Hey Doug I followed your instructions and had no problems, but I washed the pistons and other parts in gasoline and soaked all parts in jack oil putting back together, this cleaned the screen on the release valve. Thanks aye.
Yes ! Just finished doing the o- rings install on one jack... Plan on doing them all great video saved a lot of Canadian cash . These jacks are very expensive up here in Canada brother ...For just "one jack" $500.00 plus 13% sales tax to replace...Thanks Doug...Cheers
Great Video, I found O-ring kits a princess auto for 20$ in both metric and imperial. plus a little searching and I found the old manual, plus a list of the O-ring part numbers at NAPA auto parts.
I think the SAE kits use those part numbers in your kit. i.e. Part # 008 is 3/16 ID, 5/16 OD, and 1/16 cross section. There should be a chart with the kit. The metric kit sizes are in millimeters. i.e. Part # R-07 is 10mm ID, and 2.5mm cross section I might order the amazon.ca deal with both SAE and Metric kits for $44.99 free shipping... or maybe Princess Auto has some on the website.
You didn't add leaking on mai rod,did anyone were did fix that( cutting, replace gaskets, welded back)??? I wonder if the video makes wider and meanful,
Hi Doug, I have these same camper legs. 2 of them are stuck fully extended and won’t lower. We accidentally raised them past the red line due to uneven ground. Are you familiar with this problem? I can twist the inner / bottom leg part around, but it won’t collapse.
Can we get a link for that o-ring repair kit on amazon plz. I would definitely love to save the money rather than get the expense kit from the manufacturer.
This is the kit I ordered "Buna-N O-Ring Kit, 70A Durometer, 382 Pieces, 30 Sizes, Black". But almost any of them will work. This shows it as a blue case, but mine came as a red case.
@@dougadams8946 Thanks Doug. This will hopefully get me squared away. I have a harbor freight kit but not sure it'll have the right sizes so I'm going to disassemble to check, but having this info will help when the time comes.

That's a great extra step!!!

Glad to help!
Very useful, thanks for putting this video together.
No problem!
I think you forgot to mention a step, retracting the jack during the air bleeding process but the vid was helpful, thanks, mine are similar!

I've never had this happen. But having taken them apart, all I could suggest is to open the oil port and try to force it back in.
how did you fix this problem? The same happened to me
Have you had the ram out. Mine leak from the bottom. Can this also be fixed?

How much oil do i put in it?
I have the same jacks. 1 of mine isn't lifting. Any idea?
Could be (more than likely) not enough oil.
Same , where do i put the oil?
Oil goes in the hole visible at 4:30.
