Had the facelift A45 and loved every second of it until I was smashed into head on (not too far from old BINCA) and it was written off! Whoever wins it will enjoy it.

I love this car I was torn between it and my m135i and went with the latter top video as always big up Calvin
never had a problem with the gearbox, however i bought one similar age 2 years ago and two weeks after purchase the rear diff went (at 40,000 miles)
also its running 430hp stage 1.5 - which is a tune and an airfilter.
The past couple of months the content has been class
"Not feeling so good in your Clio" 😂 i get that feeling everyday driving around in my old i30, but it's ok as hopefully I'll be winning that A45 on friday 🤞😃

I have a stage 2 A45 mostly standard running 437BHP tuned by MSL, so stage 3 should be making atleast 480?
And I would choose a C63 (at least before 2022) over a 4-Banger Popcorn Maschine a Quadrillion Times....thats no AMG🩶

Glad calvin agrees on the build quality, but I wouldn't just go as far as "interior" the modern era of Mercedes are not Mercedes any more, comparable to renault, infact that's too kind, maybe dacia. 😅.
I have a 2014 mercedes a180 cdi automatic and sometimes when i drive an error message will show saying reverse not possible consult to workshop. After that the car will only drive in gear 2,4,6 but after i turn it off and back on its back to normal.
Anyone know what the issue could be I’ve taken it to a few places and they couldn’t find the problem

I think when the cars cold it engages the power slower as a preventative measure in order to not overrev or put to much pressure on the engine while it’s not warm yet.. or it just performs better with a warmer engine like any other car, just an idea

Which do you prefer?
M135i for the way they drive.
Golf R is probably the most modern.
A45 is the most aggressive looking.
A45 for drift mode, 4wd and looks best
M135i for tuneability & affordability
Golf R would be the one I'd be most comfortable in as I have an Ed30 with 300hp and that is plenty of power for UK roads.
If I lived near the Autobahn then A45 for sure 😂
Does anyone own one of these? I've been looking but heard they need a service every year and was wondering how much the servicing costs and stuff are. I had an m140 and the price of the servicing was daft despite the lack of miles I ever done.
Yes, too much for the miles I do (4000 p/y). Around £300 for “A” service, £650 for “B” service that normally includes gearbox or rear diff service, and that’s at an independent! Let alone main dealer.
Isn't annual service the norm these days? VAG have the option for long life intervals but I'm not convinced they are good for the car in the long run, just a way of keeping costs down on a PCP and let the next buyer pick up the problems out of warranty.
For the performance they offer the service costs aren't too crazy at an independent as smithy647 said, MB wanted £120 per month for a service pack though.
In comparison Ford wanted £450 for a B service on a Mk8 Fiesta ST, just for oil, filter, cabin filter and 3 plugs - no rear diff or gearbox oil change involved in that, even the A service oil and filter is £270.
