My first playthrough was with the kid and he showed me a game he was making. I love how the game eventually was made into an arcade game on a second character later on and I was like "noo way"

I preferred not hitchhiking for most of the game, since it let me get more interactions and there are a few cool places you can see while walking. I really appreciated the game world a lot more after taking it more slowly, it meant my character had way more relations with the characters than if I’d skipped out by hitchhiking or stealing a car.
sorry if someone already pointed it out but when you're going over the lore at about 4 minutes into the video, those two are actually Sonya's brothers, you only really get to know this if you do their side missions and prevent Sonya's murder at the end, kind of an obscure detail, love the video though!
The UA-cam algorithm has blessed me with this hidden gem, i enjoyed this video quite a bit, hopefully it blows up too. You also introduced me to a pretty neat game so, thanks for that
I recently replayed it and did no hitchiking I think for all of the playthroughs and got everyone to the end. It becomes way easier once you have unlocked all the abilities as you have more energy and you can steal cars.

I'm curious about something... So every character encounters are random and come in random order, except for Zoe, which are in a set order, and end up in one of the teenagers reaching the border with her (it's where you have a choice to save her). However, one of the encounters happen during hitchhiking (the one with connect 4). So if you beat the game without hitchhiking does that mean that the final encounter will never happen? And if yes, will Zoe appear in the final cutscene with shooting the teenagers?
one of my encounters with zoe was during hitchhiking but it was much later in the story, just before you reach the boarder. I never got the connect 4 scene yet i still made it to the boarder with her. I think there are alternate scenes
@@MrJake701 when you select a kid, it tells you their method of travelling, you must avoid selecting a kid with "hitchhiking" method and it shouldn't happen.
Stan and Mitch are the best, however with the John scene I had it but it was in a desert. It’s cool that they made an alternative one for when you’re close to the border.
Great job on this and hopefully we see more of you. I recommend another vid or two of Road 96.. its such a youtube friendly game and you could show other sequences of events and maybe get you more subs. Great vibe, keep it up

I try to do it multiple Time and if sometimes it work, mort of the Time it won't because not only walkong take à lot of energy but it doesn't take you very far.
im pretty sure it is technically possible. both of the places you get by already having done all interactions with walking will give you 2 energy, which is enough to infinitely walk. not sure if this actually works, since maybe itll remove the energy sources, forcing you to hitchhike/call a bus/call a taxi. i have never tried this before, since it will take wayyy to long for me. so yeah, technically, possible. but maybe it will force you to do something else than walking

The steadiness in your voice along with the music is very soothing and I was feeling A bit nauseous just before I clicked up on your video from stupidily mixing drinks after a long day and it I realized it was completely gone midway through the video. I finished one "full run" yesterday and got all the epic achievements~ ngl my fav characters were the "bad guys" like Sonya, Jhon, stan & mitch. But I actually hated every time Zoe popped up on the screen like ur complaining about being ultra-rich and still choose the struggle??? Then again, I swear all the Zoe cut scene bits made me feel so UNimmersed, like out of all the pathways and choices I took, I was still stuck watching a life is strangle bootleg Chloe (>_>)
John and stan and mitch were for sure my favorites. It was always such a fun and cool interaction with them. I wasnt a big fan of zoe either. Ive never played life is strange before so idk who chloe is 😔. Maybe ill check it out sometime.
Funny thing, for whole game(which is 6 characters) i tried to avoid hitchhiking except if it was forced by game and always ended up with at least 100$ at the border.

This is one of my favourite games of all time, and I always play without hitchhiking as I love to explore on foot. It's possible to complete all 5 runs without hitchhiking iirc, but in order to get every interaction you have to hitchhike at some point. Sometimes it starts you in a hitchhiking scene though, but I do t count that as I never chose to hitchhike lol
If you sneak into a car, you're not a hitchhiker, you're a stowaway.

I got spawned into the connect 4 scene after choosing a new kid.
