Spun this entire live CD when I rode a bus into NYC at dawn on a bus for the first time. Snow falling as the sun rose and I entered the city. Nothing like it ever since.
... been married to music for 65 years now ... have loved so many compositions ... but clearly this epic sonic poem by Mogwai is one of the best pieces of music i have ever heard ...
Eric. Cool you found it! Nearly 50 years since I bought my first record and they’re right up there. Been lucky enough to have seen them perform it live twice. The last time was third row at the Sydney Opera House - amazing. Hope you get to see them when things settle down.

Mogwai at their best. I missed this pure dark post tunes. Now, they dived in electronics and emerged into sub pop. So glad and lucky that i attended at their last performance, before "hardcore will never die, but you will"

I tend to associate tunes to particular emotions, moods, feelings or situations. This tracks dances its ups and downs, rawness and harmonies to something much more complex. It echoes the experience of life.
Mogwai is my Favourite band, they are a voice a legend to life through sound and its never complete.
I think this fantastic in every detail. An explosion of emotion and strength.

I saw Mogwai at the Henry Fonda Theater in LA almost 10 years ago and it was one of the most amazing live shows I've ever seen.
Flew from Kentucky to Portland a few weeks ago to witness these guys live. Absolutely mindblowing.

I am convinced some of guitar play is heavily inspired by Lou Reed's and John Cale's - Forever Changed. Starts around 5 minute mark. So gritty man, works well too.
Without Jonnie Greenwood there wouldn't be the tremolo picking in this music. Why are fans of the VU so myopic? You stuck in the past?

After I saw this vid I pre-ordered one of the packages. No questions. This is the best live footage of any band I have seen. This DvD will take me back in time and put me in a much more peaceful place than this.
I've seen a lot of great bands, but I don't think any gig has affected me as much as when I saw mogwai last year. The atmosphere they created was intense.
