I think its more bizzare that you said releasing mid january 2024 but you post in in June ? WTF ? I think achievements sent you brainless. Also achievements are pointless and a waste of life.
Finlay doesn't trigger the Body Count achievement anymore, however there's a corpse at the same location that does the trick, It's at the right side of her as you walk the progression path. 2:36:41 Apparently they changed it in update 1.3.
***UPDATE*** Bodycount achievement, the final body is now found just a few metres to the right of Finley's mangled corpse, you will need to interact with it after the dialogue with Finley ends. It's a male & is wearing blue overalls & a yellow hard hat. This was added in the latest patch. Thank you Maka for your content 😜

Another amazing guide, Maka. One of the phone calls didn't track for me along the way at first, so when our percentages didn't match I had a small panic attack. But at the next phone, the tracker caught back up and it was smooth sailing from there! Thanks for all you do!
I finished the game 2 days ago and i love it. The atmosphere, graphics and sound design is awesome but i don't get all achievements. Now with your guide it's going to be way easier. Love your guide videos, cheers mate !!

You are awesome, I was totally stuck on the electrical hazards (the IGN walkthrough is both incomplete and missing crucial information I found out much too late, but since it popped up first I thought no one on YT had done a guide yet). After getting the lift glitch and giving up on the game for like a week, finally found someone on Steam that knew the workaround I needed and was finally able to finish the first playthrough. Then had to do it again to mop up. Thought I was mopping up that stupid 1GS achievement, but NOPE! So third playthrough, luckily thanks to you I finally got it done (that hanging light and random wire after the roof collapse I had never even registered). Thanks Maka!
WARNING: The game has since been updated which made it so Finlay no longer counts towards Body Count, however the new final body is just across from him. You need to walk a few steps forward and then to the right by some debris to find the body. This is BEFORE you enter Derrick.

Thanks for the guide😊 If you are standing on the normal ladders, you can let go of R2 or RT. Then he slides down the ladder. Then you don't have to watch the whole animation of him sliding down the ladder. Just a little tip in case no one noticed 🙂 Greetings from Germany🤗
You missed the downed guy behind the door at the top of the stair to were the lever is to open up the way to jump down that tube, that drown guy counts towards the body count. If you don't get that one you're end up with one missing.
Played through myself and just had a small handful of achievements to do. I wasn’t paying much attention to the sprint thing as I wanted to get that on my second playthrough and just enjoy my first one but got it anyway so there’s probably more time than you think on that one! Fantastic game and as someone who lives in Scotland (don’t need no stinkin subtitles!) and whose grandfather worked on oil rigs it hit home and was very well done. Top class video as always! Ah, gutted I missed the bodies achievement. However will probably play through again. Loved this game, thought a lot of it was quite faithful to rigs, although I never started on the until 2000, still enjoyed the setting and the conversation. Thanks for the guide!
I have always enjoyed your guides whenever I need them, this was one of the rare times I ended up needing a full walkthrough to just make sure I picked up everything after playing through the game once normally. I would have been tearing my hair out over the second to last phone call, I NEVER heard it ringing. Thank you as always my guy, never give up your achievement hunting. I also really enjoyed this game's story, it reminded me a lot of The Colour Out of Space which is one of the HP Lovecraft stories people skip over, but my personal favorite of his works. The gameplay left a bit to be desired, but I tend to feel that way with a LOT of these types of horror games. SOMA was one of the few that I always felt did this style right, and also had an incredible story.

@Maka91Productions and everyone else, If you don't get the sailing by achievement in the laundry room as pointed out by Maka. There is a second encounter with the radio forecast pretty much at the very beginning of the Administration chapter. After answering the phone, you'll move the filing cabinet, immediately after that there is the second radio to your right see timestamp 1:10:44
I did my first playthrough without any guide but saw there was that sprint less than 10 minutes, probably sprinted a good bit in beginning but once I saw that kept it at minimum, still managed to get the achievement, 10 minutes was quite a generous amount. That was good I got to at least experience game normally, now using the guide to play mop-up on the few things I missed. And since I already got the walking simulator achievement not being restricted is definitely helping me keep pace without need pause/rewind video.
fyi at 1:10:00 you can also interact with the light switch in the room with the fire extinguisher. So the light switch at the beginning of the game isn't your only opportunity in case you miss it

