Its crazy how sensitive dogs are to another animal's pain and suffering; what an amazing capacity for empathy! Humans are truly lucky to have such good companions!!
That was the definition of "Love at First Sight." The two of them looked at each other, and it was like, "Yup, you're mine and I'm yours." Heart melted through the floor.
The fact they can both eat off the same plate with no problem says so much. We need more humans like this in our world. God Bless 🙏. This is beautiful.
I can Really empathize with "foster fails", especially in cases like this. It would be So hard to break up this pair who clearly have bonded and Love each other.
that's why i failed my previous foster. my 2 year old cat was too much for my 10 year old cat, so i fostered a rescue kitten (9 weeks old). she bonded with those 2 soooo hard! she would play like crazy with the younger one and then cuddle/nap with the older one. couldn't break up that band! 😻😻
Opal wagging her tail is hilarious. I’m so glad Opal sustained no permanent damage but sheesh, five months in that corrective muzzle must have felt like a lifetime, poor thing. I bet Duke is happy to have his very own little soul mate. 💗

But imagine how much worse it was for her jaw to just be broken and hanging off of her face like that. Thank goodness she was able to get that care even with the less severe torture of spending five months completely muzzled

Yup! I had the waterworks going on, too! So, so amazing, how dogs will still trust people after what they've been through! If only people were so forgiving! My first rescue here in New Mexico was a stray who apparently has BBs all throughout her body! I didn't knew until she grew into her skin. I don't have the money to take them all out, but I promised her she would ALWAYS have a good safe home. I'm keeping that promise! She is the sweetest dog I have! And I have 4 big dogs!🥰

DODO has so many stories that are so heart-warming but this one is an instant favorite. The instant bond between them and the fact this poor stray has probably had a terrible life yet remained so sweet and kind and to now live her best life is a beautiful thing.

Most home dogs would probably try to roughhouse the newbie if I its boy girl maybe be trying a bit too much for some loving but he knew , he was gentle with her and the way the cuddled that was as pure a show of love and protection as any human could show

We call that Wiggle Butt. Just love this story. My girl isn't a pitty breed, she's a cocker spaniel/bichon, but uses her whole body to show joy and my little shi ziu/bichon "dances" on his hind legs.
i had a male pittie that always did that full body wag. i might have been gone from the house for an hour and get home and open the door and there he was, full body wag right before jumping on me to lick me.
My Border Pit does that! I'll leave the house to go check the mail, and when I come back, she's wiggling so hard I'm afraid her back ends gonna fall off!
This makes me so happy. I'm all smiles right now. Duke was my baby's name, he's been gone since 2015 but, I really liked hearing this lady say his name. These two, living the good life, so wonderful!!

5 months being that restricted. Opie's people are so special. That was a lot of love and kindness to see her through to her "liberation day". Duke and Opal are adorable ❤ I'm so happy for the family!
Now see, THAT'S what I'm talkin' about! :) I see a lot of Dodo videos, and even though they're always heart warming, a lot of times they end with kittens, puppies, babies or bonded friends being torn apart from each other, their parents or from the humans that rescued them and adopted out. So sad. But not in THIS video!!! More like this PLEASE! Thanks!
That is sad but it's usually so the people can foster another dog in need while giving the healed dog to someone who might not have felt confident rehabilitating a sick or injured one. Foster families are special in that they fall in love with a dog then let it go. I'd be a total "foster failure" especially if my dogs bonded like that.
It is kinda sad, but it's also for the best. The reason they get adopted out is so that the next needy pup or kitty can take their spot and get healed up and ready for their forever home. If it weren't for these folks adopting out fosters, there wouldn't be half as many animals saved!
Or shelters could do more outreach on how to become a foster parent to animals. To increase the amount of eligible candidates. They don’t have to keep fostering, if they adopt out it doesn’t mean that they have to take on another. There is no real telling, but I do agree. If they claim such a huge bond, makes sense to adopt and there are other animals in need that can be adopted, so it’s not like it would deprive anyone of adopting a rescue.

Doesn't make it any easier to watch :( Especially when I see a mama dog or cat have babies and those babies are taken from them and adopted out. We as humans don't truly know how animals like that feel and in my case, Any animal companion I've ever had, was part of my family, growing up. I would also make for a crappy foster dad because I'de keep em all, haha!
I had a pitty that absolutely helped me during rhe worst times of my life, loosing my mother, hospice let her stay with me up until the very end. But? When she would get excited she would do the same eail wag where her whole body would be engaged!!! We called it "THE BUTT-HEAD WAG!" Due to her butt literally hitting her head with every wag to each side!!! "Rest high in heaven Duchess till we meet again baby girl"

I’ve watched so many Pittie videos because our rescue Ollie the Dog is part Pitt and my parent’s dog is too. They’ve made me fall in love with Pitties. This is quite possibly the most touching video I’ve ever seen. These pups are so in love. What joy you’ve brought to their lives! What transformation in Opie. Having Duke there for her will have been really beneficial to her recovery. They really have bonded beautifully, and you are truly wonderful for adopting her so they can be together.
Feed pets correctly? Well yes, but most don't. Most can't correctly. In that for dogs. To expensive. So most feed the bad store brands. BTW I think you got attractive jaw & lips. Yes I am A guy.
This is one of the most uplifting and heartwarming stories I seen for a while, the way Duke cuddled Opal when she came out of the confines of the gate was just fantastic. It would be impossible for me to Foster animals.. The 2nd I see this poor beautiful Pittie who's seriously injured and undoubtedly in some level of pain, I'd be trying to adopt her on the spot!

