nice videos, thank you, i hope more and more video-specific tests in all regions of the body, moving to healthier! it was very helpful to us, greetings from our prospective physiotherapy Indonesia
I have a question, why do you perform this test is scaption and is there a difference in sensitivity and specificity if you do it in scaption or not? I also can't find anything about the empty can test in the article which is mentioned.
Thanks alot dactors for your reply, but I mean what's that mean? I mean when you mentioned the specificity and sensitivety in every video? Is it reliability of the test or what,?
I have a question. I thought that the drop arm sign and jobe test indicate a rupture of the m. supraspinatus? Can you explain why this test is for impingement?
it could be weakness/inability for the patient to maintain resistance against the provider, but really its testing for impingement, because if there was a full rupture the patient would not be able to initiate abduction anyways
Thanks for the explanation :) I injured myself doing overhead presses. I don't feel pain when the pressure is applied, but I feel pain when the pressure is released.. Any idea? Deltoid injury?
@@Physiotutors my general doctor thinks it is my deltoid. which I find weird because a light overhead press caused it. And external rotation hurts, or do we use our deltoid muscle for external rotation?
GP's are not specialized in musculoskeletal diagnosis. We'd recommend to see a local physio. If you live in Amsterdam, feel free to see us at The Gym Fysiotherapie.
Best from one bony extremity to another using a tape measure, it's not of high importance though. We discuss limb length for the legs in our video on the Weber Barstow Maneuver. Exact measurements will only be able with MRI/X-Ray imaging
I think he is saying, "Hegedus, et al." I think this is the study he is referring to: "Which physical examination tests provide clinicians with the most value when examining the shoulder? Update of a systematic review with meta-analysis of individual tests" by EJ Hegedus :)
Thanks to Physiotutors for making good video and make a good physiotherapist. i am gratefully thanks from Bangladesh

What brand table/plinth are you guys using❓
What is sensitivity and specificity if you don't mind
Hegedus et al. (2012): 74% sens, 30% specs like mentioned in the video.

Watch our video on sensitivity and specificity explained ua-cam.com/video/UsOv0DcXk6w/v-deo.html
Good.
thx
Li ja hna men menacer yakhbet like 😂
Does Jobe's test is better than Whipple's test?
Whipple's test aims to test for labrum lesions, its similar to the active compression test of O'Brien.

I really really love the fact that you put no advertising at the beginning of the video ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for the explanation :) I injured myself doing overhead presses. I don't feel pain when the pressure is applied, but I feel pain when the pressure is released.. Any idea? Deltoid injury?
Really hard to say with just one test, deltoid injury is not very common though. Best option is always to see your local physio.

@@Physiotutors wat moet ik daarvoor doen, gewoon langsgaan?
Als je bij ons terecht wil, kan dat hier: fysiotherapiezuid.amsterdam/
Moet je wel ergens neer zetten dat je iemand van ons wil zien.
Thank u so much can u make a video about scapula plane, I don't get it
The scapula lies on the rib cage at an angle of about 30-45°. So for the Jobe/Empty can, go into 90° of abduction and 30-45° of horizontal adduction.
Thankyou, can you please tell me how long you apply resistance for?
it's not standardized but it won't take long in a symptomatic shoulder. 1 second or 2
0:38
the skeleton was a nice touch, guys lol. lovely video, as always.
+Kaylee he moved on to bigger and better things... we just wanted a cleaner background 😂
Que teacher mais delicinha haha
Why are the thumbs facing down? Does this isolate supraspinatus?
+John Daly yes this is the theory behind the mechanism
Thank you!!
What is the paper called and who are the authors? (that is mentioned in the video)
Hegedus et al. (2012). The links to all articles we mention can always be found in the description below the video.
How to measure limb length.... please show us....

what F##K does he say at 23 seconds in hahahaha i need to know : )