Hey Maka really appreciate these guides but I definitely think this one needs a re-upload. Like many others I missed the body at 1:45 because both before and after that door you tried to open multiple locked doors and said it was locked. There wasn't anything to indicate that the door at 1:45 was actually a body.
for some reason when you do your 2nd check of achievements you have more good with Leccy than me, and you get a bunch suddenly after you die to the hanging light (first electrical hazard death), when you respawn you just bam suddenly get some more I didn't for some reason. Also right before the heli crash where you get that achievement, you shimmy, well instead of heading up towards the heli you can walk around and see the area you walked on prior near the start of the game, the walkway is gone, if you jump off it into the sea that also counts as 1 for the Fathom Five, and jumping off the helipad after the crash also counts even though it's like 15 feet from the prior jump. So you can get that achievement a wee bit earlier.
2:43:00 the Body Count achievement is bugged, it will not trigger after finlay's death. But there's another corpse on the right side just a few steps a head of finlay. Interact with it to get the achievement instead.
Dude, you made me burst out laughing so many times. You kept calling main character's fighting with his wife (which game shows like 40% of the times) "stories from his childhood", that was so hilarious. Like, damn man, you beat this game 2-3 times for 100% and you didn't realise the main story point? That's really funny. Also the phantom / fathom thing and after you said "you can just choose for yourself how you wanna call it, haha", was really genuine and funny moment. Cheers!
Having a Scottish wife and having Scottish ancestry, this game is so fun playing on my channel, the voice acting is so on point that some characters sound a lot like my family and friends do! And the sheer anxiety this game gives me is unreal even when nothing happens I'm just sat there freaking out in a corner!

Finished twice now and body count is at 94%… I noticed I was missing one before finding most of the bodies near the end game. Not sure if it’s not counting the one automatic body in the water section or one of the 3 bodies at the start

Great guide as always I was bricking it for the entire game as the 'normal' walking speed seemed a bit fast to me and kept wondering if I had pressed the left stick in too much. Popped ok but stressful.
Note : skiping phone call count toward the phone, and you miss one guy its phill at 1:45:37 to the door on the left side, you cant open it but can interact whit the door and you can see phill whit count toward your friend death!
Thanks for the guide Maka! Shame the game wasn't the best. Trailer made it look like a horror with some potential but as the achievement it literally felt like a walking simulator
The part where you have to get away from the monster, i played that part dying many times couldn’t figure out how to get away, thanks for this walk though it helped a lot.
I felt so pathetic at 23:15 and almost gave up on the game completely - but the quick time response just REFUSED to work for me - so I gave it a day then googled it and found out that I was not alone - sooo For those having trouble like me with the ladder jump and then the QT response not registering no matter how hard you try, I got it on my first attempt when I just did the jump and climb and held Left Trigger ALSO for the QT action BEFORE it shook and prompted me to - and it worked like a charm. Good luck. Hope this helps at least one person who was as frustrated as me, or saves you an hour of frustration in the first place if doing it the regular way doesn’t work on your initial attempt, just give this method a try

Has anyone else had an issue with Body Count? I have played through twice now. My tracking differed from Maka’s either with the underwater body or the two that float up when the water flows into the room. After both play throughs my tracking is still stuck at 94%
how is nobody else twitching every time Maka says "phantom" for "fathom"? I'm seeing him at a family gathering and saying "hello Phanter, how are you and Moter?" 🤪 really useful video, but I can't phantom why he'd keep saying that...

For some reason when you jump into the water at 37:23 I decided to sprint leap across to other side of broken platform there and got my last missing greased Scotsman action, for whatever action that was. Pretty sure I've done this action at other places on first playthrough in sprint before so not sure why it finally counted here.
Id been so mad if id seen that spoiler at 2:20:05!!!!!!!! You need to give a verbal warning for huge story spoiler cut scenes like this... so it doesn't ruin it for somebody. Great video otherwise and appreciated!!!

Great guide ! Although I’d recommend maybe adding a disclaimer about the body at 1:45:30 . I have a sneaking suspicion that’s the body everyone else is missing since only your timestamp mentions it being a body

Ah, gutted I missed the bodies achievement. However will probably play through again. Loved this game, thought a lot of it was quite faithful to rigs, although I never started on the until 2000, still enjoyed the setting and the conversation. Thanks for the guide!

I have always enjoyed your guides whenever I need them, this was one of the rare times I ended up needing a full walkthrough to just make sure I picked up everything after playing through the game once normally. I would have been tearing my hair out over the second to last phone call, I NEVER heard it ringing.

I also really enjoyed this game's story, it reminded me a lot of The Colour Out of Space which is one of the HP Lovecraft stories people skip over, but my personal favorite of his works. The gameplay left a bit to be desired, but I tend to feel that way with a LOT of these types of horror games. SOMA was one of the few that I always felt did this style right, and also had an incredible story.

