    I recently found your channel on my journey of transitioning my menace of a monstera and other aroids to moss poles! It's been awesome seeing you come out of your shell from older to newer uploads. Your enthusiasm shows and spreads the best vibes, not to mention all the helpful info and stunning plants in the background! :)

    Question for an expert! If you were to place a divider of some sort between the two poles to avoid roots growing into the lower pole from the pole above, would that be detrimental to the roots? Would restricting their ability to grow down naturally give you smaller/weaker roots? Trying to be cheeky (lazy) with my future massive plants thanks to you 😊😂

    • @sydneyplantguy
      @sydneyplantguy  10 місяців тому

      I do it once it reached the top, irrespective of the time of the year but it also depends on the conditions you’ve got to offer. It does induce a bit of shock so you don’t want suboptimal conditions to make it worse. If you’re concerned, stick to the same guidelines you’d use for any other repot :)

    • @sydneyplantguy
      @sydneyplantguy  10 місяців тому +1

      It going droopy might be a sign that it didn’t have enough roots to support the size of the cutting. Was is thoroughly rooted into the pole before the cut? Your priority now should be establishing a healthy root system so be careful with too much water. If the plant can’t absorb that water due to insufficient roots u might cause rot. Try and provide it the best possible conditions

    I live in Mumbai and it is a nightmare procuring good quality unadulterated sphagnum moss. I have been watching your videos from a quite some time now and I think it’s not gonna work if I use planks or coir moss pole to get the similar kind of growth….. anybody has any suggestions? If not sphagnum moss then what ?…. I have a 2 M. deliciosa, 2 adansonii and one esqueleto…

      Just make sure the support is also a growing medium so I would stay away from planks! You could try coco chips or bark instead :)

    I prefer not to cut trough the whole stem to activate all nodes. It is okay to just cut through the half of the stem to keep the stability.

      yes you can put a small notch about 1/3rd of the way into the stem between nodes you 3ant to activate. usually it will be 1-3 nodes activated below the notch, and the one above often too, if it's not already.

    That’s exactly the type of Monstera Albo I’m looking for,not to highly variegated. Too much white,to much crispness.💚🪴
