You and Ricky were able to do my dream. See all those raw comics... the discoveries! I would organize that collection for free to be able to flip through it.
You guys going through all those boxes was such a thrill to watch. Reminds me of going through long boxes as a kid in the 90s and just discovering titles I never heard of. Awesome video and its great to see that Spectacular Spider-Man love!
Eclipse's World Of Wood is a great miniseries topped off by some beautiful Dave Stevens covers; it was my first real introduction to Wood's genius. Once the speculators go away, I hope Stevens' work continues to be appreciated by discerning fans of the medium. I used the cover for the second World Of Wood issue you show as the cover for a compilation of SF short stories for my senior English students; it included a few Bradbury stories, one each by Henry Kuttner, Ben Bova and Joe Haldeman and of course two Wood reprints from his EC days.
Worked retail in high school and college. If I had a nickel for every time somebody said, "There's no price on it; it must be free" and then laugh, ... And I would have to smile and laugh like it was the first time I'd ever heard that joke. Fantastic haul!
Love 🎉those spec spidey books. Always grab them when i see them. Fun watching rickys video then seeing it from your perspective. Great watching you both hunt
Boy did they have allot of boxes in that small store. Looked like you couldn’t even move around in there. When I saw you guys reaching over other boxes I had to laugh! Congrats!
Really enjoyed the last two episodes, I would so excited to go through those boxes. I would have to sit down for a while and collect my thoughts, then go crazy searching through the boxes. I think the thrill would be amazing. I liked the world of wood. I should say I enjoy your channel and please keep the videos rolling
I think I've been in there! I love the hunt, I just wish I knew better what I was looking for. Looked like a ton of fun. What I love is your enthusiasm of finds that are not necessarily huge money but just stuff you love.
That's an incredible haul! What I enjoyed most was the joy both you and Ricky had digging through boxes, passing stacks of books over to each other, and riffing off of one another while you searched. Thanks for sharing!
I literally grew up on Judge Dredd in 2000ad. Would pop down to Forbidden Planet when they had one store on Denmark Street, and meet all the writers and artists. At one time I had prog 1 & 2 signed by the whole 2000ad crew. Fun times. That Forbidden Planet was mainly sci-fi books, and now and then would get old collections of eagle which featured Dan Dare. People there were brilliant. They then opened their “TV store” on New Oxford Street, with a life size Dalek, and actual Nostromo prop from Alien.
What an amazing haul of books! That must've been an incredible experience digging through the unsorted boxes to find so many keys. Kudos to the people at That’s Entertainment for recognizing your hard work and discounting those books accordingly. I would definitely visit their stores if I'm ever in the area. Thank you for sharing!
Great finds Mike. I've only been there twice. Usually find some good stuff. I never asked to loom through their unsorted books because That's E in Worcester never lets you. Lol. Smaller sister store was probably like sure we can use the free labor. Lol. 👊🏼
“You know when you see a book cover for the first time, then see it constantly”. Yep! How the brain works is marvelous. But nothing better than finding the one cover you have memorized that never comes up.
Great video Mike! Where to begin with the finds from this store… you and Ricky made out like bandits! Love it! I would have bought all those silver age Thor books as well. Thanks for sharing the journey! 🤙
So many great books hiding in those boxes - who knows what else is in there?!? There's no way I would have been able to pass on that Jungle Comics 1-3 that you showed at the beginning of the visit. Awesome that they pulled out those World of Wood 1 & 2, and the prices were even better!
Well, after watching this I guess I'm going to Fitchburg! Great video Mike. Think you'll visit the Little Giant Comic show in a few weeks? I went for the first time last year and loved it.
I had no idea there were TWO That’s Entertainment shops! I’ve been to the one in Worcester a few times. Got to check this one out now. Also, I checked out a Magicgeeks whatnot… and blew my budget! Thanks for the heads up about them!
So many killer books and what a great deal too! I was getting anxiety watching you flip through those boxes and seeing tons of stuff that I need for my collection ha!
Excellent video! During the video of the box search I saw you passing by a bunch of Marvel Doctor Who comics. I was a little envious since I'm looking to get my hands on those issues myself.
Mike , I WISH I had some of your luck !!!, what an amazing haul !! I always pick up X-factor 88, which is the 1st appearance of Random, He is such a cool character and who knows, maybe some day he will appear in a MCU movie. Now moving on to the 1st appearance of Nathan Richards ..... I picked up every issue I could find going back 30 years ago. Let me explain , his name is Nathan , he is a time traveler, he has a bionic arm, and a bionic eye, AND he looks just like CABLE. I kept waiting and waiting for Marvel to announce that he actually WAS Cable, but I guess I will keep waiting lol. I was spec'n long before spec'n was a thing. Anyway, another amazing video Mike, LOVE your content and more importantly I love your personality. Keep hunting !!!
