I am not this good at the piano mini game. BUT! It did make me wanna pick up piano again. So that's still a win if I actually do it.
Honestly me too, hadn't played in about 2 years but it got me in the mood to play a few songs stored in the back of my mind haha
I mainly play clarinet, but way back when my grandmother did teach me a bit before her Parkinson's took over.

I say try a faster speed. It helps during the faster section and prevents there being loads of notes on the screen at once. Just have to rely on your reaction time and memory which will come naturally after a few attempts
Yes turn up the speed. It will immediately help. Reacting vs waiting for the note to be in the “great” position is the key. If you’re reacting it’ll be in range by the time you tap the direction.

This is the one mini game I struggled with the most. Even with all the useless guitar hero skills I have and you made this look easy. I finally have the trophy associated with this.
I lives the guitar hero days, playing on expert difficulty to seem like a demigod 😂 but good job on getting the trophy!

The first times I heard these new renditions with the little flourishes here and there almost always made me mess up because I was just so in awe at what they did with the piece. This whole soundtrack and the way it’s engineered/woven throughout the game justifies the price of entry alone. Thankfully it has a huge game attached! Lol

Amazing 💕💕 . I did the same and i think it was one of the easiest mini games idk why everyone seems to struggle with it ? On my opinion The biggest problem was tifa ( gym ) and yuffie ( glide chocobo ) mini game . And of course the 3D brawler. But i managed to beat all of them with some tips and tricks ☺️ wp
Yeah honestly the piano minigame isn't as hard as people make it out to be 😂 yuffies chocobo was annoying till I figured out you could double back on the 3rd one. And the corel protorelic hard mode was also a big pain for me.

Man I LOOOVED this minigame. Getting each song starred (bar OWA because I didn’t unlock it yet) was so satisfying. If they keep anything from rebirth going into the next game this should definitely be one of those things. Though I’d say amp it up a little because there were for sure some notes in certain songs that weren’t a part of what we had to play. It’d even just be great to get some more songs in a patch. Nice job, this does seem a little tricky, but legit. Totally gonna try this👍
Definately try yeah, and with what I'm calling "ghost notes", it would be cool if we could play every note like we would in most other rhythm games, would be a little less confusing overall

You are a legend!! God I hate playing the piano mini game for the trophies. 😩 I try to hit the notes on the right side and I’m so absorbed that I forget about the left side and when they switch in between both I start to mess up.
I legit just stare into space and use peripheral vision to do the LHS. Worked for me so far 😂
Speeding up actually helped me get Johnny's piano achievement. I was struggling on 2 legs because the left stick and right stick aren't synched in that song...
I sped it up a few ticks , around the middle, and i performed far better and got an A the second try.
It's so much easier when there's only one note to play at a time. On the slowest speed they'll be like 3 or 4 notes and if get mixed up.
My reflexes are better than my peripheral vision so making it faster helped a ton. Try it out of you're struggling....

I agree 100%, and LTBB and OWA are also so much easier on faster speeds. Would definitely suggest giving them a go, very fun songs to play

Honestly I felt the higher speeds for this mini game actually made it easier. The timing window seemed more relaxed then on one speed tempo

Haha, you'll get there! Not sure the speed your on, but in the fast section a faster speed it actually better since I found it easier to time it. Or maybe Mid speed to have more time to process it
I found that fast speed is actually easier. You’re just reacting hitting the beat instead of hitting the subtle notes.

