Hey there,.. I've been using 30lb. Berkeley fireline crystal for about 3 years now.... I'm sure it's similar to the your version...it casts quite well on my multiplier reels... all my reels cast over 100 yards... some of them get me 150 + yards because they're tuned ... I have spinning reels but they're not going to cast 100 yards very easily...I truly believe multiplier reels will always cast much further than a spinning reel can ever cast.. But to each his own ... also, the best setup is the one that feels right to you,.. no matter what others say... 🤙😎👍
@@jaaron2834 this is such a spot on comment. Multipliers will always outcast a spin reel as well as they have a lot more capacity. All my slide bait gear is mutipliers
I said the same thing 3 years ago ....I ended up spending a fortune on all the gear that was absconded by theives.... but I replaced most of what was lost plus some classic vintage & unused Abu reels .. but @ 5 times the original price ....also a few vintage & unused high-end rods.. like a Browning SilaFlex bait casting rod ......all the vintage gear mentioned ,.. was the gear my father had given to me when I was a child ... so happy to have them again...🤙😎👍
@@jaaron2834 Berkley is American mate whereas Platypus is Australian where I am so I choose locally made. I have nothing against Berkley as I do not think I've used it.

I've given up on braid and now only use platypus ultrathin mono. I never have any issuses with it.
@@rigger314 braid can be a pain in the ass sometimes that’s for sure
