      There's a lot more going on here than just echoing back her values. Don't miss what's really working here because you recognize something familiar.

    Great demonstration, Damon. I love how you are able to pick up what Iulia's "values" are and easily make it a pleasant conversion. I tend to get cut up in the conversion and then keep asking "so, what do you value in your career". How can I identify what her "Values" are as easy as you are doing here? this is by far my favorite demo. Thank YOU.

      It takes practice. I wouldn't ask someone what they value because value is a loaded word that will send their mind in different directions and make them feel like they have give the "right" answer. Just simply ask what's important to them about something or what does _______ do for them.

      I was just in London where I presented at the UK Hypnosis Convention. I was there last year as well and I even put on a 1 day workshop post convention. I will be back in London in May to present at the NLP International Conference.

    Not fair your wife is also a good communicator

    • @DamonCart

      She is, but that's not what makes this work. When you can draw out of someone what's important to them, even if they're inarticulate, they will warm up to you fast and they will talk to you like you've known them their whole life.

    How about a demonstration with someone you don’t know or knows you. Completely different when there is no familiarity, comfort or established trust between you and the person!

    • @DamonCart
      @DamonCart  7 місяців тому

      Are you interested in learning something or just challenging me? If you can hold a conversation with a person, you can implement this. I did this same process with my wife before she was my wife multiple times and both times she didn't even know I was doing a process. I've also done the same thing with hundreds of people.
      If you want to see me demonstrating processes with people I have no personal relationship with, here's a playlist: ua-cam.com/video/IUWF03MUf8I/v-deo.html

    Are these words similar to what some in NLP and hypnotists refer to as trance words? How do you distingiish which words they are in a conversation?

    • @DamonCart
      @DamonCart  7 місяців тому

      A value is a trance word because it's what is called a nominalization in NLP, which is a word that is really a verb, a process, that's converted into a noun. For example, there's no such thing as a thought. You can't pick up a thought, put it in your pocket, and take it somewhere. But the word thought is technically a noun when really a thought is thinking, an action, a verb. When you convert processes into nouns it gets very hypnotic. When you're eliciting values, you're asking the person to generalize from an activity into higher and higher logical levels, which puts them into a trance. So if someone tells me they love working the job they're working and I ask them what does doing that work do for them, I'm asking them to generalize at a higher logical level to a feeling that includes so many experiences and possibilities, which puts them into a trance. Working would be the actual activity that they're doing. When I ask them what does doing that work do for them and they say "It makes me happy", happiness is the generalization. Happiness is a value; a generalization about an experience that's important to them.

    Hi Damon, off topic but, would appreciate if you could help me with this question. Why might you set an anchor as the state is in the ascendency? btw loved this video, have liked and subscribed. 😊

      I'm not sure that I understand your question. Are you asking why do we set an anchor as the state is intensifying rather than going down?

    You promise a lot but don't deliver, I was waiting the whole time for some structure, like first ask this, then this... never came .. super disappointment. In the beginning "ohhh pls prooomise you won't misuuuse it " Misuse WHAT tf...? you have no clear easy to follow structure or method, just a poor demonstration.
