I feel no pain when I listen to this. Sometimes I cry when I listen to this. I don't see any un-wanted images, no abuse, and no past mistakes can be found when I listen to this. I'm free. I'm fucking free.
Respect and my condoleances. He choosed the most beautifull and intense song their is. Dont wanna go but if I when I do this song is the last which will be played and rememberd. I've known this from the first time i've listenend to it. Take care!
I remember how fucking LOUD they played this song and "my father my king" back in the days. So loud that some people left because it hurts the ears. 😅 Just LOVED it.
My first fav post rock band is Explosions In The Sky, but when i hear Mogwai...it is obvious that this band has more rich experimental sound. And when they came to Bangkok last year, it's like eargasm for me :)
I saw them play this song live in Nashville back in 2014, it was beautiful. It was my first time I heard that song actually and what better way to hear it. Cheers everybody.
First time i heard these guys was "Like Herod" in the campground at Phish's millennial shows at the Big Cypress Seminole Reservation in Florida. A friend put it on really loud and lulled this whole area..and well, eventually Like Herod kicked in the way it does and you saw so much acid turn on people at the same time. It was lovely.
It touches every nerve in my body. The soft as well as the aggressive ones. My body shivers to this song and I must listen to the whole track once I´ve put it on. like a tix ;)
This song is just like an hymn. As a football fan It sounds like a football anthem, but also can be a scottish landscapes experimentation. This makes think of some kind of rise and fall of Life , beginning slow to and extreme vitality at teenage and progresively turns back into slowness till the end and death... This song is the reflection of Life. Congratulations mates !
Wow, that's crazy, me too..... My sincere condolences stranger. The first time I heard this song was a religious experience for me, brought me closer to God than I had ever been before, showed me exactly what kind of music I wanted to make myself. Again, my sympathies....
You really should.. and bring earplugs, so you can hear later on. =o) Don't do what I did, 5 ft from the stage w/o ear protection. Everything was a muffled mess for 2 days.
Yap. In 2010 the band released their first live film "Burning" and live album "Special Moves". "Burning" contains eight tracks from the band's Brooklyn shows during their 2008/2009 American tour, whilst "Special Moves" adds nine more tracks from the same source. :)
Oh it was gorgeousness and gorgeosity made flesh. The trombones crunched redgold under my bed, and behind my gulliver the trumpets three-wise silverflamed, and there by the door the timps rolling through my guts and out again crunched like candy thunder. Oh, it was wonder of wonders. And then, a bird of like rarest spun heavenmetal, or like silvery wine flowing in a spaceship, gravity all nonsense now, came the violin solo above all the other strings, and those strings were like a cage of silk round my bed. Then flute and oboe bored, like worms of like platinum, into the thick thick toffee gold and silver. I was in bliss my brothers.
This is sooo good .. this was the highlights of their gig i saw last week ! This gig was not so good actually .. Almost everything from the last album, which really isn't great. I had seen them couples years ago and was completely blown away ! This time, bit disappointed, but still were some huge moments with Hunted by a Freak, Christmas Steps, Batcat and of course THIS !
That song is called "Batcat", only someone changed title with sentence from the song "Yes! I Am a Long Way from Home" from the first Mogwai album, probably because the "Batcat" in that video begins with loop from that song. :)
@coryleblanc sounds like the organ harmony for scotland's shame, and then it goes into 'Music for a Forgotten Future' from the 'Hardcore will never die' album
It sounds a little like Scottland's Shame. But then shortly after, there's some notes from Music from a Forgotten Future - which if you've never heard, you certainly should do that now.
I feel no pain when I listen to this. Sometimes I cry when I listen to this. I don't see any un-wanted images, no abuse, and no past mistakes can be found when I listen to this. I'm free. I'm fucking free.
Powerful words my friend. May you always be free…
My ex just died and this was the song he wanted played at his memorial. It will always be your song Daniel Cline.
I hope his wish was granted. Such a beautiful song. Sorry for your loss : (

bluetews unbelievably powerful and profound choice. All the best...
That straight up just made me cry. Condolences on your loss.
May he rest in peace, condolences for your loss.
One of the most powerful pieces of music written IMO.
Seeing Mogwai live is a real life experience. This song is awesome. This song is a therapy. A monument.
I remember how fucking LOUD they played this song and "my father my king" back in the days. So loud that some people left because it hurts the ears. 😅
Just LOVED it.
anthem of my life anthem of a generation, it makes me cry and smile at the same time.
It touches my soul everytime.
That's a beautiful song. I've been listening to it since it came out, and I will listen to it for the rest of my life.
You still listen to it? 🌌
@@josegalvan_TT yes ;)

