@@mozart4733 I was tricked too at first, I grew up always believing it had a V8, but its a I6 Hemi! This car is proof that it doesn’t need a V8 to be classified as a muscle car
Reminds me of my uncle driving us to school in the 70,s we loved it and told him to go faster and faster , so he did, he had the same color charger but was an automatic :)
Opening segment street stage is my home town. I know every square inch of this circuit intimately and would love to show the others the way round with a hot lap in one of these cars🏎. Someone has gone to a lot of trouble to create and upload this great footage. Thank you
Beautiful to watch. Looks like it was very well set up. I remember reading that Leo Leonard did very well in New Zealand with their tighter tracks, looks like a few corners in your Targa run. My father had a white E37 770 Charger, the best car we had and we had some nice ones. Thanks for this footage. Absolutely great!
That's a beautiful sound! Canadian here. I have a '65 Valiant Barracuda. I have a 340 and a 4-speed that will go into it, but I wish I could do an Australian Hemi 6 instead. Mine came from the factory with a 273 V-8 automatic.
Hearing that makes me so excited for laying down a deposit on a VK charger with the 265, I look forward to putting on the Weber triple barrel carby to replicate that sound
Had an E48 in Limelight Green, what a great car it was, i wish i still had it today. The Charger is still Australias best looking muscle car .
by far, one of the best sounding I6 engines of all time. it might not have the rumble of a good v8, but that sixpack is beyond wonderful to listen to
I'm gonna be honest I know nothing about these cars and I had been saying to myself, what a great sounding V8!

@@Jackarooooo You think this E48 is good Chrysler V8s will astound you
I still prefer the sound of the i6 of the Chevrolet Opala, but this is good too
I love the Charger to me it was the best looking of the big 3 2 doors
i love these videos. No bullshit non stop commentary.. no stupid ass music. Super footage!! keep up the awesome work
Whoever filmed and put this together should work for Top Gear!

Pity you can't import a 275 and four speed box
Love this car. My one thing on my bucket list is to do the targa tasmania in a valiant, not to win but just for the experience
Hemi Chargers are awesome and this footage is stunning. Thanks for uploading.
Best of era, love it
I love you valiant.
From New Zealand.
You put the 318 in my heart.
Thanks for not playing music over the top.
That Hemi sound!!
Not a fan of Dodge, but this is the few mopars I would love to drive. The Aussie charger definitely has a sleeker look from its American siblings 👍
Chrysler Australia, not Dodge.
Overall a sleeker look.. and smaller lighter 2800lbs and more agile. Also Come in a variety of engines..from 6 cylinders to 360 v8s
The Aussie ‘Charger’ seems to have got its lines & curves from the Plymouth Barracuda 66/67 model.
Hearing that makes me so excited for laying down a deposit on a VK charger with the 265, I look forward to putting on the Weber triple barrel carby to replicate that sound
That sweet and nasty sound of a Hemi 6... second to none!
245/265 hemi 6, THE best sounding engine Chrysler made!
Thats amazing
6 of the best
Best of era
Lovely
Awesome.
Nice!! 😊
You could Pepsi challenge people to think this was a Colombo V12 Ferrari
Is it okay to desire a Valiant Charger more than a Dodge Charger? 😅
Fuck I love the Hemi 6.
Whoa
HEY CHARGER
Is this soundtrack available on CD ?
El 517 pertenecía al Mustang 73 de Peter Winn
Ciao
name a better sounding straight 6 ill wait
Only way to better it is to cam an E55 & short straight pipe it. Damn thing will rumble like a spitfire!
Barra!!!
Barra? Just a copy of the Jag AJ16- good engine all the same, but the sound doesn't compare.
Supercharged 250 Ford Falcon pre crossflow head with dual exhaust headers.
Nissan S20 late sixties to late seventies, but don't get me wrong here though because I love my Mopar stuff mate.
A 6 speed gearbox would be nice...
It may not have much power, but it's still a nice car. Be nice to have. It not often you see one.
You're talking about a car that beat the GT HO in a standing quarter
