This is for anyone who has ever found a home away from home.

I lived in Bergen for 6 years before moving elsewhere in Norway (I'm not norwegian). It was the best city I ever lived in. If it weren't for the constant rain and the fact that its placed in Norway where you can't really drive to other countries that easily i would have stayed there forever!
@user-si4nt5gt9b i have never been to alesund! Bergen is way bigger tho
So cool to see Bergen through your eyes! Cant wait to go
Bergen first captured my heart in 2006 as a tourist. I had no idea I'd be living there six years later for 3.5 years. I miss it very much.
Wow really?! That's amazing! I hope you can go back one day, at least to visit :)
Så hyggelig at du likte Bergen! Velkommen tilbake når som helst. Europeisk? Hilsen fra Nordmann.
I am from Morocco. I love this country very much, which makes you feel like a natural and homely human being. I did research on the culture of this good people. They are truly loyal and love to live in peace. I hope to visit it before I die.
I love Norway 🇳🇴🤝🇲🇦
Bergen is a very unique city in Norway as it has the Hanseatic influence and has been a central trading hub for centuries. Klippfisk (important ingredient in Bacalao) was landed here from the fishrrmen in the Northern part of the country and exported to Portugal, Spain etc.
But the main thing that makes Bergen THE Norwegian city (at least my opinion) is its inhabitants…they have a patriotism for their city like noone else in Norway!
Bergen used to be, and should still be the capitol.
I was lucky enough to do a Scandinavian motorbike tour back in the 90's. We started in London, ferry to France and then up through the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark and then across to Norway, all the way up North and then back down South through Sweden and lastly, retraced our steps back to the ferry and finally, the UK. Brilliant trip but very wet far too often, even for summer. Great pubs, friendly people everywhere, hospitable and very, very beautiful.
Bergen seems really lovely, and the city is pretty nice too!
Ooooo clever!! Love it haha 😆 50 points!
..I see what you did there! You're not wrong though!!
Awesome that you're back in Scandinavia again!
Love your positivity, everyone should explore the world through your eyes!
As a swe-neighbor I most admit that Norway's nature is beyond beautiful, it's quite expensive though ^^
So I hope this finds you well!
Awe thank you so much 🤩 SO happy to be back in Scandinavia and welcomed by nothing but amazing 🙌 And wow your support will go right into the next peak 💚 thank you ☺️
What, expensive? Didn't you know Norwegians go to Sweden to shop?
@@elvenkind6072 What? Exactly what I mentioned, that Norway is quite expensive? :)
(Compered to Sweden)
@@Hackke Oh no, lol, yeah, I misunderstood you on that one. :)
why da hell u donate
Great video! I enjoyed watching!
awesome video! i love your positive attitude, makes me smile! good luck in your journeys from now and beyond :D
So happy you liked it 🤩 thank you and I hope you are having some adventures too!
Really nice video. Love the look around Bergen. Thanks for sharing this from a new subscriber 👍❤️🙏
I used to live in an apartment in Bergen and my window view was the exact troll that you can see at @10:41 Imagine having a troll look back at you whenever you peaked outside, lol. It's a really cool art piece with lots of details that isn't really showing when you walk by it on the street. There's a few other art walls around Bergen. The art is by professional artists that get a wall to paint their custom art on. Cool stuff. Love from Bergen.
Beautiful place❤❤

This is such a nice, wholesome video! From one Bergen to another Bergen, this was a nice video about Bergen.
Love it - Bergens unite! Haha awesome!
I left my heart in Norway ❤
I hope you can go back one day soon 💚
@@NatashaBergen me too!
At 3:24 I think you have your camera on a bench, that bench has a small plaque, it translates to "in nature you always have a friend" :)
What great moments you’ve living.
Much envy.
Awe mon oncle 💛
The picnic in the mountain looks attractive and interesting.
right?! Who doesn't like a good picnic 🤤
WOW!

GO OPERATION HIGHEST PEAK!!!
Just be safe though...
