the first image of Nova with wide eyes and his first interaction was just too adorable and beautiful. This is why staffordshire terriers are considered to be "nan" dogs who look after little kids. Here, Nova proves it by all the love he shows.
I had a staffie as a kid she was there before I was born from the day I came home from the hospital she never left my side. I had a such a special bond with her apparently I used to occasionally nap with her in her bed lol she truly was a nanny a dog me and my siblings doted on her even now we all say she was my dog but in truth she had a special bond with her if I ever got another dog it would be a staffie
Considered nan dogs? They are nan dogs. Before they were ever re trained for fighting the Pities first job was nanny’s. It is instinctive.

Wow, it's wayy more beautiful than I thought, it's like fate had them to meet :D
Could definitely hear her, smell that his human was pregnant, and know to be gentle with the baby. Dogs are great.
When I was pregnant with my daughter, almost 45 years ago, the dog we had did the same thing. Dogs can hear the baby in the womb, her heartbeat, they can even smell her scent. When we brought her home, the first thing I did was squat so he could sniff her. As soon as he smelled her, his tail was wagging like he was meeting an old friend! He was very protective & wouldn't let anyone that wasn't family into the bedroom. He would lay right across the doorway. He was a big, black Labrador mix. Someone you wouldn't wanna mess with!! They can sense good & bad vibes!!! Pitbulls were known as the Nanny Dog because back in the 20's, they had them to watch over the children, like Petey of the Little Rascals fame. My son has 3 of them, the mom & 2 of her puppies, along with his 2 kids now 3 & 6. The 2 youngest were of a litter born in the home when my grandson was almost 2. So they're growing up with the kids. You have great dogs! ❤Good luck!!! My daughter has a other of the puppies & a 10 yr. old cat,. My other son has 2 Beagles & a German Shepherd. They had a cat, but she passed. All my grandkids have grown up with dogs & other pets.
Great thats just great...what about all the pitbulls who have disfigured hurt and killed children pets and adults
Yep Nanny dogs, that is what they were used for, protection, people forge with all the dog fighting, these dogs do that and bond heavily, they wil be agrssive outside a family if people do not naturalise them to it, they need a lot of people around, otherwise good luck getting near that baby, nanny dogs.
@@raintree3383 the environment and they way a dog was trained is what causes what you are talking about, but breed has nothing to do with it. Problem pitbulls have is for years/decades nearly every dog attack from a mixed breed or unknown breed get labeled as a pitbull or pit/mix. Something else never brought up in dog attacks in the news is what was happening in the days or weeks prior to the attack as dogs rarely just run loose attacking random people for no reason. Think of all the stray dogs you have ever seen, have you ever seen on one just running around attacking anyone they say saw?

Pack animals always protect the pregnant and the young.. and they can hear and smell and feel the baby inside you.. ❤️
Not just pack animals, cats can sense it too :)
@@lexdraws1729 cats naturally tend to live together in colonies which are similar to packs
Cats in the wild have a similar pack like lions. The dominant male impregnates the females and if he finds offsprings that are not his , he kills them. The only difference is that the dominant male cat does not stick around to protect the pack like male lions do.
So why do dogs attack children? And why are those dogs most often pitbulls?
@@rogersmith7808 cause those aren't properly trained dogs
Babies give off the same “new & helpless” scent all baby animals do. That’s why dogs are soo extremely protective and gentle after the first sniff & meeting the new baby. It’s very instinctual.
No not all animals have maternal instincts. Which is why so many babies are killed in dog attacks. Just on the news today a baby was killed. Not all animals of course. Just like with people animals get stressed too.. People need to look at the stress signs of their dog and stop forcing these interactions. Many need to be educated on warning signs and how to work through the stress and or jealousy or just rehome the pup for all safety. That's like folk saying to strangers my dog doesn't bite

He got to see me grow from a kid, to a teen, to an adult and even at the end he was super loyal to my mom who was his favorite person and who he was instantly attached to from the start. Of all the funerals of siblings and other family I've gone too, that dog was the only one to make me cry, and I'm a person who NEVER CRIES it was just hard to let go of such a major part of my life and I was the one to bury him. I cannot wait to have my own kids so they can experience this happiness I had growing up.

I will tell you I try not to cry ever in front of people, I feel it shows a sign of weakness in me, but only because horrible things that happened to me growing up, so I had to be tough. I had no choice but to suck up the pain and tuck all the feelings away for lack of a better way of wording that. In my mind tough was my only option that existed because the other options were still to this day worse. So no crying, especially in front of people was one of my things. It still is, but I regret it because my three adult children has now picked it up and they hide those emotions as well. I never meant for them to pick it up and I didn't think they were until it was too late and I saw it. I didn't have a choice I had to be that way but they picked it up from me still being that way and I never even consciously knew it.
I said all that to say, sir your video made me tear up so bad. It would not have mattered if the dead queen was sitting in this room, I would have teared up period. It's amazing how sweet pittbupls are. It's true that there are aggressive pit bulls (either because the owner wants an aggressive dog or because the owner doesn't have the ability to handle a particular dog), but I've seen thousands of pit bulls that just looked into their eyes and inspired you with sweetness. All dodo dogs are mislabeled dogs
@@mikeuk666 So a mutt killed a baby in the Ukraine
@@mikeuk666 yes that is sadly tru that is why they r banned in the uk. But some pit bulls are lovely and different that’s what this story shows.
This is a wonderful family!! Such a sweet story. Dogs do love their human siblings, I've experienced it with my Rotties and my daughter that is 30 years old now. Congratulations on the birth of your beautiful baby girl!
Hello there
They grow up so fast! It seems like just yesterday they were going off to Kindergarten! Time sure does fly!

