I use the AirSense 10 been on cpap for 2 years very user friendly and easy to setup or change settings . I love it , it has all the bells and whistles for a good nites sleep 😴.
Hey James,....Excellent helpful info.....In case of sudden Water chamber Leakage ( deff a design problem) a regular sandwich Bag inserted Inside Chamber does a good emergency Repair until replacement is obtained to Maintain your Humidity comfort.....Worked for me with no issues.....
Appreciate you! I would be concerned of the plastic bag melting when that water chamber hot plate heats up. It does quickly and pretty hot. I am wondering how that is working for you. Unless I am misunderstanding what you are saying. Please advise!
Hi James..great video. I am getting a lot of water in the tube at night to the point where it is making a gurgling sound and leaking into my mask. This can’t be normal, any ideas or suggestions. Thanks Rob
Hi Rob, Absolutely! I am pretty sure the humidity level needs to be lowered. It may be on Auto when you go into my option. Go to climate control if you see Auto. Select it and change to manual then you can lower the hmidity level down one level and go from there. Let me know if I can help more, I will be happy to.
Hi Thanks for reaching out! So as I tell patients it is opposite. So when you press the power and the machine is blowing air it will be a white light on the power button, then it all goes dark. To see it is still working just turn the dial or hit the house button below the screen, it will light up to see it is still blowing. When you hit the power to turn off the machine, it lights up and the faces appear. It is off and powered down, yes eventually the screen will go dark again. But the power button on top will be illuminated green.
That was the most common sense video for any user. At first, I was concerned with all the details. Now I am just concerned with how well I slept and then check the apnea events no matter what the mask seal did. I'm good with that and the auto settings. I only adjusted the humidity control once. Only if the mask had a complete all-night leak would I be concerned because I would be smelling the metal water reservoir pan burning. That is not pleasant and usually occurs close to wake-up time after 8 hours of sleep anyway.
Hi Frank, Glad you enjoyed! I try to make the machine instructions simple for patient's, always have. These clinicians and doctors or techs make it so confusing for people. When they get home they have no idea what to do. Let me know if anything s ever needed, I would be happy to help.
@frankg6563. I love mine too, and I also enjoyed this video.Until lately, I have never had a problem, but for some reason it has started gurgling at me with water coming out of my nose piece (air pillow). At one stage, i would have half a tank of water left over (with no dry mouth) and now, it's bone dry in the am. after having a great sleep, but still having a dry mouth. I'm still experimenting atm, but it will get sorted out. I might just put it on auto and try that.
Hi, Thanks for rteaching out! It needs to be plugged in all the time. Unless you choose to purchase on eof the battery back ups that are available. That is up to you, I have provided a link below to excplore our collection. sleeplay.com/collections/cpap-batteries
For two nights now, I have been unable to use my Resmed. I tap the start button and it shows the air pressure rising, as usual. Then, when it hits 8.0, it shuts off, no air coming into my mask. What could explain this?
Yes, sometimes if the leakage is minimal and the need for humidity as well it will not use as much or close to any. Some people advise they wake up and the chamber is bone dry. So it differs from different factors, as long as the events are under 5 and as far as dry mouth issues are not taking place. It should be working as it is supposed to.
I have the air sense 10 and am getting dry eyes every morning. I tried a few adjustments to full face mask to no avail. Therer is a smiley face for mask fit. Any ideas
Hi, Thanks for reaching out! Yes, may be the exhalation ports in the front of mask. Maybe raise the humidity level may help with that. If not possibly try a hybrid full face mask or a nasal if able.
Just had to replace my Resmed machine that stopped working! My old machine would come on automatically when I put my mask on and would go off when I took it off! I can’t figure out how to make my new machine do that! I have to manually turn it on and off! If anyone knows if this can be set to do this please send let me know! Thanks
Yes, of course! If you press the knob and the button below the screen with the house on it. Hold both at the same time for 5 seconds then once the screen goes into different mode. Go to settings scroll down to Smartstart I believe you will see. Select once highlighted and turn on. Then exit clinical menu above.
Yes, so if you go into clinical menu. You can change the essentials on the list to Advanced mode=. Which would allow you to see the Events on the screen where the emojis are.
If I want to buy this machine can I purchase it direct without a Dr and just buy it out right. I’ve been on cpap for 3 years and went to a medical equipment shop and they wanted a Dr to ok the purchase.
LOL! Not sure what Grifter speak is. But yes the card to clouds have the SD card because there is no modem in them. Let me know if I can help at all, I would be happy to.

Yep, I lowered it from 6 to 1 and that worked, thanks@@Sleeplayground
Can you set it up myself? Like the as card without a doctor?
Well it is not recommended, but you can look up how to do if needed.
If you tap power button and screen illuminates, shows a smiley face does it power down automatically?

That is most likely occurring because there is a mask leak. When the machine cannot compensate for the leak any more it will stop blowing air.
Why is the water remaining the same in the chamber? Is the water being humidified
Yes, sometimes if the leakage is minimal and the need for humidity as well it will not use as much or close to any. Some people advise they wake up and the chamber is bone dry. What is the outlet right under the SD? And can I get my data into my computer if I didn’t have an SD or an account already set up?
its where you put / change the air filter.
@@jamesvlogviewandopinionsar7346 but what about the thing that looks like a plug under the SD?
If you are referring to the slot behind the door below the door for the card slot, it is a port for Resmed's pulse oximeter.
I did not get a report from last night... Wore it all night air was blowing😢
Sometimes it takes 24 to 48 hours to update. You do have the Airsense 10 with the cellular modem correct?

Yes, so if you go into clinical menu. You can change the essentials on the list to Advanced mode=. Which would allow you to see the Events on the screen where the emojis are.
@@Sleeplayground Thank you so much!

=)
So is that a yes or no? Can I buy a machine directly from you???? A straight purchase?
You need a script from the doctor
@@jennsprague6080 thank you
Super sir
Thank you so much!
I dont get the filter preventing breathing in of dirty air. If you are not on therapy, you dont put a filter over your mouth or nose when sleeping
A filter is an important feature of every CPAP machine, as it purifies the air before it's pressurized and delivered into your airway.
Great vid, but 'card to cloud' is grifter-speak for 'no connectivity'.
