    Good info again. I'm not a begginer but sometimes reminders like these are helpful.

    I been at it so wrong. When I go out I do catch catfish on shrimp. I occasionally catch different species and have become discouraged to go again.
    Everything you say makes sense. I'm more into Bass fishing and everything I got, as far as Bass fishing, is bought with the intention of catching Bass. Nothing more and that's all I catch.
    I'm going to do more research because my area has a lot of different types of fish. I'm targetting snook, red and mangrove snapper and pompano, possibly jack.
    Thanks for the insight, I feel dumb right now.

    Excellent video. Just what I needed. I’m an experienced bass fisherman looking to transition to saltwater and had no idea where to begin. Thanks for making this.

    First time seeing any of your videos. Always a fresh water fisherman. You made this 3 years ago, don’t know if you’ve made any more. Liked your content and delivery a lot. I’ll be surf fishing so maybe you’ve made some videos for that type of fishing.

    Love the video. Just wanted to ask, do you ever fish the surf for trout? I’m constantly fishing marsh on my kayak but when that surf gets flat. It’s go time. Caught a 4 man limit 3 days in row last week

    Great video. Been fresh water fishing my entire life. Moved down 2 years ago. Within 6 months all me fresh water reels were in the trash. Do you have a saltwater reel brand preference?

      Joe Ross I really like this new shimano curado dc but haven’t used it long enough to put it to the test. I’ve had a lot of success with lews reels.

    Good info, where do fish stack up depending on the wind, and how much wind does it take for the fish to stack up?

      Id say an approximate of 17 is perfect for catching turtles and mice. If you want bigger geese your best choice is a combination of 12 to 14 and the rotator cuff.

    Hey bro met you a few times I was in Mike's chair he told me about your page. I mostly have fished matagorda so I'm not too familiar with any areas in Galveston looking for some new areas if your familiar with the area would love to have you come out on the boat with me. Let me know

    • @TexasFishingForce
      @TexasFishingForce  5 років тому

      Dino Vargiu I definitely fish a lot in Galveston area. West bay can be very tricky on a boat but I assume since you fish Matagorda you understand that. I’d love to meet up and fish sometime. Send me an email at TexasFishingForce@gmail

    Why do you like a baitcaster over a spinning reel? I have never fished in saltwater. I never liked a spinning reel, but most if not all videos I have seen people are using spinning reels in salt water.

    • @TexasFishingForce
      @TexasFishingForce  4 роки тому

      geoff mckissic I’ve always preferred a baitcaster because I have more control. I used to do a lot of wade fishing and a baitcaster helps in that situation. I have recently picked up a spinning reel for using a popping cork but I still prefer the baitcaster.

      LongviewGarage haha, yeah I’ve been trying out different lighting in my videos. Some people like the low light, some don’t. I may bump it up a little on the next one.

    Why do you referra to the other fishing as trash fish. They taste just as good as the other fish. It's just that each fish has its own taste. Have you never eaten catfish for example. That are real good. Just be honest with me. WHY ?

    • @TexasFishingForce
      @TexasFishingForce  4 роки тому +3

      Wilderness Man I refer to other fish as trash fish, mainly because they are not what I’m targeting. Has nothing to do with taste or that there is anything wrong with them. Just not what most of us are after. So this is intended to eliminate the fish that you don’t want to catch. I’ve had catfish, croaker, and a ton of other species. I just don’t specifically target those as I want to catch redfish, trout or flounder and I want to help others do the same.
