If an analog meter had to be given, why not give a tachometer as analog and speedo as digital. It would have still kept the classic look while giving accurate readings for speed. But.. it's a beautiful bike ❤
How are gear shifts? I test rode the bike at two places. Both the test bikes had very hard gear shifts, one of the bike was only ridden for 350 km and other was around 2200.
Nice area to ride! Brush guards are silly., especially since they put the mirrors so high along with them.Taking those off mine and putting on bar end mirrors. This and playing around with the exhaust. Maybe V&H will make a dual muffler, and open it up.

For 90% road use, 400X is good. Quality equipment, lighter, smaller, and easier to ride. If you plan to ride longer off-road trails, or you need more luggage carrying capacity, consider Adv 390.
Consistent complaint about speed 400 was vibrations above 80kph. Its definitely not a great touring bike if its the same with this. You did mention vibrations.
@iamstrell That's a good review👏 Xan you brief about suspension set up in this bike, is it okay to ride with mot much movements or is the suspension stiff?
The handguards breaking easily is expected to be honest, almost all handguards that come standard on adventure bikes break almost immediately after the first fall even on higher end motorcycles like an Africa Twin, its a bit disappointing to see that they didn't include at least a folding shift lever Since they vouch that its a scrambler but if the shaft has the same number of splines as the street twin a CRF150 shift lever would fit.
I just have only question does having the scrambler tag compromises on the overall fun factor of the bike as compared to speed 400. I’m really confused between these two. I want a bike which can do good both in Ladakh while also being fun in the city.
@@AMRITPALSINGH-xo6dz Ohh I'll be sticking with the Scrambler. But if someone wants a very responsive agile bike on the road, are okay with the ground clearance, they can choose the speed. For me, I love to go fast on roads but that's not the only thing I want!
Will equipping the bike with crash guards protect gear shift lever from bending? I was also concerned about leaning with the vehicle. I test rode the vehicle myself earlier this week and I wasn’t put in a situation that required me to corner or lean. I’m a 6”2 beginner and I’m a little afraid of being unable to lean or lean too much. Any tips ?
No saddle stay above the exhaust is an issue. without using an shorter exh., it would be difficult to install saddle stay and might even cause weight imbalance
Strell bro are you the one that broke the brake lever of the one bike that came at Triumph Pashan Pune? Hahaha I went 2-3 days ago and the brake lever and the gaurds were broken!
