It really is. And with so much competition, they have to keep their prices low. A $300 unit today would have cost over a grand 20 years ago.

Amazing video! The Ampero MP-80 was the best sounding imo, mainly in hi-gains sounds.
This was just a delightful comparison video! Thanks for it. Your choice of music to cycle thru each of these boards was tasteful and I think Yielded a wider sound palette than the standard metal power chords and single note slurries that don't say much for amp tone on these machines.

All of them are good, but it depends on your tone hearing, and I would prefer Nux mg30 and Mooer, i have them both and did not regret on it..❤❤❤

Which do you think is better in the emulation of effects and amps, the nux mg30 or the hotone ampero?
A lot of work and skills ends up with great result. I had HB, liked it a lot, but started in a band and went for tube amp instead. That's also the only one with four switches and if you like or have to turn effects on / off that will give bit more options.
Surprised how close they sounded, but if I was going to buy one it would be NUX -MG 30. Sounded stronger , and more organic in the mix...🤘
I’ve got an MG-30 and it’s generally a great unit. I’ve used on about 100 sessions so far and am generally happy with it.
It’s weak in the compressor dept and using the onboard wah is kinda fussy. But other than that it’s an excellent unit.

What IR are you using on the AC30 MG30?
This is a really good video. I thought the NUX did pretty well until the metal section with 5150 amp. I preferred the Harley Benton’s metal tone.
The ampero is a bit more bassy, particularily pronounced in the JCM800 example.This gives it a bit more pressure. In regard to the 5150. The V3.1.7 current firmware on the MG-30 has bugs in the VIVO and SLO models. There is a beta available which fixes both models with great effect. Which firmware version did you use?

Great video! They were all really close. I was surprised how well the Harley Benton held up. The NUX was incredible on high gain tones but I thought the clean Fender sounded a bit shrill.
I’d be interested to see a similar video comparing a few drives & effects on these same units.
What a cool vid, and comparison! I'm going with the Mooer. Sounded killer - across the board. But honestly, very close in sounds, and they all sound amazing to me. Of course... the amazing playing helps.

Question: At 6:24 (the MG-30 with Plexi settings) the guitarsound goes from almost clean to overdriven. Is that you rolling of the guitarvolume or is it you playing with less attac on the strings so the ampsimulator cleans up the sound? If it is the ampsimulator that reacts to pickingforce then that is bloody amazing. Nice vid. Greetings from Sweden
The Nux MG-30 has a virtual "bias" button in the amp section, which emulates the amp's dynamics.
The mg 30 with SG guitar sounds like the angus tone ...and sounds best for me .I've got the mg30. ... Analog digital 32 bit
Mooer sounds good, Ampero is a bit boxed like harley benton (they look alike). Nux mg 30 the best, as simulation, dynamics. Feels like listening to a real amp.
Achtung...Leider funktioniert der Midi Ausgang HB DNA FX Pro nicht mit dem Marshall JVM. Support und Thomann können nicht helfen
For me ampero and MG-30.
For Thomann ; we need the same video with Valeton GP200 or GP200LT and other with Ampero ii Stomp, Headrush MX5, line6 Pod Go and Line6 HX stomp.
Aren’t they all the same thing with different look?
They all look eerily similar.
I with we had a open hardware platform for all audio and then all the effect are software and interchangeable.
I'm a fan of the mg 30 but the mooer ge200 sounds incredibly good!

Everything except the Harley Benton sounded pretty good to me. Harley Benton has the required frequencies somewhere else.
Mooer GE-200 and HoTone MP-80 was the best sounding ones, MP-80 was overall winner though. MG-30 was pretty loose sounding and DNAfx GiT Pro was the worse of the bunch. Not a bad sounding but compared to others it was the most dull and artificial sounding. I think if they used better IRs in cab simulation this problem would be fixed.
Just got the NU-X MG30 and I am soo dissapointed at the sound. Everything sound like its coming out of a telephone lying on the table. So my question is: How much post eqing is applied to these soundclips? Cause even if I replicate each patch as I see them on the screen, it still sound like shit where I am sitting. And, yes I am using desent speakers and I´ve been in the guitar world since the -90´s. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Hotone is good in character and clarity but missing power in mid and low frequencies.
Mg-30 sometimes too sparkly, but overall sound very close to real hardware (only 5050 sounds like fuzz). DNA sounds normally.
NUX found bugs in the SLO and VIVO (5150) models in firmware 3.1.7. There is a beta (3.2.2) which fixes this models

