This isn't traditional Alfredo which is only pasta water, butter, and parm. But we love it this way. If you came to tell me that, you win the internet today. As always the print recipe along with process shots is linked above. Thanks for watching and liking my videos!

Most of your recipes are so family-friendly, as in "not a lot of work", so I can easily cook some wonderful meals for my family even on work nights. Not only is the food great, but seeing those happy faces around the table is just the best. Also, I really appreciate you trying to provide the ingredient amount in grams, makes the process a whole lot easier for me. Another superb video, thanks for the content! :)
Thanks! All of my cooking is for my family so the content I make is meant to be easier recipes for at least 4 servings. I am going to do my best to provide grams on all recipes going forward.
@@SipandFeast And always remember, the audience can look up an ounces to grams converter on the Internet just as easily as you can. 😆 I think what's important is to try to give dry ingredients like grated cheese in weight, not volume, since that can vary pretty widely depending on how fine the granules are, be they cheese, salt, etc.
its very evident that you are not only a good cook and food lover but the love in your family just shines thru-its absolutely delightful when you light up like a christmas tree when your son comes in to test & rate -thanks for sharing you're a good person & its a pleasure to watch and listen to your shows - music choices are also primo!
It means a lot when you acknowledge the inflation with the food price right now. It resonates with me so hard in a way that is surprising for me too. Your cooking and filming feel realistic. Thank you for that. This is why I gravitate towards your channel.
My late mother lived to be 93 years old and the older she got, the less she wanted , as far as presents! So for about the last 10 years of her life I would make this for her birthday, it was her favorite dish! Thanks for recalling a pleasant memory for me!
The beauty of this video is the spontaneity of your family. Your wife talking to you from the sidelines, your son with his glass of water, then something in his hair, and finally the napkin poking in from the right. The recipe is great but your video is what makes it! Nice one Jim.

Really appreciate you incorporating the imperial measurements in the recipes it helps a ton with preparation. Although by this point I've watched so many videos that I've got the conversion for cups, and ounces, and pints memorized. Great video as usual.
Aww look at James! "Needs more pepper"... puts pepper... tries it again. "Yep, needed more pepper". Go, you! For knowing what your taste buds really want. This was a great, pretty simple recipe. Thank you!!

I have only watched 2 minutes so far but I just want to say thank you for adding grams to the ingredients. As someone who's watching from Germany, I almost always had to look up some of the measurements (like Cups or Ounces) so that really helps a lot! By the way, I don't think you need to add grams for stuff like Salt or Herbs, only psychopaths would measure 2 grams of Herbs and I think every kitchen has teaspoons :D
Indeed, and I appreciate the metric a lot too! If need be some things can be measured by volume in ml instead of g! 1 cup = 237ml and that's usually rounded to 250ml to keep things simple!
You are absolutely my Favorite. Thank you for showing us easy, budget-friendly ways to WOW are families. I love the addition of the "taste tester". My son is now the family taste tester!!!
Thanks for the recipes. A trick I use to always make my pasta better is to take a cup of pasta water a few minutes before it is done and use it to heat up my bowl. Just dump it out before you serve. Having a warm bowl always makes for a better meal.
I wanted to let you know I made your lemon garlic shrimp pasta dish and it was AMAZING! Can’t wait to make it for my husband but I want to make this one tonight! Thank you so much for sharing your recipes with us!
I make my Alfredo sauce the same way, except I add some garlic powder, pepper and Italian seasoning into the sauce. And sometimes I’ll add some Cajun seasoning into it also. Delicious 🤤

Made it last night and it turned out great! A little bit of pasta water thinned it out just right because as you say, by the time you serve it and get to the table, it will tighten up on you. I had a little left over so I'm going to save some pasta water to add when I re-heat it.
Love the recipe, looks delicious. I'm glad you didn't even bother to address the so-called cardinal rule of not mixing cheese and seafood. Also, I'm with your son and your wife, I'd prefer it with pepper. By the way, you should hold a contest -- winner gets to be a taste tester for a day!
