Sticky, don't let this infere with your brain; it's just comics, even when it's a business. Everyone saw what happened, everyone can also relate to this. Move on and come back to us. We miss you!
Looks like ComicTom's advice to Sticky about how drama related content fizzles out and those channels that focus on it wither and die are getting more and more prophetic judging by how despondent and out matched Sticky is in this game. Behold, a goose whose beak outweighed it's grasp on the prize and laid a turd instead of a golden egg. "Comic karma" is real but unfortunately this goose is cooked.
Sticky Goose has repeatedly tried to destroy the hobby (fellow collectors, the business owners that are stewards of the industry, and the UA-cam community that celebrates it). Good riddance to this brand of amateurism, trolling, and toxicity 🤫
We watched a train wreck Mr.Sticky. Your voice was shaky and it looked like you were trembling. You couldn't get out a single coherent sentence. I haven't seen something destroyed that bad since my Uncle annihilated a Wendy's bathroom after eating 4 bowls of chili. It was almost uncomfortable to watch. But man was it entertaining. That was some high level S & M stuff.
Your intent was to incite a conflict. Bully Boy meets real Fan Boy. You should not be in the same room with most collectors. This was not entertainment, this was an embarrassment of a wannabe. Cheers
It took me a while, but I finally watched the Comic Tom video. First, I want to say that I watch and enjoy both of your channels and appreciate the different perspectives you each bring. I don’t think you got owned or destroyed; it felt more like you encountered a true insider. When talking to a true insider, you have to remember they've drunk the juice and they’re fully committed to the comic Tom brand and the brand's viewpoint, whether it’s promoting a mystery box, a new variant cover of a variant cover, or a comic they’re producing. They’re deeply invested in their brand and will promote their products with much enthusiasm, believing it drives their success-and many people will literally buy into it. I mean how many virgin covers can one person have? I’ve always felt that Comic Tom is much more of a dealer than a collector. While I appreciate the production quality of his videos and the information he shares, it often feels like a constant push to buy, buy, buy. I know I’m not there for Tom’s honest opinion; it’s clear he’s focused on the business side of comics and where it can take him. He tends to promote something in every episode. He’s built something that many in the community enjoy, and he’s aiming for big success, while your channel feels more organic, often mixing honest opinions with some satire. I think the Gem Mint interview went much better because Gem Mint has community influence but doesn’t share that insider mentality. That’s why I think he and Tom get along, but they don’t fully mesh together. Keep doing what you’re doing; we need insiders, outsiders, influencers, and disruptors-everyone brings something valuable to the community.
I really hope that you continue to make content. I am subscribed to both you and ComicTom and I watch 10 of your videos to every one of his. I just find your material more interesting and entertaining. I will admit that I watched less of your videos when they were about other UA-cam content creators. I loved your videos back when you went hunting for comics and critiqued the stores in your own special way. Those crappy stores were real and tangible things that many comic collectors have similar experiences with. You have been one of the top three channels that I watched regularly before all of this UA-cam comic community stuff. I think you took a wrong turn over the last month or two. If you continue, go back to being the OldGoose. I wanted to thank you for providing all of that great entertainment and content. I appreciate your time and effort, even if others don’t.
Surprise, surprise.......all these people you've been shitting on for the last couple years are real people with real motivations. Glad this seems to have been a much-needed eye-opener for you, Sticky. Yeesh.
SG has been the only one to ever call out the king of comic market manipulators in a live chat. If you defend Comictom, remember the photo of him with arms overflowing graded 9.9 & 10s he got from CGC, and that was still in the era 9.8 was most CGC would give.
Getting mad at someone who sells comics for selling comics is crazy dude, you said can he ever talk about comics without money, that’s what he does dude, can you ever talk about comics without talking about other people Goose ? It’s a completely pointless situation. It’s obvious you’re going for views and want to be a popular channel which is fine but don’t do it under the cloak of nobility and start virtue signaling, it’s the most disingenuous way to be and people can see right through it.
I watch you because of you are articulate & produced very informative videos such a types of comic shops, customers, dealers, the disadvantages of “slabs”, tours of comic shops, etc. I was aware of your unorthodox behaviour, but didn’t watch or focus on those videos. I like your informative videos! Keep these videos coming please!
For anyone reading, this is the Daniel I know and have become friends with. It takes courage to admit one’s own failures. You told me when we first met, you just wanted to make entertaining videos. That is something you do not fail at. Friday was entertaining above all else, you gave us all something that won’t be forgotten. I hope Tom watches this video and sees the real you, he’s a good dude and I hope you guys can make some peace. I guess we are now leaving the drama era and go into the unknown. Mother Goose was just protecting her man, my Gemma would be the same. Shake and Bake brother!