Those spectacular Spider-Man’s I’ve been searching for in the wild forever! That’s a turkey as far as comic books! Rick and Morty’s are relatively low print runs so might be worth buying cheap for good trades
Hi Mike. I’ve been looking forward to this one since you teased it last week. Some great pick ups there. I only just discovered a Dave Steven’s cover the other day it’s Image Comics Dv8 #1 pride cover. Everything on the outside of the mirror is Dave Steven’s but the reflection is Adam Hughes work ! You probably know about it but just in case. 😁
Magnificent finds, Mike! I am not familiar with Dave Stevens, and your findings piqued my interest, especially after comparing the price you paid to what Mile High Comics has them listed for 😄
The larger That's E Worcester store is undergoing a renovation. I'd be curious if a ton of those unsorted long boxes made it over to the Fitchburg store. Nice finds!
Okay... a few of things. I wanted to congratulate you on your obtaining the full run of Excalibur! It should be a really fun read (a few ruff parts but otherwise solid). Make sure you have all 125 issues. The Flashback issue. The 5 specials. The 2 Annuals. and the 4 part (Age of Apocalypse) X-Calibre (and if you are die hard you need to grab the Pryde and Wisdom 3 part story. 2ndly - No need to apologize for the first (or second) Wolverine appearance or the Giant Sized X-Men or even finding X-men #1. Those were your unobtainables that you were able to find and you shared that with the community! 3rd (a question) - Do you also have an X-men/Uncanny X-men collected editions somewhere and how far have you gotten into that run(s), or do you still prefer the single comic format? 4th ( a statement) - After having watched the last two-parter (above video) with Ricky I was curious and I went over to his channel. You weren't kidding about him hitting you with some surprisingly honest moments. He won me over, I subscribed to his channel as well and will be watching as i continue the long track through sorting and cataloging my ever fluctuating collection. Thank you for the introduction!
Yup, I can confirm I have the entire Excalibur volume 1. I do have many collected X-Men TPBs and even digital, but trades are actually how I prefer to read them. And yes, Ricky is great, if it's not clear from his videos he's actually a pretty extraordinary guy and I'm happy to call him a friend!
In my last video I had a comic that featured wally wood and jack kirby's art work. Sky masters of the space force number 1 from 1991. The book had a A short biography of the creators and examples of their artwork. It was also an oversized book. And it wasn't very expensive where I got it. This might be something you would like to get or your viewers.
Great finds! I'm still on the hunt for the negative space spidey cover, spectacular spidey 101 Also, met you today through FaceTime with Alex the Comic Hoarder while he was at the toy shop (Quake Collectibles) in Chicago!
aw man would totally have picked up that Naussica Miyazaki series run, thats hard to find and absolutely stunning!!! also would have grabbed those Appleseeds you came across early on
There's nothing like digging through 'fresh' comic book boxes and finding great books at a great price. A dream come true! Congrats on all the great pick-ups for both of you, what a day!
I've read the Mexican version of Spidey just for the Gwen lives happy angle. Knowing continuity as we all do... it's BIZARRE!!! It's still a pretty good run,but ya miss MJ before you get very far.
I wish you and Mon comics will eventually meet up in person. I just checked out his latest upload on his channel and his latest vid is just so gnarly!!!!
Wow, Avengers Assemble! I like to call that ASM cover "Getting punched in the crotch by Spider-Man!" John Byrne, that name doesn't mean anything to me! Avengers Annual #10, the first comic I bought with my own money!
You and Ricky were able to do my dream. See all those raw comics... the discoveries! I would organize that collection for free to be able to flip through it.
It's a buyer's market out there...Especially east coast..
Probably because kids are not into it. Rare to find kids and teens in LCS these days.
Wow what a great deal on awesome books! Digging through those unknown boxes looked like so much fun and you guys got some great stuff out of it!!!
Been going for years to this place and still haven’t gone through everything . Constantly finding stuff. Keeps me coming back.
You guys going through all those boxes was such a thrill to watch. Reminds me of going through long boxes as a kid in the 90s and just discovering titles I never heard of. Awesome video and its great to see that Spectacular Spider-Man love!
I've been watching all your videos honestly you made me get back into comics. I'm so excited to start collecting again.
Thanks, that’s great to hear!
Man that was a good dig. Thanks for bringing Ricky i been watching his channel love that guy he's Hilarious.
It's so crazy what your collection is worth compared to what you've spent. It's inspiring!
Agreed World of Wood 2 cover is a classic! Such a Great cover - did you check out the BACK cover! I'm looking for a 2nd copy to display both ways...

