatment time before skin reaches its threshold. Just because these tools are metal, doesn’t mean you are supposed to crush people with them. I get rear results with light pressure using these tools.
      Different strokes for different folks. Thanks for watching!

    • @WinterDragon76
      @WinterDragon76 6 років тому

      They simply look huge and difficult to hold onto while my hands would be covered in oil. I dont need such huge metal devices in my small female hands. Also, no need to be so combative with a fellow colleague. I simply said I didnt like the look of these tools and that I wont use rubber gloves. none of what I said should offend a self assured therapist. Many Blessings!

      @themovementunderground2464  6 років тому +2

      I took no offense at all! Simply wanted to share my perspective. You are certainly not wrong for doing what you do, nor am I! The best part is we are both right!!! I just wanted to clear up any misconceptions when it comes to using metal tools vs traditional tools of other materials... Part of the reason I wear the gloves is it helps me grip the tools without slipping... For my fascial work, the gloves also give me better grip so I can create fascial mobility easier. Just my personal preference... plus I work with an athletic population...some sessions occur after training which means sweaty athletes....so gloves help with the gross factor also! LOLOL

      There is always a possibility! HAHA. Im a big fan of Rocktape brand, and their training courses. Im sure the RockBlades are great, but I didnt have a need to purchase them for this video, and I wanted to give some of the smaller brands their fair share of the attention they deserve.

    This is the way Physical Therapists avoid using their hands and fingers which will always be superior than these ridiculous tools.