Hopefully retirement. Acting like an ignorant comic book fan on the Internet is no longer funny. It's getting sad, I'm starting to think it's not an act
I've never commented on your channel before, but since you put out a heartfelt honest response, I felt like sharing. First and foremost it's all good brotha! Thanks for the truth and honesty. This I can relate to and this is the action of a penitent man. A man striving to walk a righteous path. We all have to learn and grow in life through many different lessons and experiences. When your actions and intentions come from a place of truth and honesty, it will only manifest the fruits of those morals. This is the Goose I feel most people like to see. The man with a big heart and a genuine personality. Regardless of some stream that went sideways, I heard a lot of people still supporting you and saying they had love for you. The whole thing was just a lesson for you to see a part of self that needed to be addressed and to see how people truly feel about you. I can tell you have clearly reassessed and your already moving in a new direction. The past is the past so let it dwell in the past. I wish the best for you man and I look forward to more Sticky Goose content. Peace and Love
Yep, negativity certainly does sell - but that doesn't mean it's right. I enjoy your channel, your insights and your personality. You have a candour and a bravery to just put it all out there raw, and that's admirable. I think you can lean towards the negative, sometimes punch down a bit, but your honesty keeps it pretty much on an even keel. At the end of the day, you're funny and likeable too and you have a great energy. Plus you do have a great life partner in Mother Goose - as you rightly acknowledge! You guys are great together. And some of your content (like the recent Gem Mint sessions) is hilarious, laugh-out-loud stuff! I hope you stay in the space, maybe take a short break and reassess where you want to go and what you feel comfortable with, then move forwards. Stick with it, Sticky!
Bro,your good- no worries you are a very honest person regardless of what happens and that honesty is what brings us back for more. As an older guy,and in a position in life where I have to determine what people are made of,my opinion on Tom has not changed. I do not trust him,and I never will, remember there's a reason why Barnum and Harevy Weisteins and all the other charlatans are successful. You my friend are honest and that can be a burden on its own,but in the end you will win.
On one hand, I appreciate your candor. On the other hand, it really was not that necessary. I hope you realize this as a leveling up moment. You landed a whale and took a big swing at him. That's impressive enough. You bit off more than you could chew. Its humiliating. Welcome to the kitchen. Get over it. Get better. You fold over now, you won't even be a footnote. You got into this business for some reason. Reconnect with what you love about it and lean in hard. You can't just quit when all eyes are on you. That would be worse than anything you were trying to explain away in this video. We all love to watch a good train wreck once in a while, but watching a fighter get up off the mat after taking a shot is what we live for. Keep rolling.
This was a much better response to the live stream than the parody you did. But, it makes me question whether this is ingenuous or not--this should have been the only response... not the parody. I started watching your videos long before the "strap-on" crap started, but I've watched less and less of your channel as it's become all about the drama. There's a reason I don't watch "reality TV." Obviously, you have "found your niche" with the drama, but I for one just don't enjoy it in the least. The only reason I've stayed subscribed is for those tidbits you sprinkle between the drama.
The Rise & Fall of StickyGoose, narrated by Matthew McConaughey, coming soon to Tubi....Batman didn't quit after losing to Bane, Rocky Balboa didn't log off after failing to knock out Apollo Creed
Just be yourself.. comic Tom - AF 15.. gem mint - ASM -1.. Both top tier comic book commentators, people aspire to be like them. To have been featured with both of them in such a short time is an achievement to be proud of. People come into our lives to teach us life lessons about ourselves. STICKY GOOSE - FF 1 (2nd series ). Highly enjoyable content either way.
Figure out what you like about this hobby. And put that out. You can be critical but a lot of your approach was biased driven. Regroup and come back with a better goal of creating content for this hobby is your goal
Glad you owned up and reflected. Takes a real man. You’ve got my respect. Your previous vid was petty and not worth 6k views…that’s peanuts in YT. I like your previous content, so I hope you move on from this. Was super entertaining though!
Don’t be fooled thinking Comic Tom was completely honest when he’s just slick. When you mentioned Power Pack as an example. He fooled everyone saying what a great family book it is. Great for kids and family reading night! Uh-huh. Sure. Did he flash the CGC 9.8 exorbitant price next to the family book? He pushes out a collectible, not family reading. You were on the right track, but couldn’t react fast enough.