@Maka91Productions and everyone else, If you don't get the sailing by achievement in the laundry room as pointed out by Maka. There is a second encounter with the radio forecast pretty much at the very beginning of the Administration chapter. After answering the phone, you'll move the filing cabinet, immediately after that there is the second radio to your right see timestamp 1:10:44
I did my first playthrough without any guide but saw there was that sprint less than 10 minutes, probably sprinted a good bit in beginning but once I saw that kept it at minimum, still managed to get the achievement, 10 minutes was quite a generous amount. That was good I got to at least experience game normally, now using the guide to play mop-up on the few things I missed. And since I already got the walking simulator achievement not being restricted is definitely helping me keep pace without need pause/rewind video.
fyi at 1:10:00 you can also interact with the light switch in the room with the fire extinguisher. So the light switch at the beginning of the game isn't your only opportunity in case you miss it

Hey Maka really appreciate these guides but I definitely think this one needs a re-upload. Like many others I missed the body at 1:45 because both before and after that door you tried to open multiple locked doors and said it was locked. There wasn't anything to indicate that the door at 1:45 was actually a body.

for some reason when you do your 2nd check of achievements you have more good with Leccy than me, and you get a bunch suddenly after you die to the hanging light (first electrical hazard death), when you respawn you just bam suddenly get some more I didn't for some reason.
Also right before the heli crash where you get that achievement, you shimmy, well instead of heading up towards the heli you can walk around and see the area you walked on prior near the start of the game, the walkway is gone, if you jump off it into the sea that also counts as 1 for the Fathom Five, and jumping off the helipad after the crash also counts even though it's like 15 feet from the prior jump. So you can get that achievement a wee bit earlier.
2:43:00 the Body Count achievement is bugged, it will not trigger after finlay's death. But there's another corpse on the right side just a few steps a head of finlay. Interact with it to get the achievement instead.
Thanks for the great guide. The only trouble I had was with the greased Scotsman achievement but then I realised that holding LT helped with that.

Dude, you made me burst out laughing so many times. You kept calling main character's fighting with his wife (which game shows like 40% of the times) "stories from his childhood", that was so hilarious. Like, damn man, you beat this game 2-3 times for 100% and you didn't realise the main story point? That's really funny. Also the phantom / fathom thing and after you said "you can just choose for yourself how you wanna call it, haha", was really genuine and funny moment. Cheers!

Having a Scottish wife and having Scottish ancestry, this game is so fun playing on my channel, the voice acting is so on point that some characters sound a lot like my family and friends do! And the sheer anxiety this game gives me is unreal even when nothing happens I'm just sat there freaking out in a corner!

Finished twice now and body count is at 94%… I noticed I was missing one before finding most of the bodies near the end game. Not sure if it’s not counting the one automatic body in the water section or one of the 3 bodies at the start
Were you on track during all the achievement checks? An easy one to miss is at 1:45:35 when interacting with the locked door :(
Actually if u have 2 interact with the door near 1:45:35 that would be the one I’m missing 😂😅

I was bricking it for the entire game as the 'normal' walking speed seemed a bit fast to me and kept wondering if I had pressed the left stick in too much. Popped ok but stressful.
Note : skiping phone call count toward the phone, and you miss one guy its phill at 1:45:37 to the door on the left side, you cant open it but can interact whit the door and you can see phill whit count toward your friend death!
It's in the timestamps, but I didn't do a good job of saying it was mandatory in the video. Always follow the timestamps and UA-cam video chapters!

Thanks for the guide Maka! Shame the game wasn't the best. Trailer made it look like a horror with some potential but as the achievement it literally felt like a walking simulator
The part where you have to get away from the monster, i played that part dying many times couldn’t figure out how to get away, thanks for this walk though it helped a lot.
I felt so pathetic at 23:15 and almost gave up on the game completely - but the quick time response just REFUSED to work for me - so I gave it a day then googled it and found out that I was not alone - sooo For those having trouble like me with the ladder jump and then the QT response not registering no matter how hard you try, I got it on my first attempt when I just did the jump and climb and held Left Trigger ALSO for the QT action BEFORE it shook and prompted me to - and it worked like a charm. Good luck. Hope this helps at least one person who was as frustrated as me, or saves you an hour of frustration in the first place if doing it the regular way doesn’t work on your initial attempt, just give this method a try

Has anyone else had an issue with Body Count? I have played through twice now. My tracking differed from Maka’s either with the underwater body or the two that float up when the water flows into the room. After both play throughs my tracking is still stuck at 94%

For some reason when you jump into the water at 37:23 I decided to sprint leap across to other side of broken platform there and got my last missing greased Scotsman action, for whatever action that was. Pretty sure I've done this action at other places on first playthrough in sprint before so not sure why it finally counted here.
