Thanks for the clear and simple description, Dyson is out for months with prices for the original going up to 80 plus euro. The noname one I got is a perfect fit fortunately, so there will be a wild variety of qualities I guess on the no-brand market (feels identical too)
Dyson Canada seems to be permanently out of stock of this item, despite the fact that Dyson UK always has stock. This company needs to get its act together.
To add to what you are saying about generic filters vs Dyson filters: Genuine Dyson HEPA filters are made of PTFE (Teflon). Many of the generic filters are made of cotton, which is not as effective as PTFE at capturing ultra fine particles. True HEPA filters are commonly made out of PTFE or fiberglass. PTFE is highly durable and water repellent, which is why genuine Dyson filters can be washed under cold water. Cotton filters, on the other hand, are not washable because they act as a sponge, where the minerals in the water permanently embed into the filter material. Also, the generic filters are not technically certified to be true-HEPA filters whereas Genuine Dyson filters are. So, when it comes to buying filters for your Dyson, this is just one of those things where it really is best to stick with the genuine, OEM filters. For the V15, genuine Dyson filters are $29.99 on the Dyson website. It is a great price for the level of filtration the offer. Also, the blue filter on the higher end V15’s filter even finer particles than the purple filter. The purple filter is certified to filter 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns. The blue filter is certified to filter 99.99% of particles as small as 0.1 microns. The purple filter comes standard on the “V15 Detect,” and the blue filter comes standard on the “V15 Detect+” and the “V15 Detect Absolute.”
I just put filter back on. Is air supposed to blow from the connection point where it meets the grey area of the machine? Mine is and I can't remember if it did before. I don't think so.
hello thank you for watching this is mr woopnik wife my husband passed away last november , but i believe you have to go directly to dyson.com to find it and if they don't have it, amazon has a similar model that my husband has bought there
How do you know if you should buy new filter vs clean your old filter? I've had my Dyson v15 for a year and been cleaning it regularly but the filter still looks pretty dirty
hello thank you for watching, this is michale s wife , my husband passed away more then a year ago but i believe i can answer your question, if the filter looks too dirty after a while of cleaning it safe to say that you need a new one now, that is what i did after my filters for my Dyson v15 got too dirty beyond cleaning
There is just no money it it. Ich wuensche Dir noch einen schoenen Abend 😀👍
The original dyson filter is half cloth half paper. They tell you you can clean it under tap water but this is bullshit, do not put the paper filter under water! The top part works pretty much like car's air filter and you surely never heard of anyone cleaning those with water. Dust particles are fine like flour and in contact with water it becomes a sticky gunk. This will stick to the paper filter and clog it. The best way to realise that is to compare how the vac works both with a new and a cleaned and dried filter - you don't even need any device for measuring the suction force - even the engines note will be different - so much of the airflow is blocked with a used, cleaned filter instead of a new one. If dyson wanted for the filter to truely be reusable, they wouldn't put paper there. I'm actually staggered no one realises this obvious design flaw..
Its a different filter at the end to the one he washed you can tell by the tap logo on the filter it looks like the fake he talked about at the beginning!!!

Very easy to follow instructions.

Ah classic filter cleaning music
THANKS YOU!!
3:44 its not the same filter 🤦🏻♂️
Thank you
don't press the trigger with the bin open, this will stop it getting so dirty so quick.
This is true and very important. Unscrew or remove the filter before emptying the bin so that the motor will not switch on if you press the trigger.
The operator's manual suggests using warm water now.
Good to know thanks for commenting
Du bist doch Deutscher oder?
Ich bin Deutscher. Aus Berlin. 😎
The filter you put on after washing is the one you bought off Amazon filter not the one you washed

Was heißt "bone dry" genau?
@@TheOneAndOnly118 staubtrocken
@@TheOneAndOnly118It means VERY dry; absolutely dry (not even damp).
Oh Thanks for the good explanation

😊dont
it will smell like wet socks
love the sarcasm
I didn't realize thos would be a review for a knock off filter

Strange, you clean the orignal dyson filter and when you show us it is dry you show the no name filter and put that back into the machine!
He probably didn’t want to wait 24 hrs to finish his video, and also probably didn’t expect someone with a keen eye like yours to catch on lol
Lol, first he explains why to use two filters, then he tries to trick us :D
Thx bro
You using a lot of the the This
