We cool off and enjoy the scenery with our mules before heading back down to the trail head in the evening.

Just found you two! You guys are sparking and fueling my trail riding dreams!!! Thank you so much. Also, Your tenacity in working through your debt with Dave Ramsey's plan is truly inspiring... so refreshing to see a young couple committed to marriage, sacrifice, and pursuing your dreams. God Bless You and thanks for these great videos! 😊❤
Oh wow! Thank you so much for the kind words! We feel SUPER fortunate to be in the position we are 😊🙏🏼 We’re thankful to be through that big season of sacrifice and it was soooo worth it!
God bless you as well 😊
Fun stuff
🇺🇸🇺🇸👍🏻👍🏻
Indeed!! ☺️ thanks for watching!
Man that's a beautiful place
It sure is! Thanks for watching!!
You guys do the greatest rides. Sooo pretty. Thanks for taking us along. I figure it was much steeper than it appeared in the video according to the pace of the mules. I can't do these kind of things anymore, so I'm soooo happy to have found you. 🥰
Thank you so much! We are so glad you enjoy being able to ride along with us in a way! ☺️☺️ we really appreciate it!
Hi Mtn Built. Just found your channel. A white mule?! You have some anazing animals there. Fantastic! I am a fan already. ❤
Hi! Thank you for watching and taking time to reach out 😊 Yes, our white mule is Clyde, and he’s awesome! He’s 7 this year and he’s super fun!
Thanks for the kind words! We really appreciate it 😊

That’s awesome!! ☺️ have a great day as well 🙂
Always enjoy watching both of y'all, nice job helping Riata get better at bridges.
Thank you so much!! ☺️☺️
@@MTN_BUILT where can we find your shirts?
@@terrybowling5973 www.mountainbuiltmedia.com 🙂 we always add the link in the description so you can find it there as well! ☺️
You guys are great, keep doing it. Just a comment though you can tell me I am all wet if you want. The Lake you are at is in my back yard and one that I ride into often . Most mountain lakes are great fisheries and the spawing beds more tines than not are towards the outlet , when you ride your mules into the Lake you could be damaging the next crop of fish. Just something to consider. When I have riders go with me into Idaho lakes it is understood from the start no one rides
Into the lake...have a great day !
That’s interesting and a super good point! I hadn’t even thought of that… We’ll definitely remember that and stay away from the outlets if we’re messing around with them in the water! Thank you for sharing- we never mind positive input like this. And thank you for the kind words as well 😊
Love this! Number 1 rule in having livestock is keep the gate how you found it!
100% right! ☺ Thank you!
That place is beautiful
It really is! We’re hoping to go up there to do an overnight fishing trip this summer 😊🙏🏼
Another great video. Anything with mules and mountains. Can't get much better.
Thank you!! That was a fun ride! We can’t wait to get back up there! 😊
I want to go on that trail for sure
It’s so pretty! 😊
Another beautiful ride. Your mules looking great as usual.
Thank you so much!! ☺️
Thank you for the beautiful scenic ride.
Thank YOU for taking time to watch and for leaving a nice comment! 😊
Your tack is wonderful ❤and you both too❤
Thank you so much!! 😊😊
That was a amazing video thanks for posting! That lake looked like it had some good fishing too lol
Thank you so much! Haha yeah we were regretting not bringing our rods! I bet there’s brookies in there…
@@MTN_BUILT I bet there are! Idk if yall have tried it, but fly fishing is great for trout especially in remote areas like that.
I just discovered you’ll ! I’m not able to ride anymore but thoroughly enjoyed camping and riding the trails here in North Carolina when I was younger. This video brought back the memories of happier times. Thank you for sharing this adventure! 15:42
We’re so happy you enjoyed it! And that’s awesome that it brought back good memories for you 😊😊
Equines are such a blessing ❤️
Absolutely fantastic, thank you!!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for taking time to leave a kind comment 😊
Good Ride...for sure.
Thank you!! It was beautiful 🙂
Great show..
That lake reminded me of a lake up the still water in the absaroka beartooth wilderness.
The hat cam was pretty cool.. keep up the good work…
Awesome! I’m glad you enjoyed it! This ride was over in Idaho 😊 Thanks for taking time to watch and leave a nice comment 😊
COSTA RICA...SALUDOS...Nice horseback riding, in my country they do horseback riding that lasts about 4 hours, but all breeds of horses and mules go.
Hello! Thank you!! That sounds like a blast I bet you have some beautiful country to ride through!
Awww he's gorgeous!! Never saw a white mule before.
Thank you so much! We sure love him! 😊
I just love mules ! They are so smart, can you explain about the stripes on the beautiful buckskin. I know the first horses had these stripes on their legs.