Your eardrums didnt explode?
You can transcend... no words needed.. this is your platform in order for you to reach a higher level of consciousness

This just made my year. I have listened to Mogwai for years but for some reason I never heard this track. It practically made my chest explode.
That sounds painful, you should get some help.
That's the holy spirit. Whatever you are thinking of at the time and you at one time asked, truth was your answer
this is one of the most beautiful tunes I've ever listened to
One of the best songs ever, Mogwai are the greatest.
I'd give my life such as it is to see them play this live, beautiful. I think I would be complete after this.
My first time hearing this song. Interpol's Untitled used to be my favorite song of all time. But this song just has it all. Bravo

i remember i was crying when they played that song in italy on july the 7. best group. thank you, thank you mogwai for all you make
Mogwai saved my fucking life.
Mogwai will never die but you will.
Tuve la oportunidad de verlos en el 2007 en Málaga ( España ) y realmente me marcó, son unos enormes músicos. Un abrazo a todos
this song belongs to another world .... I like it so much
great song.. great album.. great band
Beautiful Boy 😢🌌
best song of all time.
Wow, that's crazy, me too..... My sincere condolences stranger. The first time I heard this song was a religious experience for me, brought me closer to God than I had ever been before, showed me exactly what kind of music I wanted to make myself. Again, my sympathies....
this is real music
Mogwai forever !
is it just me or do they know EXACTLY which songs sound best in black and white?
Beautiful Boy 👍🏽
This is so damn good. Sends shivers down my spine.
Saw Mogwai back in 2003 at the Soundhouse in Northampton, can't belive that was 14 years ago!
UGH I NEED TO SEE THEM LIVE
You really should.. and bring earplugs, so you can hear later on. =o)
Don't do what I did, 5 ft from the stage w/o ear protection. Everything was a muffled mess for 2 days.
Saw them in south cali for their rave tapes release. Got a bucket list item done early, made room for another. See Mogwai twice.
This song is born to be on an ending of a movie!
It's on Beautiful Boy!
Or the begining of beautiful boy. Lol
best postrock song ever
amen to that brother. It's either Helicon or Storm by Godspeed You! Black Emperor.
Aye...but what is ‘post rock’ except a music journo pidgeon hole? It’s fucking Mogwai, Glasgow’s finest
easily

.just a beautifully engaging piece of music

Este tema me chifla, fff pelos de punta... Magníficos Mogwai!!!
Fucking amazing, just amazing.

Une bombe ce titre 😘
I'm so high..
I love you, Mogwai.
Yes, I am a long way from home Maria. 🤗
Mogwai is Art
This is insane!!
Spettacolo! Mia neo e casuale scoperta ☀️
I love how the audience stays quite untill the very last note... thats the magical thing at mogwai concerts
@coryleblanc Sounds a lot like, Scotland's Shame, which is also on the dvd, "Burning"
masterpiece
@coryleblanc sounds like the organ harmony for scotland's shame, and then it goes into 'Music for a Forgotten Future' from the 'Hardcore will never die' album

It sounds a little like Scottland's Shame. But then shortly after, there's some notes from Music from a Forgotten Future - which if you've never heard, you certainly should do that now.
sounds like sunrise
YES
Hunted by a freak's my favourite
Yes! I'm a long way from home.
@coryleblanc
I don't know. It sound me like a some kind variation of "I'm Jim Morrison, I'm Dead"
@topicdejan yes indeed , its a piece of the introduction of im jim morrison im dead
Do you think he uses 2 delay pedals for that tremolo guitar sound starting at 1:30??
great concert
as close to a religious experience you will get
what is the song playing in the intro?
Sounds like I'm Jim Morrison, I'm dead, though I'm not sure.
the piano one is "Music for a Forgotten Future"
What's that guy's hand doing at 5:28?
MALDITO PERRO PODER¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
wow...
dat bass
I am the freak and the hunter but I wasn't hunting anyone in mogwai, they're not cool enough to stalk anymore.
Nice dream with God
Ever since I saw this my #1 fetish in life is how tenderly Dominic fingers that guitar. Sorry but it’s true.
🥰🥰🥰🥰
Really not feeling this, compared to 'hunted by a freak'