Maybe I’m wrong, but I thought your quest against him was to knock him down a peg or two. Show that what he does sometimes has negative consequences (did you personally get burned by bad comic YT advice at one point). Right the wrong. Fight for the little guy. But in reality, even if you won, it wouldn’t have changed anything. He’ll go right back to shilling and talking the next day. I know you realize the same thing; you said as much in this video (what was the point in the end).
You'll figure it out. Looking forward to seeing what you do next (if there is a next).
I'm gathering this experience was very humbling for you. I watch you and your content for your personality, insight on the market, the cons/comic shops you visit, and the input your spouse places into the content (she's very intelligent and likeable). I DON'T watch for the roasting, battling of other comic content creators, and jockeying for clicks, it's just not fun along with not condusive of what the community is supposed to be. Good video. Keep up the good content, thank you!
I like your videos involving the comic book stores and exploring the world of them and thanks you I found a couple stores I never knew existed and I live in VA! You hustle a lot and just keep put an emphasis on the stuff you like and keep pushing forward
In your last video, if you do leave, can Mother Goose walk across the room and scoop you up in her arms like the final scene from An Officer And A Gentleman. She'll take off the Halo Master Chief helmet and place it gently on your head and all the Sticker People will shout "Way to go Sticky... way to go!!"😢 (hang in there boss 👑)
you didn't want anyone to challenge you. you challenged him and were confrontational the whole time. You invited him on your show and were an ahole to him the whole time. I am not trying to be mean in my comments; however, it is apparent you are unhappy . I wish you well in your healing but you need to find what makes you happy in life and strive towards that.
I'd like to see some more content with you and Tom. It was definitely entertaining! Good on you to swallow that pride and acknowledge that you poked a bear. Respect!
ZERO PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY OR GROWTH So so sad Mr. Goose. If you stick with this schtick, it WILL cause your psyche harm. Take it from some one who has made this life mistake. It's not worth it, man.
Sticky Goose you did the right thing by “owning it” and you showed humility. There’s no need to rehash what has transpired over the last couple days on your channel. The great thing about UA-cam and Social Media is that people will move on quickly and you can recover quickly when you are sincere and honest. Maybe one day we will see you get an opportunity to have a part 2 interview ComicTom. After failure, the opportunity that awaits is redemption!
This was arguably the best video you've ever made. Its a testament of what being humble really is. I think thats lost on many of your viewers and they see you as an attack on the industry and its machinations. Yea, some of your content could be seen as toxic, but sometimes communication requires a lil bit of toxicity to be heard. You've come a long way since your "strap on" days. You found your niche audience (and Im proud to say Im of that audience). And in the midst of "punching up" in the community, you showed humility when bringing a knife to a gunfight. My opinion is that you stay this path and open up to the possibility of expanding the media you discuss to broaden your target audience. To things you love and are passionate about. Not just Comics, but games, MTG and film (even music, Tool FTW). This is just a fork in the road, you can still pick a backroad to travel. But throwing in the towel? Not an option for the Goose.
He said he wants to do YT for a living and quit his day job. Drama feeds the algorithm and creates engagement. Look at how many comments he is getting on these videos. People acting like he failed haha. This is literally what he wanted and everybody is trolling themselves and I'm here to watch.
This dude doesn’t even know why he wanted to go at Tom gtfoh he’s lost in life I would never follow someone who can’t even answer his own questions and his wife is definitely a Karen
Hey Sticky Goose, just learn from this experience and keep moving forward. I enjoy your content and I would continue to watch if you continue your journey.
I appreciate what you do because it is different with humor. I do think some youtubers are full of themselves and to me they are nothing more than op-ed videos. I do not take anything they say serious. I've been collecting for over 40 years and anything anyone has ever tried to influence over me was met with my thoughts of collecting what I want and my goals of my own hobby. If you truly love the hobby; do it how you want, block out all the noise and don't worry about what anyone thinks. These guys will come and go.
Time to grow my dude, lessons learned pick up your trousers and keep it moving! It happens, part of life and growth as a person and pesonality. His presence as a long time established for lack of better term"bullshiter"is unmatched in our space. But doesn't mean you where wrong to challenge, just need to be more prepared and seasoned in this arena.Just be yourself and F what you think the people want because I can assure you they/we have no F'n clue until we see it! Entertainment is subjective and you are very entertaining it be a shame to give up your voice and insights.
I don’t disagree that comic related drama fizzles out. Gets old after a while. That being said some of the drama SG talks about we can relate to as collectors. Out of touch old guard comic shop owners. Gate keeping convention dealers. Hopefully SG finds a happy medium with content creation going forward.