Thanks Björn!! Yessss mountain time!! Woohoo! I’m so happy you liked it 😁
Hi Natasha.Yes,liked your video. The cable car setup in Bergen is similar to the in Tromso in the North, where you can alternatively hike up.If you haven't been to Tromso i highly recommend that pay it a visit.I went there last year to run a Marathon and hiked up cable car mountain,at the top i looked down and the sun was shining on this cute little city.Looking to pay Bergen a visit when en route to a little town 4hrs North of Bergen called Vassenden, cant wait.
Keep up the good work👍
Loving Bergen is crazy
Nice and interesting video. I wish you success. I like your videos and have been in Norway since childhood, a follower from Algeria 🇩🇿🇧🇻
Amazing! So happy you enjoyed the vid! :D Very cool you've been there for soooo long!
@@NatashaBergen I lived with you all the moments of the video, because I love and love Norway and the Norwegian people, and I hope to visit it one day, and this is because of you beautiful content. My family is a country called Norway, although I am not Norwegian
I'm just a 20 years old from Southeast Asia and I am planning for a travel to Norway when the right time has come. Hopefully with my parents and siblings. One of my favourite country to visit one day 🥰
Amazing!!! Super excited to hear this! I hope one day you can make that dream happen🤩
when you visit Norway remember it is pretty expensive here, also if you are traveling in the winter do bring warm clothing it regularly gets under 0 degrees during the winter
@@advkattenAppreciate the tips, thank you!
Awesome place! The editing and commentary is great. Enjoy peak 11.
Thanks Fabien! That means a lot 🙌🤩
Love the footage you got from my hometown
You're so lucky to call it a hometown! Amazing!
Glad to see you enjoy yourself in the city I was born in and currently live in. If you want really traditional mountain-walking snacks, bring oranges, Kvikklunch chocolate and a thermos flask with hot cocoa. For a longer trip, wiener sausages in another thermos with hot water mixed with "buljong". Also bread with brunost (brown cheese, yes) on some, leverpostei (liver pate) on some, fårepølse (sheepsausage) on some. Bring a bottle of Solo (similar to fanta, only more orange-ish) if you like something cold to drink. Say "hallo!" and smile to those you meet, is common both in the mountains and waving to people, while on the sea. Also ask someone for the Fjellvettreglene, the rules of mountaineering. Cause suddenly summer can turn into winter at 1000+ meters height. Most, except many seniors, talk English, and most like Americans a lot.
thank you for all these lovely suggestions! They sounds hearty and pretty healthy 🙌
I have been there. I love this city and this country.
you fell in love with the rain, everyone loves the rain, nothing is better then rain, i like the rain city too
You sound norwegian irish. Like a Minnesota native drawn to lumber and fishing in Seattle. But more advanced somehow.
Fairly accurate actually… a Canadian who grew up in the southern parts of Canada who then moved to the west coast just above Seattle then became an English teacher who was told to teach British English who now only speaks with non-native speakers on the daily 😂 100 points Erik 😜
I loved the video 🥰 im going on a cruise ship from Bergen to Kirkenes and back to Norway tomorrow! So im very excited 😁
Oooooo enjoy!! I hope you have an awesome time!
@@NatashaBergen Aww thank you! ☺️ It was very cool! Such a nice city. And the Fløibanen was amazing! 😍
Heading to Norway next week! Thank you for your amazing video! You are funny and sweet❤😂

love the video
I’m so happy you liked it :)
Lovely pictures and travel vlog!
"Gahl-huh-pig-ehn" I am guessing should ring correctly (with the "u" in "huh" sounding like the "u" in burn). Glad you fell in love with Bergen, it is also my favorite city.
Though the weather is fickle in Norway, and perhaps especially so in Bergen, do try to come mid-May up until late August or early September. Those are the months with the best chance of seeing some sun, and perhaps even some warm weather. Holler if you need a guide. There is plenty to see in and around Bergen too, so one or two trips should not exhaust the novelty of it and its surroundings.