This is for sure super impressive. But it looks to me like you cut in between songs on occasion. To start, there was no reason to fade out your hand camera when the game fades out in between songs. And over those windows you can be splicing. For example, it’s pretty clear your hands are not in the same position before and after the transition into the last song 15:47

There were cuts as my hand cam filmed in a frame rate of 60 whereas my game was 59.97. Meant they both went out of sync after a few mins. I'll be doing this live tho at some point

Impressive! I barely got A on the first two songs on slowest speed. I get overwhelmed so quickly.
Honestly I find quicker speeds easier as you just have to react to each note instead of timing them individually. You do have to calibrate to it, and speed 3 is quite good to learning new ones, but other than that just keep trying and you'll smash it 😁

I always chose the fastest option cause it was the easiest to me, when it was slow, I felt like I really had to get the timing perfectly. Either I'm just better, or they give you some extra leeway
I agree 100% max speed is more reaction focused rather than timing every note individually, which definately helps in the harder songs. I do find them pretty easy too however almost everyone still finds it impressive 😂
I found this setting to be a lot easier to complete and the trophy then doing it on the slowest setting.

In my opinion yes, especially on songs with lots of notes as you only have to focus on one at a time, rather than an entire sequence where you have to time each one individually. More reaction time based on max speed

Honestly yes, especially for songs like that with weird groove timing and a lot of notes at once, fast speed means they come one at a time, and rather than looking at all the notes and timing them individually, your relying on only your reaction time to select the right input once you see it

I suggest you increase it. Rather than focusing on each notes timings, it's more reaction time based the higher the speed. I litterally cannot do slow speeds on the harder songs

Where do you get the battle song and one winged angel from? Ive completed the game but dont have the last two?
LTBB is unlocked automatically once you get at least an A rank in the 6 songs. OWA is inside the red chest at Johnny's seaside Inn and is unlocked after collecting all 88 of his trophies
Prepare for a world of pain before getting OWA tho... got guides on the channel for things if you struggle

@tb232 all I can suggest for the songs is increasing the speed, which may sound strange, however you have to focus on less. The faster speed basically gives you 1 note to focus on, rather than the whole dial being filled and timing all the notes independently. But good luck anyway!

Ngl try speeding it up. I know it sounds counter intuitive but once you get used to it it makes songs a whole lot easier as it becomes more reaction based than having to time each one individually, hope that helps! And thank you for the comment 😂

The main issue I think your referring to is the sidequest bug that prevented the platinum, in which case yes they have. If its not that let me know

@SirMitsuruji5 there are new graphics options; performance sharp/smooth. To look better have it on sharp, and I do suggest putting your console to output 1440p if your monitor has that option. Definately looks better than what the demo gave us

I hated this mini-game. Never got anything even close to the lowest rank. I really hate games that make you use the joysticks for anything other than movement or camera (or activating super-powers by pressing both of them down). Thankfully, there was nothing major listed as a reward for beating these. Anyway, good job on the video!
It was definately something weird to get used to when I first started, and at least the trophy is only tied to the first 6 which is nice for some people

i think these mini games very do able i think my problem is a sensitivity issue like i would flick and and three other sides are clicked at once
I found that sometimes. A good clean controller with no stickdrift can help, especially for how long the ps5 has been out for now

@aromatrel I wish the game had dead zone calibration cause that could help a lot. Sometimes when I press a note at the top, when I let go it pings through bottom note for a split second so I means I have to be extra careful

What makes these so hard to get perfect is that the melody does not at all match the inputs 75% of the time. Especially on the last 2. It's almost easier to do with the tv muted.
I think it might be more realistic to learn the actual piano and play the songs for real then do these 😂
the keys and music didnt line up properly in this mini game in at least 3 of the songs. the chocobo song and one winged angel in particular felt off. i had better luck muting the game to play the songs. which tells me something was off with sound queues in this mini game.

There’s a cut in the video with the hand cam at 7:08 so I don’t believe you did it all back to back to back.
Will be doing it live next week, and thats because phone camera frame rate is variable and capture card recorded at 59.97. If I didn't splice the hand cam, the end of the video would've made it 0.5 seconds behind and with a rhythm game that's silly to look at.

If you’re struggling playing the piano turn up the speed. It’s counterintuitive but it gets easier. You have to find the speed that works. I played most at max or one notch down & got As for all. Focus on streaks. Two Legs & Aerith’s song was the hardest of the first six.