You mean that? What makes you say that? Because she pays for things? It was absolutely emasculating hearing her at the end of that video. Completely unbecoming of a woman and rightfully smeared by Comic Tom, who I do not watch and was not the reason I was there. I was there because of Sticky Goose. Their relationship and Sticky's conduct is not to be seen as anything other than representative of a much larger and sicker, abnormal, societal phenomenon. It is that big a deal.
@MarcoMasseria based on all the previous videos she was in. Not just a 7 second clip at the end the interview where she gives Tom shit for taking advantage of the situation to plug his comic.
@@GravelRacer1 I can understand that. You know more than me. I'm willing to acknowledge that that may the case and i just fired off. Side note: This drama could be fantastic for him if he harnesses it for his personal growth and the trajectory of the channel.

Toxic, perfect application of the word
We watched a train wreck Mr.Sticky. Your voice was shaky and it looked like you were trembling. You couldn't get out a single coherent sentence. I haven't seen something destroyed that bad since my Uncle annihilated a Wendy's bathroom after eating 4 bowls of chili. It was almost uncomfortable to watch. But man was it entertaining. That was some high level S & M stuff.
So for all the advice he gave you, you learned nothing. Not sure why you even do this. Maybe try bird watching.
You either die the hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain
Your intent was to incite a conflict. Bully Boy meets real Fan Boy. You should not be in the same room with most collectors. This was not entertainment, this was an embarrassment of a wannabe.
Cheers
Yet you watched
@@johnnybegood6435 How could I not watch. Much like prono it's not easy to look away. There are fans for everything I suppose.
Oh yeah, unsubscribing.
See ya would'nt wanna be ya.
Keep doing what you’re doing; we need insiders, outsiders, influencers, and disruptors-everyone brings something valuable to the community.
great analysis.
Thanks for this very honest take on the situation. I guess a pause is in order, but you should not quit. Focus on quality, not views.
You got what you wanted - More views, Talked about on UA-cam by other streamers, Talked about on Instagram… You nailed it.
100%, he got more engagement than if he would have steam rolled CT
The old saying - “There’s No Such Thing As Bad Publicity”
Especially when it helps you get what you want.. Stimulating product awareness.
Perfect example of "being humbled."
Yeesh.
Tom did what he did effortlessly because you’re a fan !!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
you are taking to long for your next video, if you want to cash in on this you must come back more of a heel then ever and do it today
I ain't never took a beating that made me question my existence. jfc

