We Madiacs (Band-Maid Fans) have come to recognize that they are a hard rock band with tendencies to add other genres & stylings into their music. It's affectionately known as "Band-Maid doing Band-Maid things". Thanks for your insight, it was very informative and appreciated. Cheers!
Always interesting for comments from musicians. This song was commissioned as the closing theme for a reboot of a popular giant robot anime of the past. I like the snippets of your own band's music. Good luck.
Dude.....it is so refreshing when a musician listens to Band Maid !!!!!! It'sreally seriously sophisticated writing..... Kanami is an absolute genius and the level of musicianship from everyone is off the charts !!!!! I get so tired of clueless reactors listening to BM and they just don't have the ears tp appreciate it. Being a drummer.....I will tell you. BM made me a better listener because there is so much going on that it takes a few listens to fully appreciate it. And NO....I will never ever be able to play Akane's drum parts because she is that unique and good !!!
Kanami does not write the music by herself, there is a reason the credits for the music is Band Maid!! Read a Kanami post-US tour interview, some great new insight on the inner working of Band Maid.
Love your pro insights, and your ability to explain practical stuff to a non-trained audience is impressive. And yes, Akane LIVES in that 16th before the drop. She can do more in that space than some do in a bar. LOL Good luck with the tour launch!
Great song! Love their sound. Thank you for the reaction! 😊 Just like I love the sound of "City Of Sound" (great name by the way) ❤ Good luck with your band!
Thank you for keep coming back to Band-Maid. Another great reaction. Love hearing what a Musician has to say. The appreciation is genuine and feedback is fantastic. Sounds like you'll be busy with a tour, but I hope you will still find some time to react to Band-Maid. There are still so much great music for you to explore with the Maids, so please continue and enjoy the journey. PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘
Ouh là là, Band-AniMaid! Thx Grendizer U... and you too, WrighteousJ! 🤘🤖 New album "Epic Narratives" drops Sept. 25, 2024. Order now at CDJapan for bonuses.
As I'm sure a bunch of Madiac's have mentioned, this is the commissioned outro to the Anime Grendizer U! Hey Man, Great Reaction! Best of luck on your tour, America needs a forward thinking band of its own and from what I've heard of CoS, this could be it. Go Get It! 🤘 Oh Yeah, almost forgot, It's not only Band-Maid doing Band-Maid Things! ( Chase Cameron) It's Band-Maid Second Verse Vibes Baby!!!!! (Coined by Champ of Medium)
I know you're very busy with your band but I just want to say this even if it never gets noticed. I'm an old Midwest boomer. 60s-70s-80s rock is/was my wheelhouse. Your band, to me, feels like some I'd listened to and loved back then. Love what I've heard so far. But this is about Band-Maid. I've seen many bands that had one of more outstanding musicians and/or singers. Quite a few that were good at composition and performance. Bands that had rabid fans. Now Band-Maid combines all of that and that is rare. But they have brought something else to the table that I have never seen before. We fans call 3 songs they have written the "Smile Trilogy." The songs are Smile, About Us, and Memorable. These are their "love letters" to their fans. "Smile" is about how happy they are to see our smiles as they perform in a concert. "About Us" was first performed in a live stream show during the covid shutdowns. They had been scheduled to perform at Budokan but the show was canceled due to covid so they did a live stream on that date instead. Before doing "About Us" Saiki the lead vocalist gave a short very heartfelt talk about how sorry they were that they couldn't meet us at Budokan and how hurt they were seeing all the misery and helplessness that everyone was feeling then. And so they gave us a song of hope for better days to come. To remember that even in the darkest days we are not alone. "Memorable" was written during their 2022 US tour. They hadn't played outside Japan since 2019 and were very unsure what their reception would be here. When they played their first show in Seattle, and then in the following shows all across the US, they found they had more fans than they knew. People who didn't speak Japanese knew all the words to their songs and sang with them. Joyous concerts. So their main composer, lead guitarist Kanami, started composing a song to thank their fans for lifting their hearts at the concerts. In the tour documentary released as part of a special video edition of their 1/9/23 Tokyo Garden Theater 10th anniversary kickoff concert we get to see Kanami first showing Saiki the beginnings of "Memorable." Perhaps I'm just getting soft in my old age, I've loved bands and artists before but this is the first group where I feel, know, and see that they return that love. Special, they are special, and I'm so glad I found them before I'm too old to enjoy them.
Thank you for reacting to BAND-MAID! 🖤 If you continue with our Maids check out the music videos for Alone, Choose Me and Daydreaming. Three of their best all-time songs!
Nice one, thanks. The creativity and arrangements in B-M's songs are jaw dropping, truly a band comprised of 5 musical unicorns. What a fcken band Po 👍🍻
@@RogerChance5309 Okay the remedy is - Everytime you hear in your head "We're off to outer space" you shotgun a beer and sing "I'm off, off of my face" repeat as necessary and you will eventually forget the theme song, probably along with several other things such as your name, address etc but you will definitely be cured - you're welcome my Maidiac Brother 🤪👍🍻🍻🍻 hey got your email, origato, I'll reply soonish 🤗

from JAPAN. Thank you for your reaction to BAND-MAID. As another commenter said, it is really unfortunate that some reactors make bullshit comments with limited knowledge, pretending to be experts. The reactions of real professional musicians, no matter what your evaluation of BAND-MAID is, are well on point and very informative and enjoyable. Of course, as a fan of BAND-MAID, I expect it to be well received. From now on, thank you for your support of BAND-MAID.