Love 🎉those spec spidey books. Always grab them when i see them. Fun watching rickys video then seeing it from your perspective. Great watching you both hunt
Buddyhunts are the best! Awesome video and lot of work to digging those boxes, but so rewarding 😊
my god, you found a honey hole!!! AMAZING!!!
Boy did they have allot of boxes in that small store. Looked like you couldn’t even move around in there. When I saw you guys reaching over other boxes I had to laugh! Congrats!
That was some epic digging. I think we need to market comic book hunters kneepads for digging under tables.
What an exciting time! Even better with a friend ❤
Wow, Score on the Dave Stevens! Those two continue to elude me😂
I would’ve spent the whole day going through all those boxes
If we got there in the morning we probably would have!
THE WAY MY JAW DROPPED WITH EVEYTHING YOU PULLED FROM THOSE BOXES
Another KILLER Haul!!!
That Jim Lee Cap/wolvie/black widow cover is one of my all time faves
I literally grew up on Judge Dredd in 2000ad. Would pop down to Forbidden Planet when they had one store on Denmark Street, and meet all the writers and artists. At one time I had prog 1 & 2 signed by the whole 2000ad crew. Fun times. That Forbidden Planet was mainly sci-fi books, and now and then would get old collections of eagle which featured Dan Dare. Great gets…. Ps on that awesome WHAT IF. You referred to Goblin and Lantern. But we knew what you meant. Your videos always inspire! 🙏🏻 thanks
What an amazing haul of books! That must've been an incredible experience digging through the unsorted boxes to find so many keys. Thanks for sharing! So cool. :)
Great finds Mike. I've only been there twice. Usually find some good stuff. I never asked to loom through their unsorted books because That's E in Worcester never lets you. Lol. Smaller sister store was probably like sure we can use the free labor. Lol. 👊🏼
I saw those world of woods and new you were going to take those home nice pickups mike!
“You know when you see a book cover for the first time, then see it constantly”. Yep! How the brain works is marvelous. But nothing better than finding the one cover you have memorized that never comes up.
Another great video Mike! Im honestly amazed at what you find even though you flip through boxes at 10 comic chunks at a time 🤷🏻♂️
Great video Mike! Where to begin with the finds from this store… you and Ricky made out like bandits! Love it! I would have bought all those silver age Thor books as well. Thanks for sharing the journey! 🤙
That Thor 169 is a Galactus origin issue. I’ve always loved that cover!
Mike and Ricky, VERY envious that you guys got to go through all that INCREDIBLE STUFF!! Jeez -aloo!!