SG has been the only one to ever call out the king of comic market manipulators in a live chat. If you defend Comictom, remember the photo of him with arms overflowing graded 9.9 & 10s he got from CGC, and that was still in the era 9.8 was most CGC would give.
disingenuous...
My takeaway is this; the moment someone realizes that they have Dunning-Krueger Syndrome is the moment they no longer have it.
They can really tell if you are genuine or not. Man, you have no idea what the viewers experience.
The goose is gone...Now you gotta rise from the ashes as Sticky Phoenix!

Daaamn Tom made you question your whole life and existence. Lol wow you just made Tom Legendary. The goose done retired
Sticky will be back because the universe needs balance.
Tnis guy and his karen wife are the worst

Both top tier comic book commentators, people aspire to be like them. To have been featured with both of them in such a short time is an achievement to be proud of. People come into our lives to teach us life lessons about ourselves. STICKY GOOSE - FF 1 (2nd series ). Highly enjoyable content either way.

You wanted a fight you thought you would Win! You got Battered by the 3rd Round, but fair play, coming on here and admitting it! 👏🏻👏🏻
Respect!
Don’t quit, your story has many chapters. People are invested

ZERO PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY OR GROWTH
So so sad Mr. Goose.
If you stick with this schtick, it WILL cause your psyche harm.
Take it from some one who has made this life mistake. It's not worth it, man.
You expected the same conversation like Gem-Mint. You were star-struck at the same time. The approach was a challenge instead of simple conversation.
There is a clear difference between being humble & being humbled.
@@MrOldboy360 was Goose not humbled on Friday?

This right here.

Just as he said, Tom's success stems from him being himself. Be yourself my man. Keep at it. You just may need to pivot a bit.
A story of David vs. Goliath, in this case Comic Tom was David…
He was also trying to help you dude not fight you :) I did not know both of you guys until Gem mint mentioned it so keep going.
I don’t disagree that comic related drama fizzles out. Gets old after a while. That being said some of the drama SG talks about we can relate to as collectors. Out of touch old guard comic shop owners. Gate keeping convention dealers. Hopefully SG finds a happy medium with content creation going forward.
You keep them honest mr goose that’s your legacy comic Tom was pushing books then changed too saying they are overpriced at times watched him real time you had a role in that keep up the good work
Loved this reflection video, it’s always beneficial to look at what we are doing in life and reset. I enjoy popping in to your videos because you have a unique voice. I’ve always said the creators on UA-cam that do the best at least for are people having fun. Be your authentic self and lean into your creativity. I wish you and your family the best and hope to see whatever you’ve got coming up next 💗💗
It was entertaining for sure. One thing that you harped on Tom for was not being active in the comment section of his videos but I feel you are guilty of that as well.
It was a big league team in Comic Tom going up against a single A farm team in Sticky Goose. He took you to school and i hope you learned something.
You’re good in front of a camera homie. Not everyone has IT, including myself. I truly believe you can get a solid following just by talking about the hobby, not others.
Hope this opened your eyes to try and shift to content that has more longevity....
Get some sleep Sticky….what’s done is done. Ultimately if you feel you’ve done wrong then apologise to Tom, learn from it and move on. You were in the moment and got carried away. You’re not the first and won’t be the last to do something stupid.
You took a major L. You learn and move on. It was indeed entertaining AF and a milestone moment in Comic Book UA-cam. Moving forward, just do you. At the end of the day, people watch your content for YOU. I use to hate watch your shit for sure. Now I find myself looking forward to what the Goose has to say. It's still Sticker People 4 Life tho!
Nothing was wrong stickly goose, comictom had a legit answer to all the questions and comictom is simply masterful at explaining and getting his message across. Keep doing you!

This was much more genuine a response. Wasn’t a fan of yours previously, but this is a step in the right direction. Own it, learn from it, and better moving forward.
You're very lucky man to be married to Mrs Sticky.

Way to take accountability. Its funny, I watched all of this unfold on a weekend where I am starting my own comic channel. I say you continue on, if you LOVE to make comic content. Never mind the views, just fall in love with the process and be real and transparent and you'll get all that you're looking for.
My opinion is your goal was to get views…. Which there’s nothing wrong with. However, your strategy and “persona” you’ve built has a very low ceiling…. And you’ve hit it now.
I’d like to see more future videos, don’t let this small set back keep you from making anymore content. Your channel was something different that alot of us enjoyed who cares what others have to say just 🐑 anyway.
Take this as a learning opportunity and continue to move forward with your channel, growing to be better, you provide great content, and the fact that you were transparent with your intentions speaks highly of you.