Thanks for the suggestions 😄 I’ll be back soon I hope! Very cool it’s also your favourite city! 🙌🙌
Great video 😍
Oh cool, glad to see u enjoyed my city :D and I almost got "Berg"en as aftername too! close enough :P
Bergen is amazing❤
I was born in norway and i live in Bergen and im 9 years old i have lives in norway and in sweden❤
I hope will go there ❤❤❤❤
Bergen looks incredible! Looks like you had a wonderful adventure up in the mountains - at least you didn't see any trolls! Plenty to see and do in the city centre, hopefully I'll get to visit at some point. Thanks for the tour.
Thanks Matt! Yeah no trolls… 😂 It was lovely and do hope you can get there - and when you do I’d love to hear what you think 🙌
@@NatashaBergen I was close to going in 2022 as I spotted a really cheap flight but couldn't make the dates work. Hate it when that happens! Yes will do! 👍
Never been to Bergen yet, but I swear I love that city.
Let me know if you do! I hope you like it 😁
Really bergan is great ❤️❤️❤️
I really like your Bergen video. It has something fresh, unique to it. I fell in love with Bodø, north of the Artic Circle 🤩
That’s really cool that you’ve shared! I’ve never heard of it but I’m sure it’s awesome! Maybe I’ll check it out next time 😄
@@NatashaBergen I hope, you make it in 2024 ,because we have a hugh culture event there, called culture capitol, begynning i february 2024, the program is out already. We have midnightsun or Northern lights , depending when you come and the weather condition. BtWthe weather can be really cold and windy, in the summer, too. So be prepared, but I like it here
Bergen is really nice, raining a lot😂 but yea nice that you like it, I live there too
Hei hei Natasha, we’ve been today in Bergen, and yes, a very nice city!!! Tomorrow we’re traveling further to Flåm, with on the road to that place very nice sceneries. Well, nice video Natasha! Greetings from Sam
Ooooo I'm happy to hear!! I'm glad you liked it and interesting next stop with Flåm, I hope you liked it as well!
@@NatashaBergen hei hei, yes it was very nice over there, and also geiranger and trollstiga were magical, snow on the mountain tops, the roughness, unforgettable memories!!! Tomorrow we cross the border of Sweden for our journey towards home/Holland, had du godt! Greetings from Sam.
This is my hometown and I'm so happy you enjoyed it and even got to experience 17th of May here! On a similar note, I've always wanted to go to Canada, I feel that part of me is Canadian although there's no direct connection to Canada through family or anything but it's amost as if I was Canadian in a past life. Definitely going someday! :)
So you could be my long lost cousin! I feel like part of me is Scandinavian 😉 I hope you can get there someday 🇨🇦 and when you do let me know what you think 🤩
Bergen was super special on 17th of May! I had the intention of filming more but just ended up in the festivities 🥳 thanks for being so welcoming!
I love Norway 🇳🇴
very interesting video! now I have to visit Bergen. btw. you're really cute : )
This is my hometown. I`m glad you liked Bergen, Bergen:)
😁😁😁 love the joke too 😂
@@NatashaBergen Let me know if you come back to Bergen. I`ll be more than happy to show you around. There are so many things to see outside of the city centre.
I spent two weeks in Bergen last year! Unfortunately, I had covid for most of it.
i was there at 17th may too
Really cool video!!
Thanks Maddy 😁
Bergen is beautiful, I have worked there 'some' years..Its a speciel place🇸🇪
Vad behövs för att bo där?? Är det bättre än Swe??
Moved here last year from Telemark to study. Randomly found this video on my feed. Always cool to see how tourists find the place. I love to live here, only large city I could live in tbh
I've also climbed Galdhøpiggen and 3 of our tallest mountains. Will definitely check out that video
That's so cool! I could definitely live there too! How was your time on Galdhøpiggen?! Nice work doing it three times!
