Thank you Dr Russ! I am a new RMT and I get a lot out of watching your videos. It gives me great ideas for assessment and treatment, as well as excellent insight into how to treat my clients. I much appreciate your knowledge, candor and control of your craft. Thank you!
I recently discovered your videos and love them! You are so thorough with your treatments, yet gentle. I am looking for a chiropractor near me and would love to find someone with your level of expertise and a similar technique--is there a certain term for your style of adjusting and treatments that I should ask for when I'm looking for someone? Just watching your videos is so relaxing and educational, I always learn something interesting.
Wow was is this fantastic Dr located? I NEED some appointments and happy to fly in for them. After 2 yrs of breast cancer treatments, im in serious need for facial release!
@DrRussInYourPocket fantastic because I'm in Ashland so coming on up is not too difficult. Do you happen to take OHP? I know it's a long shot but been off work 2 yrs battling cancer so im having to start over financially. How booked out are you?
Lisa, I don't take OHP, or rather OHP will not pay for my services as I am out of network. My many attempts to navigate the paperwork to join were futile. I am sorry you are having to start over financially after your illness. It's one of the many ways our society fails to meet the challenges. In any event, I have programs in place to help folks get the care they need. Please check out happyspinepdx.com/access, and thank you!
@DrRussInYourPocket iam fine with it being filmed as I've been pretty open with having a double mastectomy and all that comes with it. I feel it's important for newly diagnosed women to understand what may happen to them. Scars and all....im still here for the luxury of TIME and that's nothing to hide!
This is EXACTLY what I've been dealing with for years. I just realized over the last month how to release most of the tightness, by targeting most of what Dr. Russ is doing. However, its difficult to perfom it on myself. I can't reach all of the areas. My main problem is that it comes back after releasing. How do we heal permanently? 😫
Try something like this, see if you can restore and relearn relaxed muscles Full mind-body relaxation, sensing and softening ASMR. Great for tension, pain, and insomnia. ua-cam.com/video/e9aQqwFtNm4/v-deo.html
I wonder if u have any advice for this, I have a L4-L5 and L5 to S1 dehydrated and small annular fissure, had MRI scans etc and they do not see it applying pressure to nerves.... problem is I am in pain a lot of the time with radiating to my hips and often this restless feeling in back and leg, been doing physio but not much is changing
I can't provide any specific advice to you unless I have much more specific information about your condition and concerns. You're welcome to contact me and schedule a telehealth appointment, happyspinepsx.com/contact
I have a question if I may ask. What's the name for a doctor that performs this type of examination and treatment? Is it a specific speciality or is it something that all physicians learn to do and I just didn't know?
This is known as myofascial release. It's practiced by chiropractors, physical therapists, and massage therapists. Not all of these providers are trained or skilled in these techniques. I recommend asking the individual providers their training and experience with myofascial release work.
Dr. Russ, do you have any experience with John Barnes myofascial release? I’m currently in the middle of these seminars and i just finished the first one today. At first I thought they were a little wooey until I got some awesome release in my R. hip
@@DrRussInYourPocket Thank you my friend. Glad to hear you like it as well. It really is excellent work. As always, I love your content and look forward to your videos. You’re definitely my go-to guy on UA-cam for manual therapy. Keep up the amazing work.
I have a question im having neck pains on my right side which is going down my right arm. When i try to relax it hurts even more what do you think it could be?
I can't diagnose you this way, but watch this and see if it relates to your issues. ua-cam.com/video/d4hDsb_S7Q0/v-deo.html Https://happyspinepdx.com/contact to set up a telehealth appointment..
I can relate to the patient saying he still remembers the first "crack". I went to a massage therapist friend of mine a couple of times 7-8 years ago before he moved to a different part of the country. And once he used acupuncture needles for dry needling on a few trigger points in my trapezius muscles. And those first couple of twitches that were very violent still lingers with me to this day. I would love to experience that feeling once again. 😂😂
So what’s this treatment called is this a new thing never seen it I got TMJ will this help me it’s affected my neck and right of my face and shoulder 😢😢😢😢😢
Nothing beats a UA-cam notification of dr Russ posting a new patient video 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
My poor old mama needs him so,
but he's halfway across the country.
Such a wonderful healer and teacher!
We need more doctors like you. I wish i could be your patient.

Dang it, you’re way out there in Oregon. Not close to me here in Ohio. 😩

As the story goes, Daniel then beat the crap out of the good Doctor for not giving him the crack he felt he should have been given.

This is myofascial release.
Are you an MD or chiropractor? It would be ethical to note that.
My credentials are referenced abundantly throughout my channel and website. Thank you for commenting!
Oh man, this looks so nice!!! My TOS & TMJ just craves this kinda work 🥲
I desperately need this work. I’m a massage therapist with upper back pain constantly. 🥲
I hope you find a good person to work with!! Are you in or near Portland? I would be happy to help, or possibly connect you with a good practitioner.
@@DrRussInYourPocket I wish!! I’m in Kentucky
