- In this video I'm catching Snook and Spotted Seatrout on three different lures while fishing grass flats in SW Florida. As always I'm giving tips on how to find and catch fish anywhere when fishing inshore saltwater areas.

Glad to see you using the Salt Strong lures and sent. By the way, after the paddle tail gets chewed off, the remaining stub is also a good lure. Some have a strategy of pinching the tail off on purpose to get strikes during a tough bite. Tight lines.

You are correct about not passing up a good looking spot that was unplanned. I went surf fishing a couple days ago and had a planned area to fish but about 1 minute driving down the beach I saw a very promising spot and stopped. Caught a dozen surf perch in an hour including a hefty 15” fish that hit hard on the first cast! Go with your gut instincts! Love the channel!
Love the mix of fish you're catching. Looking forward to getting the kayaks back in the water this fall. I've already got a trophy class carp and muskie up here in Ontario so far in 2022. Setting my Skeeter up for salmon/trout fishing next on Lake Ontario; rigging is about 90% completed. Hoping to get at least a couple of trips in before the weather turns cold.

I went lobstering yesterday and caught my limit within 20 minutes and I also caught a 25 inch mutton. I also enjoyed this video very much jc, that pinfish was huge

Salt Strong is my jam.
I hate to tell you this, but the SS paddle tails you probably pitched, make excellent baits on their own. I think they call em "snubbies." You might use a lighter jig head for that, and use a "twitch twitch pause" retrieve. Zman makes a paddle tail in the "Slam Shady" color, using their super-stretchy plastics. Less pop-offs, but I prefer the SS originals. My favorite SS soft bait is the "Gold Digger." The club and it's fishing app "Smart Fishing" are awesome! Good people. I got in early "for life" for $.27 a day, locked in. Keep up the fun work!

JC, a small piece of advice, those tree fish usually don't start biting until around 10 am. Haha!🤣
These slams shady paddle tails work well as a jerk bait when the tail gets bit off. Great fishing CJ!

JC, I feel you! Busted lures on dock posts, bridge snags, tree entanglements, hooked myself, how about pulling your first Spanish Mackerel over the pier railing, bumping the railing and the fish falls back into the water and don't get another bite? You have to laugh! The great thing about the Slam Shadey is you can use the nub to catch, it still works!

The Snook were stacked this morning where those black drum were breaking you off near where you caught the Goliath Grouper. I swam the slam shady in front of about 10 of them and nothing. I did catch some keeper mangrove snapper on shrimp. The Snook were chasing bait fish though.
That was a nice early morning fishing session, I tried those lures and they do work. I'm sure that pelican had a thing to say about you too🤣, see ya my friend.

Hey JC, Don't throw away those Salt Strong paddle tails when they bite the tails off,they work great as a little jerk shad without the tail I especially like to throw them under docks with lights on them when the snook are finicky they still cant resist hitting them twitched erratically thru the lights at night ,,,tight lines Brother oh and Congrats on hitting 50K Woo hoo
