What a beast of a hatch. What a great total package, I would be scared to line it up with that car in any other hatch.
There are so many variables in 0-62 or 100-200kph, the car that everyone is referring to on Officially Gassed channel is also a Development car of ours which ran 3.03 recorded on camera and 2.97 off camera if you have watched the video.
The fact that we have been running this car during winter and testing on wet roads is a challenge, but we are hoping to see a high 2.XX in 0-62 once the weather starts to clear a little or we can get Luke's car to a prepped drag strip.
Everyone is comparing this to an RS3 which is obviously going to be a faster car in some scenarios based off the % of power difference being that it is a 2.5l 5 Pot vs a 2.00 4 Pot, both hyperhatches but on paper, it is slightly redundant comparing apples and oranges.
Not to mention we have not finished tuning the TCU yet, this will be done by the end of Jan and then we will get some finalised figures.

The DCT shifts so fast now with that tune, it would be nice if AMG included that tune from factory (at least in Race mode).

It's amazing what a modern 4 cylinder is capable of, crazy power! Renntech even push this engine to 600hp with their stage 3 package.

Question and be honest please. What expense have you gone to get these figures and is it really worth it?. Not much quicker than a stock RS3 🤔
Yes it's around half the time of a stock rs3 100-200kmh and over a second quicker in 1/4 mile. So much quicker than a stock rs3 after you get off the line. Not all about 0-60's as much fun as it is. (Stock RS3 11-12sec 100-200kmh and 12-12.5 Sec 1/4 mile) No idea on the cost of such a thing. Not much hardware tho it's mainly been software and since he's letting them use it as a dev car can't assume they're charging much labor.

@@VuBeClanhe put the time up at 7.1 100-200 from before this new tune so it’s probably a little quicker now I never said 6.5s tho lol.

Cars looking well and ul get a lot better times Once road temp go above 7 degrees your tyres will grip a lot better for the launches for sure as summer tyres dont do grip as well in cold temps

All this needs now is a twin scroll borg warner efr turbo... they have amazing power curves... next to 0 lag and come internally waste gated. That would be the perfect turbo upgrade 👌

@@thehomelessproject3784 to be fair, most have a large footprint especially b2 size and they are somewhat sensitive to over spinning due to ductility of gamma ti .
Still, the responsiveness and broad power range is to me very good especially for fast Street builds.
Also availability but once you get your hands on one it's very hard to go to something else. Though, I'd like to try their new S200sx-r for a high power build
@NelsonSakwa ahh fair point, I do think if a lot of these golf r... a45 2.0 litre 4 pot builds switched over to the efr they'd notice a huge difference.. I know Litchfield use them on their r35 GTR builds, and there are some r34 GTRs with them on... would you rate them better than garret and precision ? I think precisions overall you get higher peak hp output but might lose drivability ?
Crazy back in my day hot hatches had 150bhp and did sixty in 7s
I had a 1.6 Civic VTi, 165bhp, 0-60 in 7.2 if I recall. Loved that car so much!
Someone, somewhere in UK, as probably already fitted a hybrid turbo or a new one on those a45s. With a stock turbo, your record will not hold long ^^ Looks and sounds faaast none the less !!! Cheers from FR.
There is 1 hybrid turbo car in the UK, built by EST too. My car is faster with the original turbo fitted + TCU tune…

Great cars had 2 of these, shame that all that money spent and back seats removed and still slower than Joe Achilles’s managed 3 years ago just with a remap. His times were to 100kph too

just isnt possible on these yet, a45s with upgraded turbos are only pushing 525-550 at the moment, a bit of a shame really.
Incorrect now the TCU can be mapped. These should sit at around that power on a stock turbo with a TCU tune - update video to follow in due course

Y people mention the Audi rs3 the new one is the same power but have 40 nm toque over this this is y the Audi is faster of the line but rolling race the amg is faster due to be very laggy on the rs3

Take to a tuner, give them money to tune car, use launch control and car uses 4wd and auto gearbox = zero skill required for UK's fastest A45.

Rs3 stock is about 0-60 is 3.8sec and what people forgetting that the Audi on a rolling race very laggy and the amg is not so in reality they both the same
It’s definitely not the fastest. The fastest was made by a company local to me called DynoTechRS in Faringdon Oxfordshire.

Once you go big turbo the car will be slower off the line. CPC no matter what u do more torque you make it will make the car slower off the line if you upgrade the turbo. AMGs should never go over stage 2 for this reason because it’s a waste of money u will have 1000HP and it’s slower than stock turbo at 600hp

Total opposite with Audi’s though - RS3’s get mental with even a hybrid turbo - full frame then that is downright nuts and will smoke nearly anything from a dig or a roll

@@hampshirephotoit isn’t the fastest mate. Jamie from OG had one a couple of years back which did a 3.03 to 60 and a 11.40 1/4. You’re on par with almost every stage 2 A45s
