My only pieces of constructive criticism are that the footsteps and track sound effects could be more deep and impactful, and that something felt a little off about the Astartes walk cycle. Can’t quite put my finger on it.
I’ve noticed there’s a recent trend of ‘modernizing’ the aesthetic or equipment of the Imperium in fanworks. A lot of recent depictions fall more in line with the crispness of ALIEN or real equipment, and it’s kind of interesting how they mix it with the gothic architecture of ships and cities. I’ve seen the same in an ARMA machinima and Astartes. It’s a sort of more grounded take that still had a distinct Imperial touch to it, and I like it.

yyyyyessssssss so good wonderfull work !!! i love the space marine and the general embiance!!
Glad you like it!
I can smell GW's hands vaulting this masterpiece right away. 😢
Yeah, i think we're all already hearing G-Dubbs doing practice swings with the copyright hammer in the background. A shame.
Fantastic, agree that the marines need a bit more weight to their movement audio but I'm so excited to see more.
I like the little details on the shoulder pads, it really brings it to life!
If only GW had animators as good as their lawyers. Enjoy this while it lasts, lads and ladies.
Hieno avaus! Odotan jatkoa.

Tekeekö Suomalainen tätä sarjaa?
I am speechless... hence commenting for the algo! Great job!
SM: " Is this gonna be a standup fight, sir, or another bug hunt? "
By the Emperor this looks great! The question on everyones mind is when will we get blessed with more?
Hi! Thank you! I will be releasing a couple of lore videos in the upcoming months. Next year I’m planning on releasing the second short film if everything goes according to plan!
The most realistic WH40K video I’ve seen yet - as in how I picture the Astartes ships and vehicles to look and operate. Thank you for your efforts.
Just search for "Astartes", first hit, here on youtube to see the most realistic WH40K animation ever done, and the one that this one tries to imitate.
Excellent visual quality... Keeping the dream alive!
Someone needs to get Arch to react to this.
“We will be watching your career with great interest”
This is the best space marine animations i have seen since the Astartes fan animations stopped.
That arm-pit swipe finisher is really effective
"every classic got a cheap copy."
this.
The Emperor shined brightly though this one. Excellent work @warheads
1:36 this tank be drifting like fast and furious
Love this animation, and the way you've married realism and a more "cartoony" artstyle--it works really well for 40K! Can't wait to see more.
Man I really miss those helmets
The space marine got that GMOD missing texture kneecap
I agree their movements look off but remember they posted this out of love for the genre, constructive criticism goes a long way to get better art. Their art will improve with more experience in the genre so please be kind and patient. I can't wait to see the next video and see how far they has moved past the first release. Great work please keep it up! 👍
So good. Keep up the incredible work.
Thanks for keeping fan animations alive! Absolutely love the scenery, all the machine glows and lightning . Beautifully done
Can't wait for the next episode! What a tease! 🔥
Literally blessed by the God Emperor.
This is awesome! I cant wait to see more! The Emperor protects!
Supporting current GW:👎
Supporting Grimdark creators:👍
i love the details/interpretations you added, the brace mechanism for marines, the pilot having a modified armor, transporter variant thunderhawks. the voidships and the landraider also look beautiful, looks futuristic without deviating too much from 40k.
good job
My god, this looks and sounds incredible! Also a Dark Angels successor chapter?! be still my beating heart, our prayers have been answered! For the Lion & for the Emperor!
Whoever does the graphics for these videos, they deserve some serious praise, it looks absolutely mint. Thank you for sharing your talents with us and making something we can all enjoy. Sincere thanks from a long time fan of everything warhammer 😁
This is the stealthiest deployment of Space Marines I've ever seen lmao love it
The raven guard: …..the fuck man
Oh boy a fan made cinematic I sure hope this doesn’t get taken down
WOW! This far exceeded my wildest expectations. This is one of the best looking 40k fan animations I’ve ever seen. Great sound design too.
My only pieces of constructive criticism are that the footsteps and track sound effects could be more deep and impactful, and that something felt a little off about the Astartes walk cycle. Can’t quite put my finger on it.
40k is all about successors, I'm locked in.
The dystopian music was the perfect choice mate.
