I feel that Akane, the drummer, and MISA, the bassist, are the most intuitively brilliant "rhythm section" in rock and roll. Also Saiki, the lead vocalist, can be described as a songstress or chanteuse (French for artistic singer), or prima diva (Spanish for primary vocalist).
What I like about this band? First of all the complex and intelligent compositions by Kanami. Then the combination of Saiki and Miku singing (harmonies!). Then of course Misa Misa Misa (the bass!) and the drums of Akane ... and her smile ♥
It's funny I could see a comment from a wagakki Band fan I remember...I went through Wagakki Band phase after my first experience with real existence (a comment suggest wagakki Band) I loved them, but I got a bit tired of them after their collaboration with Amy whoever. Then I came back to Band-Maid and I watched Moratoriam or this song, and I was sold.

Regarding the word singer. In Norway we segregated occupations into male and female by using similar postfixes as is used in Dutch and German. Over 50 years ago, the Norwegian state decided that gender segregation was to be abolished, so now we do not use different words for male and female singer/teacher etc. An occupation is genderless. Why do we need a word for e female "chancellor"? 😲 Well, I think Norway is not ahead but took a different (better) path. I just noticed one of the commenters on your screen saying he prefers Wagakki Band to Band Maid and that's fine if that's what you prefer. I have heard of them before, so I went and listened to four of their songs to find out what they are about, and they are cool, but that's not even the same kind of music. Like I said, they are cool, and I might give them another try, but I'll be sticking with Band Maid for most of my listening. I just hope Band Maid sticks to rock and hard rock and not full-blown metal. Band Maid is unique and my all-time favorite band now, but if they go full on metal, I will be very disappointed.
