Very knowledgeable tutorial I have last rhino tutorial in youtube and that person apply texture and pattern for drag method how to possible ? kindly reply and suggest
Dear Brian, I am unable to get rid of the seam (where on end of the texture meets with the other end), this resulted in very rough looking models. any idea how I can fix this, would be greatly appreciated :)
Hey Brian, I am following your tutorial but when I assign the texture to my plane and turn it on - nothing changes. Have I disabled something in my render/shaded viewport? Im unable to find out why I cannot see the texture over my plane. Thanks in advance
you may need to up the render mesh density in the object properties panel. Click custom mesh and crank up the polygon count a bit. PLane typically have very few polygons and as such don't displace well unless you override that setting with a custom mesh.
@@Rhinoceros3dhi Brian. I’m having this same issue. When I turn the granite texture on (Did a 20x20 plane), it does apply but it’s very subtle compared to your affect. Do you have any other recommendations? Thanks!
Thanks great video!
THANK YOU !
When you use a Physically Based function, do you use a displacement map or a normal JPG picture?
displacement maps are simply greyscale images , you can use jpegs, tiff, png, etc.. up to you.
I am using Rhino 7 (7 SR28) but I dont have a displacement tab under surface properties... Any idea what I am missing here?

can you share a link to the video you are referring to?
When it is a Sub-D surface it does not recognize the textures.🤕
THANK YOU

it might be important to note that I am working with an oval surface and therefore cannot use the texture mapping command "cylinder"
Great .

@@JahmaCostello Try on a larger or smaller surface (like, 10 times larger or 10 times smaller.) That was my problem.
