We had a TS, pale metallic- green, with all electric mod-cons, like the sunroof. To me it seemed really modern, I liked the rational styling, with its big lights, wedge-shape, black grille, black hatchback and big windows. A great Renault ride.
The biggest change from the late 70's/early 80s and now is in NVH. Noise, vibration and harshness. I want my Citroën CX 2400 GTI back. My first car. And I loved it.
I remember as a kid my dad had a Renault 20, I think it was a TS so smaller engine, lower spec and it was a manual. I just remember that it had one wing mirror and a lot of rust issues!
It´s a shame that Renault 20 are so rare nowadays, because they were very good cars. Unfortunately they became forgotten as classics as Renault are not known for large cars.
I had 3 of them... still one of the most comfortable cars for me. really miss them.
you are right it hast the confortablest seats ever.
my father (because im 14...) own also one (...there are just 2 more in austria).

@@frankmaeder4358 yes, thats right!
I had 2 of them. I agree

Had 2 here in Australia. Ts bith manual. The series 1 had the most beautiful polished aluminium dash inserts. Loved my series 1. Wish i had it still.
R20 an amazing car!
Takes me back to the 80s and family holidays in France.
I would love one of these
Great review... Light-hearted but informative.

I first learned to drive in one of these on Melton Mowbray airfield. Reg KRY96V. One of the most comfortable cars I've ever been in.

Super Cool;))))))Love R20 and R30 but they are super rare in Portugal. Liked your video a lot🥰
A friend of mine had a dark blue 30 TX in Porto: what a confort! Unfortunately he sold it in Guimarães for just 800 "contos" back in the 90's.
