This is the ultimate saltwater fishing guide for how to catch saltwater fish from shore, how to saltwater fish from the beach, and inshore/flats. Whether this is your first time saltwater fishing or you've been doing it your whole life this vid will give you helpful tips from everything how to use google maps to locate productive locations, how to target a large beach and certain features, and many other useful tips! I get super stoked helping people catch fish and catch more fish - so if this vid helps you please let us know!!
Here's a description of some of the things we talked about in the vid in case you get super annoyed with my voice:
Beach Fishing
Target Deep Holes, Sloughs, Troughs, and conjoining sandbars that might have a drop off near. Current and areas that have drop-offs are key.
Piers, Jetties, but using google maps to find sand bars and drop-offs are key!! You do not need to cast too far in some circumstances game fish will be right past the shore break.
Inlets
Current is key (for all saltwater fishing) so areas that have current breaks, changes in topography, submerged rocks or structure are some key areas to focus on.
Intercoastal
Oyster bars!! Look for the same thing!! Saltwater fishing revolves around current, structure, and food source. Oyster Bars, docks, creek mouths, changes in topography, if I sound redundant and you're getting bored than you have the basics and fundamentals of saltwater fishing!!!
Please help out our channel and subscribe!!
As a 71-year-old retiree who has recently taken up saltwater fishing after 40+ years of not fishing, this was a great video. I have no boat and don't want a boat. I want a friend who really likes me to buy a boat and take me fishing 3 or 4 times a week. I saw quite a bit of useful information not specific to any area. I live near the upper Texas coast so I have a variety of places to fish, from shore, from jetties, and from piers. Your video reminded me of ways to locate fish, identify troughs and sand bars and holes. Thanks so much. Great job.
YO EVERYONE!! I hope ya'll are doing well in the quarantine! We hope this vid helps ya'll when we all can get out and go fishing! Holler at us and let us know what other tutorials you want to see!

@@Roman-lu6sp Love it!
@@davidcantu1594 We have that one posted a few weeks ago! Thanks for the comment!
@@1fish2fish10Must have missed it,,, thanks y'all...
I’m a bass fisherman who just moved to the beach recently. I’ve always loved all fishing so I’ve gotten in to surf fishing. I didn’t catch anything the first time but I talked to other people who were fishing and I’ve been catching more and more every time I go. Appreciate the videos!
Hello. I’m a senior citizen. You are great. Love your energy. Here on the west coast we have red-tail perch. We use many of the ideas that you have presented to us. Guys when you get bit, hand the rod to your woman and tell her you need to check her bait. My wife knows what I’m doing, but she plays along because it more fun for me to see her light up with a fish on. I’m just saying
Very well done. Don't forget about tides (very important) and time of day/night.
I just learned about tires. Crazy
So this is what you guys were up to when I ran into you yesterday with the drone... excellent info here! Looking forward to more
THANK YOU! You're the only reason I feel like I know what I'm doing. Also in VA and absolutely love every vid you make. I feel like fishing's mostly based on experience which you learn from your parents, but my dad grew up in NY and my mom's never really been interested, so now you're awesome vids are just filling me with awesome info. THANK YOU FOR BEING THE LEGEND YOU ARE!!!
Wow this was probably your best video yet , full of really great advice , I wish I would've had something like this when I first started to fish , this is going to help a lot of people , TY for sharing 🤙🏼
y'all are pretty spot on with the tutorials! Anytime i have a question y'all have a video for it.
So I’ve been fishing around this area sense 2007 and I’ve been watching y’all for the last year or two and I think this is your best Video yet. I can tell that this one took you some time and appreciate the effort you two put into making this video. I agree with everything you said and I liked the different locations you used for examples. One other thing I would bring up is when your fishing the inlets at low tide the bait gets trapped in small pockets and that’s some of the best fishing or bait catching you can do in this area. Also I would love to see something on fishing the Chesapeake bag bridge. It’s not easy to fish out there if your new to it but you can catch some pretty good fish if you know how to use a fish finder and have the right gear. I know fishing is slow out there right now but maybe around the end of May or so. Over all I give this video a 10 out of 10 and I’m saving it so I can show it to family members when they come down so they can enjoy looking for the fish as much as we do. Awesome job y’all. Keep up the good work.
Thank you!
Great content !! Love to see something on catching Flounder. Happy Easter to you and your family !!
Great job! You two know your fishing! Going to go fishing at a new beach in May and your videos are super helpful! Thank you!!
Thank y'all so much for the time to put in to help folks out saltwater fishing. My favorite saltwater fish to eat is Flounder but hopefully I'll get to try out some fresh flounder and Sheepshead in Texas.
Thank you for reinforcing what I've already learned from my research! Makes me feel a little confident that i might know what i'm doing when i come down to the OBX in a couple weeks. Much appreciated! Love the content and all of your tutorial/help video's. It's so nice to be able to find help from someone who's in the target area i will be fishing in. Now i just hope the beaches aren't too busy and don't have to go far to find a spot to setup. Keep up the great work! Maybe i'll see ya down there!
You guys are a highly capable and knowledgeable couple. This is one of your best videos, thank you so much for all the effort and advice, really appreciate it.
Thanks for this! As an on-foot saltwater fly guy, it's always a challenge to find productive water. Sometimes great looking water just doesn't come together and having some search techniques and such to help eliminate bad water and highlight good water is always awesome. (And real talk on sharp-as-hell oysters.....the toes and heels on my wading boots look like I've been kicking razors or something)
Thanks! I am taking 3grandchilren fishing off a big dock in Awendaw,SC. They are scared to fish in my little skiff. The information was helpful as I do not fish off land. Just can’t wait to see their joy and cooking the fish. You both are my favorite to watch !God bless you.
Love it man! Appreciate the video, thanks!
Thank you guys for taking the time out to do this video. With me being new to salt water fishing, this video does help a lot. I’ve been trying to figure out the best bait to use as well as trying to find the right location. Your video definitely help answer a lot of my questions. Thank you guys again and I look forward to the next video you two put out.

Man love your videos and very well made with plenty of info I'm in Norfolk this week thanks to your videos just caught my first set of salt water fish off of the piers
Happy Easter y’all.I was very impressed with this toutorial. We never lack for knowledge and you are spot on , and you are so knowledgeable and love ❤️ your sport so much it is contagious to us all . I strictly am a beach fisherman and have been selling all my surf rods/reels fly vise , materials and purchasing soft bait equipment..I now have the TOADFISH 7’2”and the 7’6” rods plus reels and Z-man, Gulp etc to venture forth on my last (age 85) adventure.. Your method of fishing lies in between surf/fly fishing . My opinion only.I will be beside myself when I have caught my first flounder..Oh !!! Then I’m going to clean, cook it..If you have surf fisherman following you possibly can show how to change the existing reject hooks/rings on the existing plugs and replacing them with VMC etc🐠🦐 ..Show how to set your reel drag , what are wind knots and how to eliminate them , why your leader/braid knot should never come inside your first guide ..TBC and T U
We never know when our last adventure is Brother...Keep on fishing...tight lines and God Bless!

My biggest ever fish was caught off a jetty. You're absolutely right about the current moving out to sea alongside. This is what my fish was doing until it turned and swam against the current enabling me to bring it to the surface -Shere luck on my part. The hook was just about hanging in there! It weighed 27lb. Great video!
Great video guys, I learned something new. I didn't know you could use blood worms in saltwater.