My best friend just got a 3 month old blue coat pit bull girl named Heaven! Heaven now lives with a Spynx cat(the bald one). In a week they bonded and are BFFs. Pit bulls are just fantastic dogs,I swear.

I was watching a video about dogs the other day and it included clips of dogo argentinas. Every, and I do mean _every_ comment mentioning the argentinas referred to them as "white pit bulls". There were very few replies that corrected them.

I had my jaw wired shut for 2months after a surgery. It was pretty rough. I can't even imagine how this poor pup had to deal with it when you can't explain to them why it's necessary. So happy she found such a great bestie and loving family ❤️
Mine was only a week and I was wrecked 😭 mind u I was 14 and also got ill that week AND I couldn't take my antidepressants cos mixing them into a drink still made me choke. Fucking sucked ass.

Having had my dear doggo pass a month ago this Friday it’s tough seeing these but warms the heart at the same time. I’m looking forward to taking some time to do things and go places I couldn’t the past few years as she lost her sight and wasn’t comfortable outside her regular places and maybe next summer I will look into fostering (or foster failing)
I'm so sorry for your loss!! My baby just turned 13 and I can't even imagine my life without him the unconditional love they give you is irreplaceable!! One day soon when you're ready you will have that love again and you will both be so lucky to have each other!!!

And as soon as her mouth was fixed, she ate my nieces face off. I was so surprised when that pit bull, who was so loving and playful, went off for no reason and mauled her.

He knew exactly what she needed. Gentle love and support. So cute they’re like two peas in a pod.
They have the same intuitive empathy for people, too. Unmatched, one of a kind, more than a pet- they become part of the family quickly.

That is sad but it's usually so the people can foster another dog in need while giving the healed dog to someone who might not have felt confident rehabilitating a sick or injured one. Foster families are special in that they fall in love with a dog then let it go. I'd be a total "foster failure" especially if my dogs bonded like that.

It is kinda sad, but it's also for the best. The reason they get adopted out is so that the next needy pup or kitty can take their spot and get healed up and ready for their forever home. If it weren't for these folks adopting out fosters, there wouldn't be half as many animals saved!
Or shelters could do more outreach on how to become a foster parent to animals. To increase the amount of eligible candidates. They don’t have to keep fostering, if they adopt out it doesn’t mean that they have to take on another. There is no real telling, but I do agree. If they claim such a huge bond, makes sense to adopt and there are other animals in need that can be adopted, so it’s not like it would deprive anyone of adopting a rescue.

Doesn't make it any easier to watch :( Especially when I see a mama dog or cat have babies and those babies are taken from them and adopted out. We as humans don't truly know how animals like that feel and in my case, Any animal companion I've ever had, was part of my family, growing up. I would also make for a crappy foster dad because I'de keep em all, haha!
I had a pitty that absolutely helped me during rhe worst times of my life, loosing my mother, hospice let her stay with me up until the very end. But? When she would get excited she would do the same eail wag where her whole body would be engaged!!! We called it "THE BUTT-HEAD WAG!" Due to her butt literally hitting her head with every wag to each side!!! "Rest high in heaven Duchess till we meet again baby girl"

I’ve watched so many Pittie videos because our rescue Ollie the Dog is part Pitt and my parent’s dog is too. They’ve made me fall in love with Pitties. This is quite possibly the most touching video I’ve ever seen. These pups are so in love. What joy you’ve brought to their lives! What transformation in Opie. My best friend just got a 3 month old blue coat pit bull girl named Heaven! Heaven now lives with a Spynx cat(the bald one). In a week they bonded and are BFFs. Pit bulls are just fantastic dogs,I swear.

With how many dogs have the same/similar features as pit bulls and how often people mistake other breeds like dogo argentinas, or some breeds of Mastiff, or bulldogs, or some terriers (etc) as pit bulls, you have to wonder just how many of those reported attacks weren't actually pit bulls.
I was watching a video about dogs the other day and it included clips of dogo argentinas. Every, and I do mean _every_ comment mentioning the argentinas referred to them as "white pit bulls". There were very few replies that corrected them.

I had my jaw wired shut for 2months after a surgery. It was pretty rough. I can't even imagine how this poor pup had to deal with it when you can't explain to them why it's necessary. So happy she found such a great bestie and loving family ❤️
Mine was only a week and I was wrecked 😭 mind u I was 14 and also got ill that week AND I couldn't take my antidepressants cos mixing them into a drink still made me choke. Fucking sucked ass.

Having had my dear doggo pass a month ago this Friday it’s tough seeing these but warms the heart at the same time. I’m looking forward to taking some time to do things and go places I couldn’t the past few years as she lost her sight and wasn’t comfortable outside her regular places and maybe next summer I will look into fostering (or foster failing)