Got the perfect voice for a youtube content creator
Oooo thank you!! Made my evening brighter hearing this 😁
@@NatashaBergen my pleasure :)
I think I may have been in Bergen the same time you were there. I remember seeing a bunch of people dressed up playing drums walking down the city square a day or 2 before their Constitution Day.
Whaaaat really?! Small world 😄
Nice!

nice video. I am going to Bergen next month. When did you visit this beautiful city?
Awesome! I hope you enjoy!! I was there in May 😁
I left my heart in Norway
Don't worry, trolls turns into stone when exposed to sunlight.
Phew! 🤣 I’ll keep this side sunny then 😉
nice blog
Wasa is also a swedish brand... though the _brunost_ is typically norwegian. (So a break even in Swe(vs)Nor? ;-)
In Sweden we have something called _Messmör_ , which is also a whey product, but from cow's milk.
It is not brown but a more yellow, beige(?), and while the taste is... simillar?... it is much sweeter, and with a touch of vanilla.
It is a long time since I ate _brunost_ , but my recollection is that I actually liked it more than _messmör_ . So point to Nor?
On a dietary note, I suspect that the _brunost_ , as the _messmör_ , is quite rich in iron. So a good boost to the hemoglobin.
Ooooo loving all these facts! Thanks Bo Dan!! I’ll have to try messmör next 😄 vanilla vs peanut butter tho 🧐 well atleast I think it tasted like peanut butter 😂
Hi Natasha, which month was this...when you visited Bergen?
Hi! May I ask what month you visited Bergen? The weather is so nice. 🧡
I was there at the end of May ☺️
Rains a lot though
The red colour in the apple's skin, is the result of a cyanid compound... so not boring. 🙂
The compound's characteristics, and the miniscule amount there is in an average apple, makes is practically negligible though.
bergen stole my heart too i was there in 2019 and dream to take my son and wife
I hope you can one day ☺️🙌
Привет 🙋🏼♂️ Великолепное видео 🆒️ 📹🔝👍🏻🙂
Now is the time to revisit Gotland and bike up the right hill. 😉 😀
Oh I wish! How about a bigger hill, like Kebnekaise? 😜
@@NatashaBergen You should do Kungsleden. "The Kungsleden is a hiking trail that runs through the mountains in Lapland in Sweden. It stretches about 440 km between Abisko in the north and Hemavan in the south."
@@meteerbil2078 challenge accepted 😍 So glad you told me about this! It sounds incredible 🤩
Heh, don't get too attached to the city, but enjoy the nature around it! I've worked with so many people from Bergen who've told me they just had to leave the toxicity of that place. Seems like there is very little positivity for anything with the native people. Or maybe everyone leaving is much too sensitive... Well, those people fit right in here, up north!
Wonderful upload my friend stay in touch be safe and healthy cheers 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks 😊
if you find this place mindblowing... you will love a place in Canada called Nunavut... its pretty much the same thing from what I see.
Nunavut is just a hop, skip and jump away from where I grew up! Completely different culture to Norway ;) thanks for sharing your input! 😁
@@NatashaBergen meh I don't see much else there besides northern canada... I would go see a more interesting location on our planet.
Beautiful city but too much rain :)
Indeed, I was on Monday where, and it was so rainy 😢
Just for some info: Brunost is actually not cheese. Just look it up. And if the flavour felt is a bit too much, you should have tried the types without goat milk, i.e. mainly Fløtemys and Innherred.
Thanks! I did look it up and many sites say it’s ‘Norwegian brown cheese’. I’m just doing my best to learn about your foods and culture 😉
😃
Hellooooooooooooooooo just wondering if you took the ring to Mordor
Nooooo I lost it on the way 🥲
@@NatashaBergen Beware of Nazgul! haha!

It feels kinda weird seeing you go places I have been to more then one time😅
That's awesome! Maybe our paths will cross one day! 😁
Aah i wish i could live there. Gotta learn a high skill first, get a remote job and then move there. But salary has to be high since living expenses are high there..
Good luck! You got this :)
