I bought a 4-stroke kit from BikeBerry, very nice kit, I also purchased the 56 tooth BBR hub Sprocket kit. Worked great lots of pulling power top speed about 22 mph. I am a bigger rider pulled me great. Hills were no problem.
I have the bt80 I bought just as the pandemic got bad here July 2020 still have it just recently put it on a 26" bike with 24" wheels and front fork for brakes. I'm running a 36t sprocket windowed piston with g2 reed and an nt carb. I cannot pedal this bike until I switch to wide arm crank I don't weigh a bunch probably around 130 but I can take off easily and very quickly without assisting the motor at all you gotta play with that baffle pull it out and put a nut on the inside to where it leaves a couple millimeters between baffle and exhaust so you can see straight through from the side. Your just using the nut on the inside as a stopper and something to solidify the baffle. The more you pull it out the better low end torque with a couple mph shaved off the top at least in my experience over the last 3 years. This was actually my first build ever it's probably been on 6 or more different frames just because I kept changing my mind on the style I wanted it to be. I would like to see you with a speedometer I hit 41 on mine just the other day with the setup I mentioned above I wanna see what yours does stock.
Being a snowmobile and a dirt bike rider my whole life I will always recommend the 2 strokes I've owned them both And I've definitely got many many more miles on a forestroke before any engine work But 2 strokes are just a whole different animal all in their own and they're very quick easy and relatively inexpensive to rebuild. Definitely weigh more Bang for your buck on a 2 stroke.
The Bike Berry transmission while somewhat slower than standard gives you such a smooth takeoff. I think it really saves the wear on the clutch. My experience with the 2 strokes is much more limited.
i dont really think it was a fair test . your comparing a 49cc four stroke to a 80 cc 2 stroke . bikes look great by the way love the tank on the board track racer look a like . (bt) . would love to have that tank on my bike . but like i was saying if you could find a equal sized engine to pair the bikes against you would see the four stroke would eat it alive . in power speed and dependability. just my opinion brother . i mean the 4 stroke pretty much beat the bullet train in everything but speed and the bullet train is almost twice the size as the four stroke . but dont get me wrong i like the bullet train as well . its a really nice engine .
@X1GenKaneShiroX - you'll never get the same power from an equal sized 4 stroke turning the same RPM. You have to increase effective displacement via one of four things: 1- bigger bore or longer stroke for more native displacement 2- bigger cam and better flowing heads for more RPM 3- forced induction (supercharger/turbocharged) 4- power adders (nitrous/methanol/etc.)
49cc engines are good, but the transmission that comes with the Bikeberry kit is terrible. The BT is disposable money, 1,000 miles tops before it's in the recycling bin.
OOf, I'd feel scared to have the battery mounted that low on the one with the electric start, let alone near where the exhaust is. that front tire kick up something metallic and that battery isn't going to like it.
Can a torque converter be installed on the 49cc? I bought one of those from BB like 5 years ago and those transmissions weren't good...the clutch bell had to be welded a few times before it couldn't be anymore
Relying on rear coaster brakes is very risky on any motorized bike. Especially the 4 stroke, too much torque! I've seen them rip the band of the coaster brake off the frame.
Ide go with the 4 stroke cause cops will think I’m on a dirt bike with 2 stroke & harass me & or seize bike & give me tickets & I want something for longevity it’s bad enough I have 3 ebikes 2 direct drives & a mid drive with shift kit but been craving for gas powered bike for yrs 😊 my son had a 80cc bike & I heard him 2 blocks away when ever he came by & he always was dodging cops I don’t want problems with cops😅 but we’ll see in the future. Keep safe.
Being a man (alpha male) I would never feel comfortable riding a bike that goes.. Eeeeeee-eeeeee-eeeee, I gotta have Put-put-put ta keep the testosterone flowing in the old veins! And as long as I'm gonna stick a bunch a time and money into a Bike to look just right I gotta have a 4-Stroke engine! That's a must! Now for a utilitarian type Low-Rider speedster, (for zipping around town) it would have ta be flat-black w/minor chrome accents, motor-Bike on steroids! powered by a Predator 212cc motor with a torque converter! a quiet low-tone muffler, again Put-put-put.. but powerful & fast!
I'll tell you the truth I purchased a bt80 about 3 months ago and it only ran for a day then it just turned off on me while riding it the same day I received it from b.b and it just doesn't start anymore waste of money
Not doing apples and apples. 49cc with a governer to a 80cc .one turning3600 is. the 2.stroke turning7000.Get a 79cc Predator, take the gov. off and match them. The 79 will be smaller but it will eat the bt alive.😂

That’s awesome!
Nice, thanks for sharing that. My questions were answered just now.

thanks for the review!
Definitely put a speedometer on!

I'm surprised that you don't use the carbs with the handlebar mounted choke lever
Interesting. Do they make them for motorized bikes?
yes that is a must for me
@@tonytaylor5087 I made my own custom hcl and It makes cranking easy

Great input! I chose to compare them since it’s common for folks to buy either engine for cruising.
Wish I could still get that frame
Do y'all have more vids then just one or where can I look it up to be sure 1 vid does no justice 💯💯 SPENDING MONEY
There’s dozens of videos on the channel my friend.
Ok I'll check
I really would like to see what would you pull on my racers.
Is there anyway you can show the modification done to that frame. I really like the bicycle frame and would love to use the same engine on it
Isn't there a governor on the 4-stroke that can be removed? I heard of people doing something like that to get higher RPMs.
Probably is. We’ll see if someone in here let’s us know about it.
@@tonytaylor5087 I have a friend that runs one. He builds custom and nicely painted motorized bikes. He did it to his. I'll ask him about it and post.
they have a small plate that acts as a govenor, prevents you from using max possible throttle. it can be unscrewed and removed.
Thanks! I'm sick of the crappy Huasheng! I'm copping a Bullet train. No one else has done a comparison.
I don't dig that battery placement 🙃
Yes... Would be great to see howvfast your going with a speedo!!
4 stroke all day. Less maintenance. Less noise. Less intrusive to the ride. Better awareness. More torque. More enjoyment.
But they’re a bit slower too, that’s why I’m always trying to find out ways online to at least marginally increase the speed of the 4-stroke bicycle.

Is there a slim kit for the pull start side?
I've not seen one so far this doesn't mean their isn't one but someone should definitely make one
Are the new wheels on website for sale
Seems like the four stroke would be better mounted to the back above the rear tire

On a Bike if you use a disc brake on the rear wheel then a front brake isn't necessary!
That’s like saying a motorcycle is fine with only a rear brake. That’s false
brakes on that? really ? we all know its no a wimp engine and those brakes don't add up to safe
Which bike are you talking about?
Start you own channel and show how it’s done. It’s easy to criticize not easy to demonstrate
Need help I have a bullet train 40.1 rode over 800 miles now it fills like it's vapor locking
Idk if it's still relevant but put a hose between the intake and the carb. Should get the temps down
Bike berry sent me a lemon cheap bt80
Btw the 2stroke are cheap and the 4 stroke are also cheap but tend to last longer

Yeah... Stop putting your throttle on while you brake!

I'll never use bikeberry again paid over 200 bucks for their 4 stroke and am yet to see the engine now the just ignore all my emails
Yo u get ur engine

NEVER count on rear cheap Bendix brakes! Better to get a freewheel rim with brakes!
My bt 80 would smoke yours 😂😂