@@Rprq-my8cz I noticed and thank you for pointing it out to everyone. I was afraid to click on it and wouldn't have.
Same with my bullmastiffs. They adore children and are very gentle. I’m lucky to have grown up with a gentle giant breed.
Feeling love no matter what shape and size the lover is makes life worth living.
Pitties are the best with babies. So gentle and loving. You have a beautiful family.

Nova is gorgeous!!! So sweet. Liliana is a beautiful baby girl. She’s so precious. God bless y’all.
What a sweet, good, good boy. He loves his baby sister.
I have a 10 year old pittie……he’s the BEST & SWEETEST pupper I’ve ever had!!!!
SO much love. Every family should be like this!
This just happened 30 minutes ago. I was walking down the stairs, with brand new socks on, and my feet just flew out from under me. It sounded like a meteor had hit the house. Before I could move, both of my sleeping Dachshund's were there by my side, looking scared to death and licking me to death. The oldest one is deaf and almost completely blind; he was the FIRST ONE THERE. Amazing sense of everything, our pet's/animals have. My son, was pissed I woke him up, but, glad it wasn't his Mom, who fell. Gonna get rid of the humans and get some more dog's. The last time I landed that hard, I was 12 year's old and at a Roller Skating rink. LMAO I do need to teach my dachshund's, to dial 911. I may need that from them, in the future. I'm a huge animal lover, but now, even HUGER! LOL
@pistolp01 a little while back I slipped and fell outside on the ice. My black lab was all up in my face checking me out before I had my wits about me. LOL That wasn't the first time that she had come to my aid. When I told her that I was okay, she backed off but, still stood there and watched me until I got up.
I hope you are ok, falling like that is no joke. if you hit your head, see a dr, concussions are sneaky.
@@deb8534 By the way, my sister's name is Debbie. Thank you for your concern, but, I'm okay. My 2 dogs and my Maine coon cat, all boy's, made sure of that. We've lost so many of our animal friends, in the last few years, they're and were..... everything.
All of you are so decent... the fact that you care.
@@pistolp01 There are still some decent people left. Hard to find, but you're lucky when you do! Glad you're ok & your furkids made sure of it. ❤️
Just remember as your child grows, to continue showing love, affection & attention to your pets!! I've seen this happen 1 to many times & it's heartbreaking
My relative got a puppy when they were single and childless then completely ignored the dog once their kid was born a few years later. They’ve never taken him on walks (I don’t even think they own a leash) and the poor dog used to be sweet and playful and now he’s miserable and borderline aggressive. It’s so sad
If you don’t mind can i ask you a question.?
@@davismiller8196 fire away
@@AA-yc9dq yes I’ve seen similar but dog didn’t get aggressive just looked depressed and heartbroken 💔
That is what I love about animals they can sense what we are feeling 🥰

What a lucky little girl. She gets to be a Daddy's girl and momma's baby girl PLUS she has her big pupper siblings. They'll always protect her and love her. This is one lucky little girl.

Those big excited eyes of his when he was sniffing her. SO cute

This truly touched my heart...how special Nova is💙
Dogs deserve the world for the kindness and love they give to us and our loved ones
It's obvious he's so loved and adored just from the never ending good traits his mum lists☺☺
He is *SO* gentle with her 🥹🥹🥹🥰
Oh my goodness!! You are blessed. Baby Girl is absolutely perfect. Look at her holding up her head so strong! She’s so pretty. And Nova!!! Love him to pieces! The best combo you have right there. Enjoy your cute family! Congrats
All children should have a dog to grow up with. It teaches them compassion and caring....plus they are always tons of fun...

Not a Pitt bill. They can turn on you in a second.
@@dcg590 not true

I've watched this video a few times now. I just can't get over the eyes on that gorgeous little pittie. They are so expressive. It's as if he realizes that he can't verbally communicate so he uses his eyes instead. It seems Nova has a particular look that tells everyone to simply just pay attention.
I have a almost 5 month old female pitbull she is protective, playful and loves children and grown-ups and she follows me and my husband every were and soon I will be giving birth to a baby boy an I can't wait to she how she will be with our son when he arrives in this world by the Grace of God. thank you for this video.
Pitties are so expressive! You can see the awe in his eyes when he meets the baby. I'm pretty sure they know you're pregnant before you do!
Seems like all mammals intuitively understand what a baby is, and in many species the females are gentle with children, but dogs are one species in which the males are just as reliable around children as the females. Pitties and labs especially!
attributing human emotion to it. you have no clue what the dog is thinking and it's definitely not awe.
It’s beautiful to see the dog form such a bond with children at such a young age. It’s like in their instinct to love and protect babies almost instantly.

Cuteness overload. Such a beautiful family.
omg, this reminds me so much of when we brought our oldest daughter home when she was born. Our Great Dane knew immediately that she belonged with him and he would randomly headbutt her and it would make her smile so big. It was like their way of saying hi. Plus, he was so protective of her, anyone who wasn't me or my wife, if they came around her, he'd immediately stand up with a "hey, she's mine, don't eff around" vibe. This is awesome
That dog is an amazing big brother when I get my white puppy I'm happy for you let God lead you and your baby to heaven
Thank you for not docking his gorgeous ears and tail! So precious!
Just further proof there are no “bad breeds”, just bad people. Nova is a four-legged angel. Your story easily and quickly brought this grown man to tears. Thank you for a glimpse into your amazing life and family 🙏🏽
Exactly! Pits get so much bad reputation that it is sad. It is not even their fault.

@@cityescape2031 So, statistically, pitbulls are more abused than every other breed? Is that what we are going with?