Thank you so much! And yes! It’s from the primitive dun gene 🧬 her stripes are outstanding she really has some unique markings ☺️
I thought so though I didn't know about the dun gene iguess i didn't see the stripe down her back only the big one across her whithers@@MTN_BUILT
@@maryduncan618 she has the dorsal stripe all the way through her tail, transverse stripe that almost “drips” down into her leg barring and even a big dark marking down her belly! 😃 she’s a flashy mule, we are so thankful we found her! (For many reasons besides her color) ☺️❤️
LOL yeah I know now from looking I just did not notice at first 'cause i was blown away by her legs LOL!@@MTN_BUILT
First time viewer, and loved the video.
Thank you so much! We really appreciate that! And so happy you found the channel ☺️☺️
Glad to see you back I like you guys watching now I'll react after
Thank you!! It was sure a fun ride! 😊
Looks like fun .. we need more water down here lol
Haha! Yeah, it’s amazing up there… there are still snow drifts on some north facing slopes 😊
What camera are you using to do the filming?
ldaho is so beautiful 😍
Thank you!! We used a couple different cameras on this one… A Sony A7iv, a gopro hero 5 and an iPhone 14 Pro on 4k 60fps 😊👍🏼
Beautiful ride - took no energy on my part 😉
Lovely country. Like it when you showed the dun the bridge guess its a new experience. Considerate rider ( savvy ).. Did you start the dun?
I use to see bridges in WA like that but real high up - no side rails. I'm timid about heights. I was on a young MFT horse - she took it better than I did.
Haha thank you! We didn’t start the dun but we purchased her knowing she had some things that needed worked on. She wouldn’t cross water, mud or bridges when we bought her. She was hard to catch and very leery of people. She’s come a long ways in the last two years but bridges are still a little unnerving to her. She’s trying and we will continue to be patient though 🙂 haha yes we aren’t big on heights either!!
I have a bay john with the zebra stripes (as I call them)
But not nearly as pronounced as her stripes. He's also not that pretty 😁 but I love him to pieces. He does a lot of liberty work (10yrs&counting).
It's beautiful there is that in Idaho and a few questions what was the temp there was the water cold do mules not like bridges why did the mule just stop in the stream did they not want to swim that would have been cool how long was the actual ride just curious they seemed timid walking on the rocks is that common I'd like to see you guys ride side by side that would be cool I loved it though looking forward to pt 2 thanks kray
This is! ☺️ it was about 66 degrees up there and the water was pretty cold. There was still now up in the rocky ledges above the lake lol. Some mules don’t mind bridges, but they are weird to them at first. I think it’s mostly the hollow thudding noise that gets to Reata.
They didn’t want to swim, we were hoping they would but it may have been too cold.
The ride was about 6 hours but that’s with stopping at the lake for a while!
They were just being cautious on the rocks ☺️ it was way steeper than in looked and a little slick on the rocks. Mules handle that stuff really well and pick their way carefully. It would! Most of the trails are too narrow but we will try that when we can ☺️ thank you!!
@@MTN_BUILT thanks I thoroughly enjoyed it and thanks for answering my questions see you all next time
Awesome mules. Great video. Gave you guys a sub.
Thank you so much for taking time to watch and subscribe! We really appreciate it! 😊
you have some fine mules
@@MTN_BUILT
curious what breed is the buckskin with stripes on its legs, thanks great video
All we actually know about her is that her momma was a quarter horse and her dad was a mammoth jack 😊 We sure love her!
My wife and I was wondering why yall use crupper's instead of breaching. We used crupper's at first with our mules. But we like the breaching better.
Britchens are definitely more secure! My saddle isn’t set up for one so I’m stuck using a crupper for now and Jason likes his scupper better 🙂 mine always slacks off enough that it’s crooked and drives me crazy. I need to punch another hole halfway in between the ones available lol
My saddle is like yours, my breaching has 4 straps. 2 snap on the rear rings and 2 snap on the front rings. 2 on each side. And I also have a center ring on the back in the center for a crupper but it's not used.
First…Now I’m going to watch the video. 🤠
Hope you like it! 😊
@@MTN_BUILTI was finally able to get back to the video and I really liked the part with the mountains with the mules. The best part was swimming in the lake. There’s something very special about a high mountain lake.
@@nmelkhunter1 there is for sure!! Thank you!
What do you spray on mule’s shins?
Fly spray ☺️
May I ask what camera do you use? Such great videos.
Thank you for the kind words 😊 We use a Sony A7 IV. So far we love it, and we haven’t quite learned how to harness all its capabilities yet lol 😊
Thanks a bunch 🤠
Need to video my mules "Out There" for rehoming sale. End of The Trails here ( tryin ).😪
Happy Trails
Where is that Lake or trail? Sawtooth’s? I couldn’t place the name of the lake, as it looked familiar. Thanks.
That was actually Bellas Lake just west of Sun Valley a ways 😊 It was sure pretty up there!
This is Montana??
It’s actually in Idaho 😊
