Good to hear there is no issue with heat management. 50/50 tires will be good to add as well. I ride my 900 SS hard offroad already, so changing tires will be important on this bike.

Beside Ducati Scrambler, this is one of the best looking scrambler. It has right amount of power and torque and other feature.. well made scrambler for me..!! Sadly i'm a short guy i can't even tip toe any scrambler.. 😅😅 i even tip toe on Expulse 200 standard version one.. 😅😅

The power and torque are amazing the front end can be pulled up without much effort in 1st 2nd and just a little bit in 3rd gear too
Amazing bike for beginners.. terrifying for sure.. thrilling very much.. easy and fun - absolutely spot on!!

If an analog meter had to be given, why not give a tachometer as analog and speedo as digital. It would have still kept the classic look while giving accurate readings for speed. But.. it's a beautiful bike ❤

Great review thanks I like the details you bring up...may i ask in regards to touring do you think the vibrations in the seat, pegs and handlebars would be too much for a 4-6 hour day riding at 100-130km and hour riding? We get them in Thailan din January so i a hoping to find out real world touring info...is it basically the same as other modern single cylinder bikes vibration wise? thanks again

The handguards breaking easily is expected to be honest, almost all handguards that come standard on adventure bikes break almost immediately after the first fall even on higher end motorcycles like an Africa Twin, its a bit disappointing to see that they didn't include at least a folding shift lever Since they vouch that its a scrambler but if the shaft has the same number of splines as the street twin a CRF150 shift lever would fit.

Nice area to ride! Brush guards are silly., especially since they put the mirrors so high along with them.Taking those off mine and putting on bar end mirrors. This and playing around with the exhaust. Maybe V&H will make a dual muffler, and open it up.

I just have only question does having the scrambler tag compromises on the overall fun factor of the bike as compared to speed 400. I’m really confused between these two. I want a bike which can do good both in Ladakh while also being fun in the city.

    1. I want to get the PPF Coating on tank, should i get it done from showroom or karol bagh ?
    2. Mine is giving 17 kms per litre average is same case happened with you ?
    3. If I install the extra light from karol bagh or any other after market, Will the 5 year warranty become void ?
    4. In rainfall season whole my back suspension and tyres gets muddy , what should I install ?
    5. In rainy season the chain gets dry just bajaj thing which lubricant should i use ?

Not that big of a deal but yeah if you use 85 octane petrol then the engine will have a knocking probelm. 95 octane is good enough.

RON or AKI. Regular pump fuel here in Sweden is 95 octane however that's in RON, in AKI (popular in USA etc.) That's ekvivalent to approximately 91-92 octane.

You can tour on any bike, even monkey bikes. The 400X with it's riding position will be ideal, add a rack and your good to go!

Ofcourse this is a good touring motorcycle. Upright riding position, good clearance, comfy seats ... and a lot more, which helps long-distance touring.

Hey man! As Honda has reduced the price of CB300r by 40k, and now it's almost at par with Speed 400. Now, Between CB300r and Speed 400 what's your pick? And why?

I would say be it spec wise , fit and finish or real world performance ,i would recommend speed 400 over Cb300r .Cb300r is an old product which is clearly showing its age and honda knows it too hence the price reduction. But i am advocate of test it before you buy it .Happy riding

If you're looking for refinement and a tried-and-tested engine, go for a Honda. If you want more power and the ability to carry a passenger on small tours, consider the Speed 400.