Anyone knows if it is worth to upgrade my rp500 to one of those? Is the sound quality difference significant?
I don't own any of these processors but I am saying this with confidence that between Nux, Mooer or Hotone any of these processors are going to be miles ahead, at least due to the impulse responses alone. Modelling has undergone tremendous improvement over the past 10 years. I am basing this on my experience with Zoom G3x, reviews online, and my desktop Bias Amp/Fx - impulse responses are making such a huge difference to authenticity, expressiveness and livelihood of sound.
@@Andrey.Balandin Thanks for the reply kind sir! Yes irs do make a difference and that is probably why mfx do not compete much for cab simulations, since everyone's using custom irs. I will probably take a new mfx when I find a job and earn a few salaries.

What's the build quality like on the nux mg-30 compared to the mooer?
@@BlazertronGames i cant speak on the mooer.. but the mg30 is almost entirely made of metal. ive owned for a little over a year. and taken it all over, and had 0 issues.
I can tell for sure to all of you guys if it's ampero one vs mg30, ampero one wins by far (I have both)

Nu-X MG30 sounded clearest and best amp tone for me.
The Nux MG30 on all, sounds truly exceptional, glad I bought it. Weakest for me was the Moor, The Hotone Amepro was close behind the Nux MG30. The Harley Benton was surprisingly goo but the sound was in the end more realistic and richer and more polished/clarity with the NUX MG30. Listened on Audio Techinca M50 and studio Roland studio monitors and through my Yamaha THR 3011 stereo amp. I have been in and out of studio for decades and not sponsored by any means. If Nux brought out a newer model in the future, I would like to see on it at least 3 or 2 double processors to help with more atmospheric or synth type effects, looper memories and dual, triple effects at the same time, no need for the touch screen as it is a truly excellent piece of engineering with already a Steller sound. Yes, I would pay more for these features and I am sure many others would too!
I've just purchased a Nux MG30 and was inspired by your take on it versus the others. Using regular headphones to listen, I felt like the Nux was quite a bit brighter sounding than the others and made a mental note to back off on some of the high end freqs to seek a more mid range sound. I don't know, maybe the higher freqs make it sound better in a mix.

Quite funny how personal opinion works. The MG-30 seems to have a lot of supporters, I would put it last... that's life. It seems to me the Ampero has a wider sound, more articulate.

Yo lo escucho exactamente al revés.. Cada amplificador de nux tiene mucho carácter.... Yo tenia la mooer y es una gran pedalera creo que cada una tiene lo suyo pero a mi entender la nux la supera en materia de simulación.

The Harley Benton sounded the warmest, less digital fuzziness
indiscutiblemente la ampero one es la que mejor sonido tiene en todas las categorias,exelentes limpios crunch y hi gains, sin duda esta compite con pedaleras de mas alta gama como pod go o head rush, incluso a mi pareser sigue sonando mejor la ampero estas 2 ultimas, la mooer aun que podria ser la 2da mejor las distorsiones ni hi gain me convences, es un sonido muy crudoo y se alcansa a notar digital, los limpios son muy buenos, naturales claros y cristalinos pero del crunch y hi gain no hablemos por que deja mucho que decear, y la nux y la benton son muy paresidas, creo que estas estan en una gama mas baja que la ampero y la mooer y se escucha a leguas el sonido de mas baja calidad, todo suena como muy encajonado, entiendo que esta muy de moda la nux y hay mucha gente que la tiene pero se sigue escuchando varata, es decir de poca calidad las emulaciones y sobretodo las distorsen fin , no digo que ninguna sea mala pero aqui la ganadora sin duda es la ampero
Si de hecho en sonido es el mejor pero en Vivo me gusta mas la nux por su simpleza y en sonido suena increible con irs
