Those old tones were called SCU for Selective Call Unit. Each SCU had a two-part tone, and they were different from one SCU to the next. After a while you could tell which stations were being dispatched just by hearing those tones, since each station (and BC, etc.) had their own, distinct SCU tones.
if you come in Dec/Jan you gotta try and ride with Tampa Fire Rescue or Orange County Fire Rescue Sta#50,51 or 1 of the squads. Or Orlando Fire Dept Heavy Rescue 1 or station 2
Nice vid! That must suck though, because you guys drove all the way there for nothing... Hey, this is a suggestion, but would you consider to make vids about the fire department in my city? It's the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD). I would love to see vids about our HFD in action!
@SH3RIFF187 there are a lot of people sending in videos on rescue911.de However, only my own videos are being uploaded on this YT account. This is for copyright reasons. If you see my name at the end of a clip, then it has really been made by me.
Damn that sux they were about to eat and they got a call they must have been hungry but much respect for all the fire fighters in the world thx for everything you guys are some true heroes
Look everyone is pulling over what i beautiful country, In my country drivers are idiots when firetruck is coming they are driving as normal not pulling over. American Rescue Team best in the world!!!
Just curious, thought they got canceled by the Highway Patrol but right around the 7 minute they actually rolling Code 3 again, Did the highway patrol get back with them and advised them that there were injuries?????
@theatomicfart1001 i will probably be in florida again in december/january. so if you know any fire station that would like to have me as a guest just let me know.
Get the f out of the way drivers. Don't you guys know the law when you see a big red fire engine with lights flashing and sirens howling pull to the right that the law here in California.
Its that way everywhere. I've had them slam on their brakes right in front of the rig; others will pay no attention to you despite the siren, lights and airhorn. Some people are just idiots.
jorge chiu LACoFD and LAFD has a policy of not driving Code 3 when they are on the freeways. Because it really doesn't do them any good. Especially with the way traffic is in LA.
With the LACoFD, I keep expecting to hear the tones that were used on "Emergency" along with Sam Lanier's voice.
Only if it was station 127
Chris Whitbread That tone currently is not in use. Even if the Station was 127 or 51, it will be the updated tone.
exactly. We do it here now in Fort Wayne,Indiana because we all bring back the tv show called Emergency
That station now has those as their actual station tones. For the past several years that I know of

I love that nice looking Ford L Series in the station, to bad you weren't riding in that.

Wie immer einfach nur geil deine Inside Views *****
My family moved to Bouquet Canyon in 1965. This before Station 111. 73 responded first in all the way from Newhall.
@TheMtotheArvin that is what is referred to as a "tender" or water tanker truck for areas where there are no hydrants or water supply.

Yes the way the station is set up.
@51ENGINE51 Yeah we do, the squad has 2 medics, and the patrol is single man staffed.

@ImRatherTall at first it looked like a automatic to me but it's a manual.... very weird
Just curious, thought they got canceled by the Highway Patrol but right around the 7 minute they actually rolling Code 3 again, Did the highway patrol get back with them and advised them that there were injuries?????
Is that Q2b on a timer or is the officer's foot? Lol
Good video! Wondering why this engine sounds like it has a manual trans? I know its prob a auto, just never heard a fire eng trans shift like this...
I love how the squad travels close behind the engine and makes the same mistake they did but the patrol knew exactly where to go. lmao!
FB1 Response Videos I love your videos
@theatomicfart1001
i will probably be in florida again in december/january. so if you know any fire station that would like to have me as a guest just let me know.

What a maze trying to get to the other side of the freeway.
Get the f out of the way drivers. Don't you guys know the law when you see a big red fire engine with lights flashing and sirens howling pull to the right that the law here in California.

No station 73 is the closest
At 22:59
It amazes me how slow they drive with a code 3. I couldn't imagine us doing it
jorge chiu LACoFD and LAFD has a policy of not driving Code 3 when they are on the freeways. Because it really doesn't do them any good. Especially with the way traffic is in LA.
Agreed West Florida Fire Photography.I'am from Los Angeles and know the traffic there.
Did you not see how winding and curvy the streets were? Try pushing for speed there, you'll roll a rig, especially a tiller!
Awesome
No respect for the siren
Nevermind I just saw the discripion
Not only did the call end up being a dud, but now their casserole will be unevenly cooked
2:22 close call...