So many great books hiding in those boxes - who knows what else is in there?!? There's no way I would have been able to pass on that Jungle Comics 1-3 that you showed at the beginning of the visit. Awesome that they pulled out those World of Wood 1 & 2, and the prices were even better!
Doh! I need that! I need THAT! Oof I need that whole BOX! 😅😅😅
lol I get that A LOT!
Well, after watching this I guess I'm going to Fitchburg! Great video Mike. Think you'll visit the Little Giant Comic show in a few weeks? I went for the first time last year and loved it.
I will 100% be there!
I had no idea there were TWO That’s Entertainment shops! I’ve been to the one in Worcester a few times. Got to check this one out now. Also, I checked out a Magicgeeks whatnot… and blew my budget! Thanks for the heads up about them!

Excellent video! During the video of the box search I saw you passing by a bunch of Marvel Doctor Who comics. I was a little envious since I'm looking to get my hands on those issues myself.
Avengers Annual 10 is also an Al Milgrom cover. You might want to get that signed too.
True!
Great finds 🎉
Wow, great deal, I looked up the price DD#171, and the 25:07 cheapest I found was $18. You paid $2.40.😊
Very cool haul and man, what an awesome day you two must have had going through all of those books! Great finds and great video!
Great haul for a Benjamin (Franklin, not Grimm). Nice variety of books, but love the Avengers Annual 10 pick-up.
Can you do a video showing and talking about your marvel cards? That would be great! Thank you!
Mike , I WISH I had some of your luck !!!, what an amazing haul !! I always pick up X-factor 88, which is the 1st appearance of Random, He is such a cool character and who knows, maybe some day he will appear in a MCU movie. O.M.G. not jealous at all...
Hi Mike. I’ve been looking forward to this one since you teased it last week. Some great pick ups there. That is a collectors dream come true!!😮
Congrats, Mike. Those are some great grabs.
Thank you for the heads up!! Dave Stevens drawing phantom lady is a must grab for me!
Boy, Milgrom is really channeling Ditko on that PARKER Cover!!
Nice finds!

Good job, as usual… 😎

Okay... a few of things. I wanted to congratulate you on your obtaining the full run of Excalibur! It should be a really fun read (a few ruff parts but otherwise solid).

Dark Image is also 1st appearance of many Image characters.
I prefer the Worcester store but both shops are good.
You should check out Hall of Comics or Bedrock comics.
Like how you said green lantern knocked Gwen off
BWAHAHAHA I was talking too fast! It’s not often I don’t catch those slip ups!
Another reason to dislike Green Lantern…😂
Great finds! I'm still on the hunt for the negative space spidey cover, spectacular spidey 101
Also, met you today through FaceTime with Alex the Comic Hoarder while he was at the toy shop (Quake Collectibles) in Chicago!
It was great meeting you!
Yes!!!! I. Was. “LIKE “. Number. 500!!
Love judge Dredd but so weird to see it in “comic form” collected 2000ad as a kid (printed on newspaper)…

jeez all those dave stevens took me a long time to find, much less 4 of the same ones im looking for you find in moments
Okay. Your luck is ridiculous! 😂
Not luck, just lots of trial and error
You should have been wearing an Indiana Jones hat while you were trying to find the Lost Ark in all those boxes.
They could've charged you $15 each on the Spectacular Spidey's alone.
I would be busting out the credit card
Wow, Avengers Assemble!
I like to call that ASM cover "Getting punched in the crotch by Spider-Man!"
John Byrne, that name doesn't mean anything to me!
Avengers Annual #10, the first comic I bought with my own money!
