Well you have to read between the lines. A kidney safe diet that repairs the kidneys is the key. Lowering blood sugars is just the start, you have to then repair your kidneys through diet. Plenty of info out there to do so.
As far as I am aware, there are no remedies to cataracts apart from surgery. I know this from having researched it for my dog. There are several proven preventative measures though. Triphala, Astaxanthin and eye drops with L-acetyl carnitine.

I've learned that just eating a diet that's diabetic safe isn't enough, you have to take the next step in repairing kidneys.
