They had to these are 30k ultramarines and while not like the salamanders still did care about humanity. Those ultramarines through themselves infront of those fleeing civilians and truly lived up to being the bulwark of mankind.

Love that scene starting at 1:23. Gives a very good perspective of being a civilian in this battle. You are not but a bug surrounded by fighting towering demi-gods Many of which will chop you down, only to get you out of the way, and sometimes the "good" guys will do that too if they deem it necessary. Terrifying stuff. Love it!

@@wienerschnitzel186 not entirely true this is 30k not 40k and if I remember correctly a lot ultramarines on Calth which this is based off of were trying to get civilians to safety the guy who would become the first chapter master of the doom eagles had gone out of his way to rescue a child and get them out.

Bro this is so good, you captured the speed and strenght of them incredibly. I especialy think at 1:54 when the world eater runs at the woman then gets whacked is one of the major highlights of capturing the essance of a space marine. That and those sexxy terminators

This wasn't the Battle of Calth, it could be some planet distant from Calth.
Note that this battle pits the Ultramarines and Imperial Fists against the Word Bearers and World Eaters. Not one, but two Loyalists and two Traitors.
This isn’t Calth. This is just one of the many worlds during Lorgar and Angron’s Shadow Crusade. They razed so many of the 500 worlds of Ultramar and so that Lorgar could fuel Angron’s forced “ascension” to daemonhood.

This is not the Battle of Calth. Calth mainly puts the Ultramarines against the Word Bearers. In Death of Hope, the Ultramarines and Imperial Fists are against both Word Bearers and World Eaters.

The official GW animations involve GW's marketing spending big money hiring a studio, negotiating its rates, availability & scope. That all costs money. Then theres more money spent on revisions & feedback. Fastword 12+ months, 6 figure$ in and you get a warhammer short released on warhammer+ to recoup the investment.

What your describing is an immediate profit focus, which is what big corporations do because they stay big, this inevitably ends in their fall in any just society, unfortunately democracy (capitalist or communist) is inherently injust and so money and resources are king, leading to bigger power organisations being exactly as you described corporations being (governments act the exact same in their position, contrary to the woke bastards beliefs). Learn to admit that what your describing is an issue with democracy and any society where anyone can do anything with enough money and connections.

My credentials; 10+ in the the film and tv industry, as both a freelance and on staff hire. Lots of great ideas were lost to budget & revenue making decisions. The real enemy is GW when they control and restrict fan made content. Why? As to bring it on to their for profit platform, Warhammer+. See the pattern?
