- Today I'm doing some more testing for the EST Performance TCU Gearbox tune, and what better scenario to test the car than on a track day at Donington Park!

Thanks for watching! :-) - Авто та транспорт
The car is understeering on entrance to the corner a lot, and it's not oversteering a lot! The oversteer balance is great, and particularly good for the wet, but just bear in mind that lap times are going to improve most with the time your giving up on your entrance to the corner in this circumstance. If your looking to save time this is what I'd address
I am using ENDLESS MX72Plus for 2 yrs with F&R OE discs, so far so good.
That awd is so quick in the rain 🚀🚀
Surely a brake upgrade should have been first on the list considering the hike in HP
Maybe for the track otherwise this car stops perfect with the standard brakes.
How come your front bumoer is a different shade of silver?
Been in a shunt??
@@rmckenna6828 was thinking that but im sure he spent a pretty penny on it.
PPF front bumper
@@rmckenna6828amateur not all front bumpers that have a different shade has been in a wreck ever heard of ppf? Or maybe even repainted cause of stone chips? Hater
@@BalkanBoyBiHre painted wrong colour 😂
Great video Luke! I was lucky enough to attend that Trackday and took a few photos of your A45s in the paddock - looked mega!
Hi Luke, Still remember your 1st track day out in our old A45s, Cracking footage and loving what your doing with the car.
Pads, pagid RST2, they put the rest to shame and i've tried MANY pads... also you should consider redirecting air to the center of the brake discs to cool them, increases quite a lot the life of the pads
We need 0to60. I’ve never seen u do that. What’s the point at this point?
TC OFF ...slightly demonic laugh...yeah that's a dude that knows fun.😂
I have exactly the same as Luke. Stage 2. Cant wait to track day This hatch is not to be ignored. Its a beast!!!
Imagine how sketchy it'd be with the M140 in those conditions
I know M140 are shit!!!
@@marveeeeewhy do you think that?
@@bradleyhanson2038 because I had one!
I find my A45s really loose on the street. I assume it’s set up that way to be fun as opposed to fast. Maybe a couple of sway bar mods required to help it get more grip?
Good to catch up. Great day by the guys at hollies.
Great video, love Donington Park, it's a great track 🏁👍 I was going to ask how you managed to pass noise testing, but then you said it was an unsilenced track day which makes sense.
the shifting sound snappier than the stock tcu.
Dono is my local and 2024 it’s time to get on these track days. Donington hold them really well 👌🏻
Your a brave man taking that out with standing water
(I know its plastic) That's a horrible front bumper match to the rest of the body.
Driving looks good and it fairly shifts in those conditions!
Yeah there is a company in Australia called DBA i believe i installed the Xtreme line on the front check them out, 2021 A45s AMG. might have to pay some import fee's
do you still go to the track now in the uk in mid december ?
I think if you would be doing more track days, or more days racing consecutively, having better brake pads, brake lines (if not already), racing brake fluid, oil change if needed would be of big help. Because if you don't change the setup, you will notice that the OE setup you mostly still have will wear down quickly making you change it unnecessarily.
Your braking far too early so your discs arent getting chance to cool down between corners. You should brake on the corner
😂
Have another. 😂 need to brake offline in the wet, that’s why he was struggling
@@Bertrum1981 offline? Not at those speeds he's not setting a lap record. Never been on track have you.
@@DaleSteelhahaha wtf kid, this car doesn’t have downforce of f1 car hahahah. You need to brake earlier it’s raining. Read more kid, from noe Dale Steel is a moron for me
Stock cars on old top gear driven by a skilled driver like clarkson would beat this pos any day cheaper too and not so needy to get modded
This is already faster than your golf 😂
mate! you really need a dry day run lol. maybe your brakes "juttering" because of the wet?
imagine, bringing back Luke's m140i and going against current a45s , that would be a epic video
Didn’t know Donnington was open on Boxing Day!🤔🙄
Love to see all the “Drivers” on here making comments 😂
I’ve done this, I’d have done that….. lads if you were that good I’d be seeing you in the F1 Pit lane yeah!🤔
Just because someone says they have done this or done that doesn’t mean they are good it’s just an opinion ? If it’s one comment fair enough but there multiple of the same comment because he’s dog water
Nice one! Regarding brakes, if you put EBC's there, I'll unsubscribe!
Pads: Endless (ME20 or N39S for mixed road/track. MA45B if lot of track)
Discs: only choice in my knowledge at the moment for 2-piece rotors (on stock calipers) Paragon Brakes.
Posaidon does a brake kit including AP racing calipers, pads & 2 piece discs.
If you're gonna track the car a lot on hot summer days, I'll probably wanna look into improving front brake cooling too. Will probably help with front tyre temperatures too.
Really awesome that you push this car to the limits, can't wait for more videos!
You say don't use EBC. I'm currently using EBC SR11 pads. I've come from Endless mx72s on a Fk8 civic Type r and they are really good can't fault them. Bite is really strong. Not an EBC salesman either just honest opinion. Their RPX range is decent too. Agree with the rest of the comment tho.
No, I said I'll unsubscribe, not to not use them 😅
@@akinen4492 ahhhh gotcha mate. My bad
I’ve just had Endless MX72 and new stock rotors put on the front of my stage 2 A45S last Friday. Haven’t given them a proper run yet but they feel great so far. I’ll probably do the rears in the near future as the rotors are getting close to the limit.
@roboscot I found with the mx72 once you did a couple of stops they got up to temp the bite was so good! Hopefully they treat you well mate
Yes. Finally a proper car.
Surely timing your laps is usually banned in uk
Dont you worry dale, you dont have a car to know. Back to taking pics of random planes and getting the bus.
Another great video. Can't wait for my new A45s to arrive in a few months time. Question I have on the Gearbox Tune. Whenever you upshift into 5th or 6th it seems to bog down for a split second. Watching the rev counter you can see it. Unless it's yourself lifting off the peddle straight away?
Your content has gone proper stale mate over the past year or 2
Your mad this year is some of the best stuff yet
@@user-ef7qh6qm5w oh right so people are mad because they have a different opinion, can you explain anything he’s done differently from everyone else that’s been “his best stuff”
Highly likely that this'll be my next hatch. I think it tops the lot IMO. Anything to look out for??
Great vid mate👍
