Awesome video! Lexus wanted $550 to replace the actuator on my 2014 GS350. I got one from Amazon for $61.99 and did it myself in less than an hour. I did need to loosen the window track when reinstalling the new one, but it was just two bolts. The toughest part of this whole job was getting the door panel back on. Thanks for the video!
Great video!!! I used it to replace the actuator on my 2010 RX350 - this video is for the previous body style but is STILL 98% the same and saved me $650!!! Thanks SO much for posting this! I may try to up load a video of me replacing the next one on my 2010 but I couldn’t have done this without this video!
Just performed a doorlock actuator motor transplant on the driver's side rear door actuator in a 2005 RX330. The price of the motor was $9.00. The Lexus dealership wanted $450.00 to replace the actuator assembly. The Lexus service representative claimed they "wouldn't know what they would get into" once they began the work. It's always gratifying to turn the tables on automobile service department shysters.
Thank you for the video. I referred it to fix my actuator on 2006 IS 350. Very useful video. I had to remove the bolt holding the glass sliding metal bar to free up some space to be easy in and out for the actuator on my car. other than that basically everything else is the same to your video. Thank you so much.
Great video. Easy to follow. Only problem I have now is the door lock itself - when I put the key in the door lock, nothing happens when I turn (doesn’t lock or unlock). Any thoughts?
@@ImTribble unfortunately no…I wish I did. I’ve just been living with it and always checking the key fab battery. When I notice it slow to unlock/lock, I change it
@@MrWonderfulChrisI came back to update you on what I found on this issue. I took the part back out and examined it. I found that there is a spot at the top of the part that the key cylinder goes into. It is a pain to line up for me but once I got it in there, the key works. Just wanted to update you and anyone else that came across this reply.
@@ImTribble oh man thanks so much for letting me know! I appreciate the follow up on this. I’ll give it a try too and see if I can make some magic like you did! Great job figuring it out

Thank you, this video helped me change the actuator on a 2013 Lexus RX350 and I had absolutely no prior experience with this stuff.

I was dreading having to go into the door to lube slow window, but not now. Thank you!

I have this same issue. Did you ever figure it out?

Have any tips on how to do this when the door won't open?
Great video!
At 02:40 what is that latch called? I believe my plastic molding holding the link has snapped off inside thus sometimes causes issues with my locks
Good video. Going through this hell right now.
You need to change a heater core, lol, thats hell right there.
What year is this Lexus or is it the same on all models? Is the process the same for 2016 es350 ?
Hi no it is not for the same ES350 thank you contact us.
What if the door wont open how can I remove panels?
Hi.
Yes you must remove panel cover thank you.
Excellent video....thanks!
What were you doing at 9:00 to 9"10 with flashlight?
That's a metal bar from outside door handle to connect the actuator which unlock the driver door when pulling the handle from outside.
wayne han Thanks
How does the car key fob recognize the new door lock actuator?
The key fob does not communicate with the actuator directly, so this is not an issue.
👍👍
thank you
