- Let's compare the most difficult Japanese Kanji based on the number of strokes. We start with some of the easiest of these signs that even a kid can write with ease. But then the difficulty gets higher and higher! Could you write the hardest Kanji?
Kanji, hiragana, and katakana are three of the writing systems used in the Japanese language. Kanji are logographic characters borrowed from Chinese characters. Each character represents a word or a meaningful part of a word.

How many Kanjis can you write?
Probably about 200, and like 20 hanzi. Im learning but im really bad at memorization 😭
@@SakuraScythe that's good! consistency is key!
Probably 500 mostly hard ones like Utsu in case of confusion, but I was fluent in Japanese and lived in Nagoya, now I'm only fluent in Chinese but I can only write hanzi confidently on phone and never learnt the handwriting
What about huáng? That one’s _172_ strokes.
I'm happy we in West have so simple alphabet: only 26 letters (+ few diacritics like in French, Polish, German), each with no more that some 2-5 strokes
That's right! Easy to learn and remember.
Pretty sure 四 is five strokes, not four. Otherwise, great video!
Ah whoops! You are right! My bad ;)
All the strokes are wring
As a Chinese, I feel most of the Kanji are also Hanzi, except for the last one. I just feel the last one is created by a 中二病 Japanese dude who is way too addicted to the Buddhist culture, and it looks Japanese just by looking at it. 🤣
